I love the town and the music. Man this game really carried my life, it has become my culture.
I was ten when this came out, I loved it from watching the non-playable demo over and over, and then the game delivered so hard.
Within the year, I was in the local swimming pool on a school "games" day, I couldn't swim (still can't) and a fat girl pushed me off her float so I sunk. I was under for a good 30 seconds and thought I was going to die but they put a yardstick in the water, I grabbed it and they pulled me out.
I had also recently picked up the curse ring in Mideel.
I was convinced that was the reason I nearly drowned 😅
True story.
It's my religion.
It is my new family.
This game hits differently when you have a miserable childhood and this game is the only retreat you have. I literally cried when I finished the game. If not for these games I probably would have surrendered in life. But this game taught me to be strong despite bad things happening and to look forward in life.

Ah one of my favorite tracks from FFVII. It also comes pretty early after the death of Aeris, so the melancholy sound on top of the raw wound of that wound makes it extremely memorable to me.

The worst is knowing this is the place where Aeris' parents used to live Gast and Ifalna so just after her death you can see the house where she was born. And even how Hojo killed Gast and took both Ifalna and Aeris for experiments
@@LegacyofKainisBack Thank you for reminding me of a important piece of Aeris's life, it's been at least 15 years ago that I played and beaten FF7, so I kinda forgotten many details since then. I think it's time for me to replay the game now to refresh my memory lol.

This was my favorite area. I love snow so much. And this music is so so good
I just realized;
Why the heck is Vincent the only one who is actually halfway dressed for crossing the snowy area? You'd think they would've gotten coats or something while they were in town o.o
I always felt lost during this section of the game
This is the Single RPG that I still cannot get over and finish today. 3 main factor:
1. Cloud goes veggie
2. Aeris death
3. Ending has no closure
Story is great. Music is awesome. Too heavy. Just too heavy.
Running through that damned snow area for eternity....

I haven't completed ff7 since I was about 6/7yr old with my step dad. Decided to finally replay through it for the first time in 20 years and had no idea what I was in for
@@shivur5073 Yeah I still love it. I hope you enjoy it. It breaks my heart that the remake departs from the original so much that I'm not even interested in it.
@duberdurm I don't think any remake will ever be a true remake unfortunately. All us gamers want is the same game just better graphics but I guess they don't understand that
@@shivur5073I think if the remake didn't go in that sort of kingdom hearts direction in the end and took some time to introduce Sephiroth like the original it would've been fine but, well...
