Ice Skating on a Cruise Ship - Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship Ice Rink

- While on board the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas, we went down to deck 3 to create an in-depth tour of its unique ice rink venue called Studio B. During select times of our cruise, Studio B hosted an amazing ice show with world class ice skaters (many former Olympians) performing daring maneuvers.
At other times the space opens up for complimentary ice skating. The amount of ice skaters on this cruise ship ice rink was limited to a set amount of participates at a time. The cruise ship ice rink may not be as spacious as some you’ll find on land, although it was still certainly adequate to skate around in a circle and have some fun. Guests are instructed to skate in one direction to help avoid collisions. As you can see in the video, there is a wide range of talent from never been ice skating before to individuals who are very comfortable on ice skates.

Just an FYI for Ice skaters, they do have figure skates(Jackson) but Basically you can’t do any moves besides a one-foot glide, and go forwards, I was on Adventure Of The Seas. No jumps, no spins, and apparently no going backwards. Even if no one is on the ice. Though people will watch you and they will think it’s still impressive.(sometimes they will clap for you)
The shows are amazing. They do some banned elements.

1. is it free?
2. is there a limit to how many skaters can skate at once?
@@Aydenteee 1. Ice skating is complimentary,, I think the ice skating shows are free(I could be wrong about that)
2. For this one, I’m not sure. I do remember seeing a maximum capacity sign but I don’t remember how much it was.
The ice skating rink does get crowded pretty quickly.
I was literally thinking just now that I could bring my skates to a cruise ship and practice when the rink is not busy, and then I see your comment😭 Is it the case that there are staff actively watching the rink and prohibiting people from doing anything except for forward skating?
