it's damn irritating with these people commenting that Mr.Hanyu is showing off here. For your information, he was there TO TEST HIS NEW BLADES which he bought/fixed in Tokyo in 2015, so he just went to a near ice rink for a short-time test. He skates fast, and needs lot of spaces to land his jumps and other elements, why would he choose a public ice rink to "show off" then? he was there for some minutes to test the blades whether they're comfortable to use or not. THAT'S WHY he jumped 3 Loops (because this is an edge jumps) and chose a single lutz for a toe jump. After he confirmed that he's comfortable with the blades, HE WENT OUT OF THE RINK. Please understand this. Thanks.
Oh nice, thanks for explaining. I was really wondering what he did there. Not what he did there in general but what he did there looking this uncomfortable and having no space to jump without risk. I'm overall amazed he did jump at all. Even if I could jump *lol* I couldn't do it in such a space with little kid's. I'd be too worried that something might happen to them if I slip. Since even pros can slip at any time, really. But if it was a test, he had to jump and he did it carefully. His overly concentrated face makes perfect sense, too. :)

In the public skate sessions at my rink it's really hard to even find the room to do a waltz jump let alone doubles and triples! There is no order and the skaters go wherever they want and I cannot practice. :( I like how this rink is set up:)
Well, skating is also like Japan's most loved sport, it's really big over there just like Football is big on the UK! So is normal for them to be better prepared when it comes to figure skating

Seeing him do loops and that Lutz around people made me realize just how well he does it all. If you use the people as like vantage points to compare distance, his tricks become more impressive. The height and distance he manages to do with such ease show just how skilled he really is.
He's so adorable. Especially when kids want to get close to him and get an autograph or something. Those people are so lucky, I want to at least see him in person once and take a picture or autograph

i would have FELL OUT on that ice. They would have to come and get me.
間近で見ると圧倒的迫力 ですね。高さも凄い❗
In the public skate sessions at my rink it's really hard to even find the room to do a waltz jump let alone doubles and triples! There is no order and the skaters go wherever they want and I cannot practice. :( I like how this rink is set up:)
Donna S i like how the middle is a free space for those who are practicing their jumps
Well, skating is also like Japan's most loved sport, it's really big over there just like Football is big on the UK! So is normal for them to be better prepared when it comes to figure skating
Yo~ cool to know! I'm moving there now:) lol
Most all ice rinks in America skate in One direction and the middle is for practicing.🌬️❤⛸️
😘💯💃⛸️🌹
I would literally FAINT if I find myself skating in the same rink as Yuzu.
That's so awesome that those little girls had the chance to share the ice with one of the all-time greats of figure skating! Yuzuru's down-to-earth demeanor makes him that much more loveable!
That delayed single lutz was art...
How I wish I was one of the kids that was there with him that time. Baby Yuzu is so cute.
I feel like when I'm a mom I'm going to get my kids on ice as soon as they can walk.
Yeppp, or any sport for that matter. Don't wanna waste the potential a kid has to become an athlete
I love him showing off. I mean he's giving this kids an idea or visualization of how great they can be one day if they pursue their passion.
yang yang
He wasn't showing off but just testing his new blades which was being fixed near this ice rink lol😂
But I agree these kids'd've been inspired by him and treasure the moment skating with 2 time Olympic champion!!
he is so precious i luv him godbless
Seeing him do loops and that Lutz around people made me realize just how well he does it all. If you use the people as like vantage points to compare distance, his tricks become more impressive. The height and distance he manages to do with such ease show just how skilled he really is.
seems all little girl r sooo curious abt his blade, those little girl was imitated his move wayy tooo cuteeee
He's so adorable. Especially when kids want to get close to him and get an autograph or something. Those people are so lucky, I want to at least see him in person once and take a picture or autograph
look at him omg pls protect him at all costs
This makes me miss ice skating so badly. I wish I never got injured
yoi has lead me here.
lol same
Same here. Fuck anime sometimes xD
Jada Twillie same
Same here! And I'm so glad it did, I've discovered an amazing sport and some great skaters like Yuzu and Javi thanks to it. :)
you're not the only one.
gunna watch that skating movie now..
can't remember the name.. help?
his jump at 2:18 was so graceful omg
The guy is a rock star. Chill out haters...
The guy that puts ice in Tokyo Dome and skated a solo show for 35,000 people 🎉the absolute GOAT 👏🏼
These kids just skated around a living legend ❤️👏👏👏
How lucky is that! Catching the world champ at a public ice rink!! And especially since we all love Yuzuru so much it'd be such honour to meet him in person.
Yuzuru is so damn cute!! I'm---
2:16 is the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life...
OMG imagine being there with the winner and also someone that broke a record ❤️
Man broke 19 record ✨
I would be trying to skate and then falling on the ice, i would crawl as fast as i can to catch up to him and be like "HEEEY COME BAAAAAAAAAACK!!"
