  • I bought these Lionel trestle packs from my friend Art's Model Trains. Nothing permanent here just playing around with them, tell me what you guys think!

Interesting Ray, and you did a nice job fitting the elevated to the layout!
You know, it's a bit small for a full-sized train but a trolley might be just the thing. One good thing about multiple loops, when they're all in operation a viewers eye can't concentrate on one area and the layout looks bigger than it really is. Works for me.

Maybe you can add a couple of tunnel portals and steep mountain to break up the oval. Move John Deer to the corner.

I like that elevated line look, even though it is a small loop it looks great and adds a different element to the table.

Buy a electrical surge protector for your new transformer

Run your Budd cars on it. Commuter line.

Nice hat Ray! I like the elevated line. I think your Budd Cars will be right at home on it. - Ryan

Nice. The concept is quite good. I would put a subway car or two on it and make it like Stillwell Avenue in Coney. Hopefully, you got your power problem resolved. The offer still stands for the CW80, if necessary. An excellent video, as always.

With the elevated track you could actually raise it up higher make your own platform pieces for underneath of it for higher elevation and run a switch where you can take a train from lower elevation to a higher elevation and still have clearance underneath and able to see your rail lines below, or make a partial second level so you can put your John Deere dealership on top. There are a few ideas I can think of right now brother, I will have more ideas for you to help you out.

Yankees /Mets Subway series set would look nice on the elevated loop

This really “elevated” your layout! 😅 looking forward to seeing how you integrate things together. It’s a careful balance!

I figured you would have a Lionel ZW-L transformer

Those crane cars are really nice - wish I knew who made them. Nice collection.

Can you put a building under part of it & anchor the track to that building? I don't think the elevated track is needed there. Perhaps elsewhere. You could make a point to point elevated section (not a loop but a bumper at each end)

Very nice did you nail the legs down to the Lionel O Scale fastbacks

Could it possible extend out a little more with to the right between the outermost track and the one just inside it? Not sure about the back side but it looks like you can add a straight piece on the front side. Since you can isolate the track, you can also easily run a conventional trolley or other small car or 2 around that loop vs a full train.

Ray, sorry to be a wee bit negative but the layout looks a bit cluttered with the raised track. Is there any way you could extend the table slightly and have the raised loop resting half on the original table and half on the extension? Glad to see you got your power issue solved!😀🇬🇧
