I went into this film expecting nothing and was pleasantly surprised. Not a great movie by any means, but its a solid film that was fun to watch. I get the sense that it could have been a hell of a lot better, and that it was rushed slightly. 7/10 from me.

This is a bad Texas Chainsaw Massacre film but a good solo LeatherFace film.If judged for what it is its easily one of the better ones in the franchise.But I will say get the bluray it comes with the original ending which was darker an you can choose to watch the film with that ending.

definitely agree with ya, it had something holding it back from really taking off. it just never got there, it tried but just didn't reach the spectacle i wish it would have. Great review tho!

I can understand your reasoning behind liking the movie but I just couldn't buy into it. I done my own review of the movie on my channel. I just felt it tried to be TCM2003 with the camera angles and cinematography and also tried to be part of the original series. Failing on both accounts.

I didn't see much of TCM2003 in it, personally. I saw a lot more Devil's Rejects. I can totally understand why anyone couldn't buy into it. As I said in the video, I think it's very middle of the road. I'm not sure if I particularly liked the movie, but I can't say that it's a bad one. I can't say that it's a very good one, either.

Wolfman's Got Nards alright, it's a prequel! Why can't we believe that maybe he got fatter during years because he is a cannibal and butchers must eat in general, and maybe his hair grew during the days! Why can't this be taken as a theory?

Is it me or do This and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning both have posters of Leatherface walking down the road with a chainsaw? I didn't personally enjoy this one it just felt like a cheap version of the devils rejects and the poster also spoilers it

SPOILER ALERT loved the opening scene with all the family and loved the killing of Hartman, for the first time since the original movie i´ve been really scared of leatherface and so sad on his behalf :-/ felt sorry for him, he was such a sweet boy. The only thing besides the names of the family, that was like in the original was the young actor who play Nubbins he was such a joy to watch

To me LEATHERFACE is a horrible TCM film, but actually a not bad grindhouse style horror film on its own.

I really liked it as well. It was much better than I thought and it surprised me. It should have been given a wide release, as it was much better than TC 3D.

What an unusual way to release this film. I will definitely watch it. It surely can't be worse than Texas Chainsaw 3D, that was the friggin worst.
