    Dear sir, your vdo showing a beautiful game of Akiba Rubenstein is very interesting and instructive too. Playing with surprises against Dr.Alekhine requires very calculative brave heart and the surprise stated with B.f7+ really stuns everyone. The move after move, white creats mating net and grabs the king. Your soft tongued analytical commentry with momentary pause of Guess the.move is liked much. Thanking you for such session of graceful game and looking forward for such sessions. Thanks and regards. Dmbhangaonkar

    Alekhine and Rubinstein were truly masters of openings, the accuracy of their moves is even comparable to modern-day chess!

    White started out by developing his queen side & black opened with a kingside set up. Due to threats from black white is forced to shift over to the kingside. Make no mistake Black's threats are dire. Losing anyway, black allows his bishop to be pinned & mate soon follows. A crisp quick pugilistic game. Chess is a species of boxing.

    I think I played thru this game years ago but no matter - still worth study today. One of Rubinstein's finest for obvious reasons! :-)
    Great choice.

    Another gem from Akiba. Alekhine must have been very upset.
    I was quite pleased to spot the Bxf7 and Ne5 moves, and the f3 pawn move. Not that I would have ever been able to get into position to make those moves.

    A satisfied smile on my face after watching Rubinstein crush the "Coward Who Fled the Capablanca Rematch".

    • @chrisbaldwin3148
      @chrisbaldwin3148 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Oissev Onos Capablanca killed Alekhine in all six decisive games they played prior to the 1927 match, and probably didn't take him seriously enough to properly prepare.
      I'm positive he would've crushed Alekhine like a bug in a return match, which is precisely why Alekhine ducked him all those years.

    • @podosgoland6857
      @podosgoland6857 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Oissev Onos sir, do you have any specific reason or opinion about Alekhine seems like avoiding the return match? I sense that Alekhine had some kind of fear on Capa. Wouldn't this be an advantage for Capa if the happen?

    • @chrisbaldwin3148
      @chrisbaldwin3148 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Oissev Onos At least in that event Alekhine could claim a smidgen of honour for himself.
