Think I’m going to buy another with the laser stippling for my full size and get rid of all my other modules. I also forgot to mention I bought it with the offset extended mag release and it is in the perfect position for my hand

    The TXG frame, tungsten infused polymer, was intended for competition shooting. They love to make their pistols nice and heavy, 34 oz roughly, so it transitions from target to target smoothly, and it soaks up recoil to a degree. Anyone who carries a 3 lb+ pistol for duty is either a gigachad or is oblivious to the TXG's intent.

    • @JoshR-t9j
      @JoshR-t9j ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean the staccatto is marketed as a duty weapon and isn’t far off the weight. Sig making these heavy frames, smith and Wesson making a metal framed gun, the 2011 craze it’s the way the industry is headed I feel.

    • @CalzaTheFox
      @CalzaTheFox ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoshR-t9j Yup, but it started as a competition gun under STI, and is now trending back in that direction. A lot of elements were streamlined to reduce snagging, but a heavy gun is not always a comp gun, that's simply the trend. Weight just benefits a comp gun more than a duty one.
      Plus, some folks don't like the feel of polymer. They prefer aluminum or steel, which is naturally more heavy.

    @aleffel9668 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I love Sig innovating with the FCU and swappable frames and such. However the p320 design is not what I would choose. They need to redesign their flagship striker fired pistol line. Take the p365 design and upscale it for duty use. I know they won’t do this because of the military contract, but they should. The P365 design is superior in every way.

    I had the p80 grip module on my p320 for a while and it was ok, but it was far too blocky for me and I had to dremel and radius a lot of edges, and even then I'd still get glock knuckle on high round count shooting sessions. Then when I did the PMM flush comp setup I got the WC full size grip module, and even with the comp and weights installed in the GM, I just can not run the gun as fast compared to the p80 module and no comp. I agree the WC module is too thin, and I can feel on my strong hand it almost leaves an air gap on my palm (I wear large sized gloves). I just ordered the slick m1811 module, and gonna do my own stipple job, so we'll see how this goes 🤞

      @theKashConnoisseur ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CountryTortoise In the comments here he replied to someone asking about grip width compared to other common modules including the WC, and he stated the Brouwer was the slimmest of them all. Seems to be an inconsistency there. Also he states the WC grip is just a more ergonomic version of the stock Sig grips, but I could have sworn the WC grips come with the 1911 grip angle, the higher, longer beavertail, and the higher trigger relief same as the Brouwer. WC's business was built on 1911s so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that they modeled their Sig grip on 'em.

    If people are concerned about a gun discharging uncommanded there are options to make sure that never happens. Whether you choose the manual safety or the trigger safety agency put together it's up to you.
    It's tough to rag on the P320 when the vast majority of reports are of guns that just run. You see them at local competitions, you see them with officers (even though they supposedly pop off), and with prepared citizens.
    If you don't personally trust a gun, or you struggle to deal with the different impulse, then don't buy one. I live in a crap state and even I can testfire a lot of the common and some of the less common pistols out there before I even think of buying one.
    Glock, Walther, Smith, Sig, HK, CZ, etc I honestly don't care. If you hand it to me I will shoot it.

    Just received mine. Holy shit this is 100% the best polymer grip module for the 320. No question in my mind. I’ve had the X Grip full, X Compact, P80 and the Wilson Combat full. NONE of them come close. People rave about the Wilson Combat but I agree, they’re too small circumference wise. I also hate the boomer looking side grip design lol. This looks and feels like a 2011. The silica carbide looks great but I just have the base version and it’s plenty of grip on the front and backstrap and that’s all that matters imo. The polymer used and overall molding is second to none. Quite honestly other than the metal grip mods I truly think this is has the most thought and design put into it period. It’s perfect. I have a fairly strong suspicion that Brouwer is paying for reviews and has completely fabricated the data they report on their website. They’re active in Sig groups on Facebook trying to use them as a platform to sell these modules and will get somewhat hostile when you question their product or where this data comes from.

    • @rdrgear
      @rdrgear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This response is long. But I feel it’s an honest response to your statement/accusation. I’m open to the dialogue, because if you are you will get an education for free.
      I can say here publicly.
      1. I have not been paid in anyway. But this is always the go to comment on YT. Which is understandable because before the YT outright assault on all things firearms. There was a culture of pay to play.
      2. The Brouwer team are made of former, and active duty members of the military, with some spending time with in Special Operations. That’s not a bragging point, that’s just what they did and where they spent their time on the M18/M17.
      Some of these same people were part of the M18/M17 development and implementation program. Meaning direct hands on enduser interaction of the pistol.
      I came up in the retail side of firearms stated in 98. I started carrying a pistol professionally in 2002 during the Winter Olympics here in utah. Working in the Executive Protection side of contract security. I spent 13 years doing that.
      I grew up on the the 1911. It was my first pistol with my 20+ year Gunnery SGT father. We did not have other pistols in the house.
      I will admit I too was skeptical of a 1911 grip angle. But the proof is in the product. The grip angle does allow for better recoil mitigation, the grip angle shape of the frame allows for IMO, better presentation, allow the shooter to FIND THE DOT SOONER. WHICH ALLOWS FOR FASTER SHOOTING.
      When I got my First frame it was quite surprised. So I reached out to Brouwer’s to ask some questions. If you have been shooting a 320. And have never shot a 1911/2011. This module make seem like some social media hype. I can tell you the data is real. And there are other shooters much better than I. Putting through the paces.
      It’s easy to be a hater, from a key board. And make accusations that are simply unfounded. Or you could skip a week of morning coffee’s and purchase a frame for yourself. And use social media to post your findings. It’s easy to throw shade, when you don’t know what it’s like to work under the heat of the sun. 🤙

I’m not accusing you of anything, but obviously you’ve taken offense to my statement so that’s something to raise an eyebrow at since paid reviews are a common thing on TH-cam.
      His behavior when asking questions about this product is a lot similar to how Kevin B from Q responds to criticism and when questioned about how they came up with the data they boast about on their website, he wasn’t able to give a clear, articulate response. There’s nothing wrong with questioning data especially when it doesn’t seem legit and when someone involved with that company can’t explain anything about how they came up with it, anybody would become suspicious of the data.
      He posts on a number of Sig Facebook groups trying to promote this product like he has no involvement with it which is already dishonest and I’ve seen him warned in groups over it.
      There’s nothing closed minded about calling someone out for conducting themselves in an unethical manner which is exactly what I’ve seen from Josh Bennett on Facebook. If he’s legit then he has nothing to worry about but, he never responds in a way that would make me think he is.
