An absolutely amazing rendition of the Kate Bush classic. The operatic approach works great and the musical arrangement is fantastic. The video production deserves special recognition. Emer’s numerous tributes to the original are obvious but she doesn’t fail to create her very own version which is brilliant.

Wow! I love arrangement and the way it builds! It's not as creepy or quirky as the original but it's kinda refreshing to see someone do an interpretation instead of an imitation while still referencing Kate. And the POWER in that voice - whew!!!

I'm especially looking forward to when you release "The Voice". I'm betting the 'Force Of Nature' with that song would be no other than Brendan Graham. Mr. Graham has done so much with regard to Irish cultural revivalism with his many beautiful and poignant songs and his literature about the Irish experience. As you already probably knew, I love the Irish people deeply. Part of Ireland's mystical appeal for me is how , for a relatively small land, it has contributed to fields like vocals, instrumentation, dance and poetry in a beautifully disproportionate large percentage. :)
Brendan Graham will definitely get mentioned but it's his subject 'Mother Nature' and Irish history that I'll be focussing on! Your love if Ireland is so evident and humbling James! Three songs in this series will be a strong nod to Ireland and it's rich musical heritage so I hope you enjoy them :-)
I like this cover. I'm a definite Kate Bush fan and I heard covers of this song by Pat Benatar and a few more. This one stands out both by the perfect pitch and by the affect of the visual act. This singer can act too! When I heard this song in 1980 by Kate it had about the same effect on me as scratching a black board with a chalk. I wondered how anyone could like that. Well - I did the second time and from there on out. No one else, however perfectly sung, had that effect on me.

Emer, This was "Kate`s" best selling single and still Is, for anyone attempting this song, It must have been daunting enough. But to come within a whisker of toppling Kate`s performance is crazy. Emer, this was "Outstanding" in every respect, the video production along with the location enhances the whole beauty of this version of Kate`s classic song. As good if not better than the original. I am sure Kate Bush would be so proud. Grew up in the 70s and as a fan of Kate Bush and this song was iconic. Not heard anybody sing it better until now. Beautiful interpretation and wonderful vocals.
The only true way to appreciate this song is to have read the book first. Then you will understand the passion, longing and desperation in Kate Bush's voice in this song, something sorely missing in any cover's performance and recording. Its not a cheerful song but one that shows much sorrow, emptiness and wanting. Only Kate Bush can do it because she wrote the song interpreting what she thought would be the feelings of Kathy. She sang it well but the performance is nowhere near Kate Bush in its depth and emotion. Still a beautiful performance.
As a fan of Kate Bush I think it's safe to say this one very good cover, Music is great and the Voice is brilliant together they make a lovely cover , Cheer's to everyone .
