Why I use the Default Piercer in Ultrakill

- One of the most questionable parts of my Ultrakill gameplay has to be my weapon choice. Today I go out of my way to try to prove the haters wrong and show why you should give the default piercer a chance. #ultrakill

I cannot go back to the default after using the slab piercer, the sound and freeze frame effect from landing hits with the charged shot is too juicy.

I genuinely believe that putting others down for their preferred playstyle and arsenal in a single-player first person shooter is one the most absurd things I've seen from people in the ULTRAKILL community. I myself am more than happy to recommend all kinds of things in ULTRAKILL, "meta" or not, but I always do so with the intent of introducing someone to something they might personally consider fun, unique, or engaging.
As a rule of thumb for these kinds of games in general... Anyone who brings up an alternative to whatever you're currently using/doing at the expense of what YOU consider important for your enjoyment with the game SHOULD be ignored, without question.

you can actually bypass the cooldown of the revolvers, but only once each before having wait to reload
also in the new update, slabsman is gonna be able to reload slabs, so that'll be cool

@@blackholeguy1529 i might actually consider using default piercer. slabsman and slabshooter will both have their advantages to being used, default piercer might be useful for being able to access split coins. idk.
You know, it's actually has way more use than the other outcast weapons (markslab and drill) and also good sound effect

I enjoy the mini rail pistol too much to ever switch back. I've gotten too used to 2 coin-charged pistol shot on gutter tanks too. plus i use slab sharpshooter so i can get a quick shot-style bonus and I'm personally used to the extra downtime slab has, and i usually find myself doing other things rather than shooting headshots. And if i ever needed to, i have the marksman revolver for that, but I can understand why you'd think its better :) (even if it pains me)
personally, i don't use either pierces varients, sure they're mostly a form of reliable mid range damage, but they don't support the play-style that i like most
if anything, the sharpshooter is more fun, has more skill ceiling, plus the slab variant has instant charge time! with the right tech it can insta-kill Maurice, sentries and virtues (all high priority targets)
also i got too used to having only two revolvers that having three feels weird-
but why would i give a damn what someone else has equipped? if anything i love the fact that im out of the norm, or that you can go out the norm anyway! (and its still balanced and fun and that)
Personally my choice for whether use to slab or not is entirely dependent on how often i pull out the gun. If i pull it out every 10 seconds i will just make it slab so when i use the gimmick i get a little bit of extra punch. If i actually used every revolver equally i would probably keep them all as default. Or keep my Sharp and piercer as Slab just because i have a cool custom skins made for them
slap piercer and sharpshooter quickswitch is why I like slab, My only dillema with alternate options is the overheat options, because on one hand I feel like my saw traps are godly and on the other I can deal so much more damage to individual targets. But I've used overheat saw so much switching back may reduce my effectiveness.
once you start getting burnt out of the ultrakill arsenal, you can always switch your playstyle and try your hand at making it work

Based opinion too about the default piercer. I love both equally. Like the faster shooting speed for me is too nifty for core sniping.
i hope you dont mind me commenting twice. i think i still prefer the slab, because the slab shot is instant and the charge up still has more damage potential with piercing an enemy. when im charging something up with a rocket ride, its usually an overpump, and the coin interaction being consistently stronger on the slab kind of seals it for me. I dont use the charge up that much, i really dont prioritize trash so it doesnt matter that much for me, and i have different damage combos for heavier enemies.
i suppose the main trade off to me is having a weaker shot in the slab base shot but not needing to charge it up. id rather use coins for mannequins, and other things for single target damage. thats just my opinion though, you make good points here.

i mean it's someones opinion so you don't have to force them to use slab if they like default they like it

@@ben.juan.yeah true, you really dont need to like force someone to use this weapon like "oh your using alt marksman? lol bozo use default marksman" or "using screwdriver makes you lazy!! use electric Cannon next time!!" like this game is for style. using what you use still could make you a massdestruction robot like how this game wanted you to be. people in this community has a really hig problem with Weapons..
@@nitoaintathing indeed, and the main reason that why i resonate with this guy's video is that also use impopular thech that being:
Blue nailgun + overheat sawblade.
Sniping cannon balls with blue railcannon at the same moment that the ball hits the enemy (very efective, instakills cerberus and leaves ferrymen with low hp).
2 coinpunches + a 3rd coin and pray that the blue railcannon ultraricoshot hits a heavy enemy(i have'nt mastered true railcoining yet).
