  • After 2 months and a few different types of terrain I'll go over how the Yeti has been holding up and overall thoughts on motor, suspension, and drivetrain.

The second run I had with mine, I ramped it high in the air, once the yeti landed nose first, the servo was done. I replaced it with a savox servo and problem solved. Great review, liked and subbed.👍

Rc Basher Boi oh damn, glad it's held up since then. Servo is definitely on my list of stuff to replace. Do any suspension mods on yours?

Thick Skinned RC : I've only done a servo upgrade. I re-greased the back and front diff with TLR grease. It's a great basher overall, I have nothing bad to say about it.👍

Sway bars on front and back also with a rear locker the truck runs straight. With the front diff get the hot racing diff and differential case you'll never have that problem again at least I haven't. Also yeah the stock suspension isn't great but use a double spring kit and some heavier shock oil it runs like a champ. It alot of work but well worth it once finished

Appreciate the info man! Front swap bar definitely on the list too. For the double springs, do you mean one of the HR kits or just double up the stock springs?

@@1TenthScaleRC what I did for the shocks was I did buy the hot racing setup but it didnt work like I wanted it to so what i did was just use the short silver spring from HR and the stock spring together with 45 weight oil and it work great it soaks up the jumps better. That was for the front with the real I used the HR long silver spring and short red spring so far this has been my best setup. I hope this helps.

Hi there. Just picked up a couple of Yeti XL's for my boys, both used with some Hot Racing parts. You mentioned a site that has some info on the diffs etc - we already took a rear diff housing out - one of the two bearings next to the ring gear failed and allowed the shaft to wobble around taking out all the plastic. Do you have a link to that site? Cheers!!!

Hey man, bummer about the broken stuff. See a couple comments below. Barharbor basher is basically the godfather of yeti XLs :) hes got some good good good info on his channel.

I honestly don't understand the expensive price on this car!

I FEEL LIKE I AM THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD TO REPLACE DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR BECAUSE IT ALL BROKE. FRONT BUMPER BROKE, REAR LOWER LINK BROKE 3 DAYS AFTER BUYING IT. FRONT DIFF, STEARING LINKS, FRONT DRIVE SHAFT CAME OUT. PIN TO THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL DRIVE SHAFT, REPLACED 3 OF THE SHOCK ABSORBERS, THEN ENDED UP JUST BUYING THE ALUMINUM UPGRADES. AND IM SURE IM MISSING A FEW THINGS. THE CAR IS VERY FUN. BUT THE PLASTIC PARTS ALL FAIL AND BREAK. I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT FOR 800 DOLLARS AND STARTED REPLACING PARTS TWO OR THREE DAYS AFTER.
