I prefer it as a song over any other overworld theme from any final fantasy game, but judging it strictly as an overworld theme, and not just as a song, I prefer Terra’s theme or blue fields, because while they weren’t great, they weren’t missed when you went into a battle. Combine that with the fact that FFVII’s battle theme is so abrupt with no baseline or leadup makes it feel like whiplash whenever a battle starts. So I think the second overworld theme worked better, but as a song, main theme all the way baby!

Right from the start, those horns are amazing. The main theme is beautiful and peaceful, but always felt so forbidding to me at the same time. I love the contrast with the brass and the strings. Much nostalgia. Such feels. Wow. Cannot wait for the remake :D

That choral addition really reminds me of Howard Shore's work on The Return of the King. Just adding that last final touch to make a familiar theme sound as big as possible! Incredibly well done.

You hit all the right points. Most arrangers mute the necessary instruments or over blow them to mute the others. This is probably one of the few that exceed the original orchestration. I will be referring others to this often! 10/10

After hearing snippets of the Rebirth theme, this is definitely a good alternative of it - especially that part from 2:29 to 2:40, very, very similar to the new Main Theme in Rebirth.

Uematsu literally created a full symphonic movement for the FFVII Overworld theme. It feels criminal to break it up.
This is the best music from FF7. You don’t hear this theme in any other FF games. It’s completely unique to FF 7.
Some of the themes even of this song have been re-used in Final Fantasy IX actually
