      My pleasure, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Coco will probably always be in my top 5 as well. Thanks for commenting. 🧡

    I've got a soft spot for Coco, I only have the EDP though, I still think it's my favourite. I agree Chanel was a really complex character, anything but black and white.

      The EdP is lovely too. I might pick up a bottle if I see it for a good price. I remember paying around 80€ for my EdT a few years ago. It’s 100 now. Thanks for watching, Claire!🙂

    I have the EDP and it truly is a work of art. Don’t wear it often because it is a big perfume, to the point where I myself can get bowled over by it. Reminds me of the 80s and attending a lot of parties and events related my culture. It was a bold time for fashion and art of any kind, really. Lots of joyous moments and memories. Wonderful narration and video ❤

      Thank you! Coco is indeed glamour in a bottle. Some people describe it as melancholic, I don’t get that at all. It’s perfect for parties and elegant soirées.🧡

    I hope you feel proud of this tribute and memoir. I thoroughly enjoyed it ❤
    I have never experienced Coco. Passing it off as too sophisticated for me and that I wouldn’t suit it 😅

      I do!🙂 You’re right. It’s very sophisticated but also quite approachable if you ask me. Thanks for stopping by!🧡

    What an exquisite review 👏🙏
    I have Coco edp but then I tested edt at Chanel store and found it even more appealing to me. Beautiful! ❤ It has all the essence of Coco but in a more airy and "tender" way. Wish I buy it as soon as I can ❤

      Thank you!🧡☀️ I love both but the EdT has a special place in my heart. It’s exactly as you describe it. Thanks for stopping by!🙂🧡

    Gosh I love Coco EDT so much! I remember wearing this as a 16 year old who knew nothing of the world. I’m quite sure people around me thought I had no business wearing it but I don’t really care - it’s a treasure! ❤

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love that! It might not be a scent most 16-year-olds gravitate towards but I’m sure those people thought you smelt great. When I first tried Coco as a teenager I also thought it was way too mature for me.🙂🧡

    What a lovely video Luke, you should definitely do more history videos❤❤❤ Coco is amazing! I do prefer the Edp over the Edt but i love them both so much. Coco to me equals cosy and warmth, a safe space, i dont know why because i dont have a scent memory with her. Coco sometimes makes me wonder why No5 is my favourite instead of her. Chanel tends to do that to me a lot 😂

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you H.A.!🧡 I definitely will but not too frequently. They require a lot of research and preparation. Both versions are phenomenal. I hear the Parfum is also gorgeous. For me, Coco will always come before No.5. Maybe I’ll change my mind if I ever get my hands on No.5 Parfum. Thanks for stopping by!🙂🧡

    I’ve discovered your channel today and been binge watching your videos! I very much enjoy the presentation and your commentary on perfumes. I love Chanel perfumes, so many are masterpieces in my view. I have Coco Noir, Mademoiselle OG and Intense, Coco is next on my list. The older I get, the more I appreciate the art of Chanel perfumes.

      Thank you so much! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying my videos. Coco is a must have if you like the other two. Well said, Chanel scents require a certain maturity to pull off. I didn’t appreciate them when I was younger. Thanks for watching!🙂

    What a lovely tribute to the Coco fragrance! I have the edp. While it’s not my favorite Chanel, I do enjoy it in the winter. It reminds me of ‘80s decadence. If I went to the opera, I would wear Coco (but not too much).

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Coco is an opera scent indeed. I haven’t been to the opera in a hot minute but I would probably wear Coco too. It’s so elegant. Thank you for watching!🙂

    Hi Luke😊
    What a beautiful video! You’ve outdone yourself in an ocean of lovely videos!
    I love Coco. I own the edp so much I have a backup. I hope to be fortunate enough to experience the parfum one day.
    Everything about this video was perfect. I’m very interested in perfume history, and I learned a lot about the perfume I love so much.
    Thank you!

    Gorgeous video! I love your comparison of the edt to the edp, the music, the photography, and hearing about Coco’s penchant for Eastern culture.
    I’ve always enjoyed smelling Oriental fragrances, but I used to associate them with mature women, and now I am one. Silly of me to think that when Vanessa was merely a teenager when she was the face of the campaign.

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you so much! I love Orientals as well. I used to find Youth Dew mature when I was much younger.
      Vanessa was very young back then. So was Kate Moss who was the face of Opium in the early 90s. I don’t think orientals were associated with mature women back then. After all, Opium and Coco were released as “young” and edgy fragrances. One of the early adverts for Coco, featuring Inès de la Fressange read “une nouvelle femme, un nouveau parfum,” - a new woman, a new perfume. Glenn Frey’s Sexy Girl was playing in the background. Interesting, right?
      Thanks for watching!🙂🧡

    I actually did not know Coco was created in the 1980s...I thought it was about as old as Chanel No.5😮

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, it’s not. Coco passed in 1971 so she never got to smell the fragrance named after her but I’m sure she would have approved. Thanks for watching!🙂
