Thanks for this we don't understand our own culture and traditions meanwhile look what happened when the Queen of England died lay she continue to rest in peace she was mourned and celebrated but when it comes to us its a question mark. I love my culture and i celebrate it to the fullest.

Our cultures and traditions are beautiful and they are absolutely worth preserving because this is us. People mustn't see such rites as restrictions on their freedoms. They are the only ways of ensuring continuity of tradition and society. Unlikely that the youth of today will visit ancestral places and shrines to take the time to learn about their cultures so these custodians of our cultures are left with little choice but to bring such traditions closer to the people when these events occur. Long may they continue...

Ashaiman is Tema land. Sometimes the change in name and growing into a metropolitan separates them. Eg. Circle, legon, madina, Nima are all La lands. So Ashaiman by tradition is a Tema land that was why they were part.

Were British people inside their houses because of those two things? It was actually not cumbersome to the British citizen or person in the UK, it does not effect our day to that extent apart from some shops not being open, but it was not a rule. We were allowed outside and could turn on our lights. The UK PM performed his non British 'tradition' and many people didn't like it and are allowed to say so, too. Even the British royal family get criticised often, not every UK person is in support of the Royal family and they are not forced to be. Tradition is just what you have been doing for a long time, not every tradition is kept, in every society.

Much respect and love your content but dissagree on this one, you cant turn of the lights for 4 hours, Physically assult someone as a result of tradition, we should mordenise a few of our traditions. Bussinesses need to run, Money is lost, people need to work. It could even be an avenue to invite foreigners as a big tourism event. This is how we evolve our traditions.

Trokosi is tradition as well. Saying tradition is tradition to justify it is plain 1984 double speak. The only issue I see here is that people should stop complaining when it's only specific tribes/ethnic groups.
