Fun fact about the 1000-THR name of the Earthmover from Hakita They are called like that for 2 reasons: THR is short for Thor, because of the lightning they shoot, and 1000 in japanese is pronounced Sen (they are made in Japan as the signs on them suggest), making them Sen-Thr, a playword on Centaur. In the first circle of the Violence layer in the Divine Comedy, the centaurs are the creatures guarding the river of blood with bows and arrows, making sure that the sinners don't escape. This is why they first appear in 7-2, looming in the distance overseeing the river of blood.
1000 is M in Roman, M-THR, Mother, like Mother Brain, the whole thing is basically a Metroid reference too, down to the fight and the count down after defeating the core. The whole thing is plagued with references even overlapped over each other. Earthmover itself is a reference to a Have A Nice Life song about big ass machines destroying humanity.

7-3 is a literal suicide forest It’s the part of the violence layer where souls that committed violence against themselves went The trees are amalgamations of people
In case you don't know, in the original Dante's inferno violence was split into 3 sub-layers for the different types of violence: violence against god, violence against others, and violence against self. How closely the dev follows dante's inferno is pretty inconsistent, but it seems he followed quite closely for 7-3 which is the self part and all the trees are people who un-alived themselves which is why they all have humanoid shapes and why that level is so melancholy.
@@miserirkenhow would that make it more respectful though. If anything referring to a serious topic by something stupid as hell like “unalive” is kinda disrespectful
To be completely honest i think this is one of the most accurate to Dante's "Inferno" layers. 7-1 Is the labyrinth that keeps the lower part of hell separated from upper. As the sinners are the worst in hell. It's also protected by Minotaur. 7-2 is where sinners swim in boiling rivers of blood and when they get out of it they get shot by centaurs(in our case centaurs are earthmovers) 7-3 is the forest of people who unalived themselves. The lack of harpies is not that bad the trees are enough for the effect (in my opinion) 7-4 is the wasteland with fiery rain(rain is mostly covered by earthmovers massive body) the sinners there are the ones who commit violence against other (i think it's the reason centaurs are there) So to be completely honest it's really close to the book
7-3's music "Suffering Leaves Suffering Leaves" is so melancholic because the level is based around the second ring of Violence from Inferno; Violence Against Oneself. Those who squander the Lord's creation and cut their life short are made to suffer as warped and gnarled trees. It plays into the whole motif of the cruelty of Hell being unfitting for the foolish actions mortal humans made in what is ultimately a transient life, which is explored a bit in the secret level terminals.
Interesting fact, but the Guttermen’s data entry mentions their use in trench warfare, which heavily implies that the Final War was actually World War I, but had lasted for 2 centuries
there is also lore that implies that v1 was made to counter the earth movers as they where the last thing developed during the war and v1 was a prototype machine.
@@8bitbystander586 Precisely this. As everyone knows by now, the war had become a perpetual push and pull of machine to counter machine, and the Earthmovers were the final form of that, being city-destroying walking weapons platforms that were invulnerable from the outside due to their shields. Battles could no longer be fought on the ground, or the air, so the only option was to go back to zero, with a fast, agile, man-sized machine that could infiltrate the Earthmover and kill it from the inside. We learn from the terminals that the Earthmovers were the last machine that was _deployed,_ but not the last one _made._ And as we also know, V1 was a prototype that never entered production because the war ended. Since each machine was created to counter the one before, this means V1 was meant to be the next counter to the current dominant machine, that being the Earthmovers. To explain what you were doing in 7-3: Every time you grow a tree you are having it's roots trap the Earthmover. You also go through the three circles of the Violence layer in Dante's Inferno. 7-2 is the River of Blood (Also known as the Battlefield where the Earthmovers reign, thus the Centuar reference) also if you go out of bounds you get blown up instead of instantly dying, I assume that's also a reference. 7-3 is the suicide forest where hapries pick at the trees, which are suicide victims (The trees are literal bodies) 7-4 Takes place in the desert that punishes people who commit crimes against god where they go through a desert while flaming meteors hit them.
The final mystery enemy is a secret boss in 7-1. You need to put the blue skull in the area where you got the red skull from. It may be hard but like the gutter tanks, you can freeze its rocket which can also kill it
Fun fact: In ultrakill the technology for the freezeframe rocket launcher has been reused by the guttertank so alt fire on the freezeframe can temporrarely disable guttertank rockets
Don’t take gutter tanks on close range You can very easily kill them in 4 steps freeze one of their rockets, jump on, shoot a magnet into it and unfreeze. (If you ride one of their rockets and it ends up hitting them it installs them. You don’t have to be currently riding it)
btw, for the guttertanks, if you dash back and dodge the punch (you kinda have to be at the max range to trigger the punch animation), and then hit him with the blue arm while he's on the ground recovering, it counts as a parry. very useful once I figured it out
the levels in ultrakill are inspired by dantes inferno and in one of the layers is a forest called the forest of self murderers, which depicts victims of suicide as trees, every tree you saw in this video was a person
Just a tip when your breaking the guttermans shield with the knuckle blaster the explosion of the fist actually breaks it to so just go up to them and use the knuckle blaster explosion and it’ll break much easier
The final arena in a challenge run on 7-3 can get quite ridiculous, the only time in the whole game so far where the game lags, due to the sheer amount of corpses and gore scattered around😂
the trees represent the suicidal, every tree is a person who committed suicide, every branch or leaf that falls off is basically a limb getting torn off.
crazy (kinda oppinion wise) that bro said mindflayer has competition despite being able to 2x ricoshot a mannequin (want a secret? go to 7-1 and replace the red skull with the blue skull on the mannequin with the red skull by the beginning, a secret doorway will open, if you make a video showing that, i'll tell you probably like another cool secret in voilence.)
a tip for guttertanks: the same rocket the guttertanks use are also the one v1 uses aka you can use freezeframe rocket alt fire and it will also freeze guttertank's rocket if you ride it after you freeze it you can damage the guttertank with its own rocket
The challenge crystal is red, and works completely different. The Crystal of Madness in the spawner arm is a direct reference to the same thing in Dusk.
Fun fact : in the ultrakill war Ww2 never happened instead ww1 was more longer and created blood running machine all made to counter each one Gutter man < gutter tank < earthmover The earthmovers were made final parts of the war and made to harbor people because you can see buildings on the back all machine were a big part in the extinction of humans
I can't be the only one that thinks the earthmover feels like it's straight out of borderlands it feels like something you'd see out of a borderlands boss, like carnivora in borderlands 3
Why do people just ignore the terminal? It's helped me so much, Like for example the mannequins if you parry them directly it's a insta-kill and if you manage to get them in the air and punch mid-air it's also a insta-kill, and for the gutter-tank (the one that uses freezeframe tech) two things, one is that you can freeze his rockets using your own freezeframe launcher, and 2 if you dash back from his melee attack he falls over for an easy parry,
Very morbid fact about 7-3, when the enemies begin to fight each other, they realize their end is here, their trying to rob the machines of their blood by killing each other, but they won’t kill each other to avoid being turned into the trees.
By the way, in Dante's inferno, Violence is the first circle to be split into subsections. That's why each level here feels like it's own layer. Violence is split into three rings, for the different kinds of violence. Violence against thy neighbor, violence against thyself (that's why 7-3 is so emotional), and violence against nature. 7-1 represents the choice between the 3, I guess. The next layer, fraud, has a whopping 9 ditches for the different kinds of fraud, so we'll see what is made of those lol.
I have yet to see an ultrakill youtuber not die at least once from trying to dash through the earthmover lasers five times. "they move fast" you're faster

7-4: I… I uh… don’t know… uhh shit…
"I'm definitely edging to this playlist later" 20:15 Same
the trees represent the suicidal, every tree is a person who committed suicide, every branch or leaf that falls off is basically a limb getting torn off.
crazy (kinda oppinion wise) that bro said mindflayer has competition despite being able to 2x ricoshot a mannequin (want a secret? go to 7-1 and replace the red skull with the blue skull on the mannequin with the red skull by the beginning, a secret doorway will open, if you make a video showing that, i'll tell you probably like another cool secret in voilence.)
Not that kind of competition man
@@GamRpp ohhh my bad bro
"There is some action going on here". Lil bro is onto nothing at all.
a tip for guttertanks:
the same rocket the guttertanks use are also the one v1 uses
aka you can use freezeframe rocket alt fire and it will also freeze guttertank's rocket
if you ride it after you freeze it you can damage the guttertank with its own rocket
that Emerald is for 7-3 challenge when you activates marked for dead
The challenge crystal is red, and works completely different. The Crystal of Madness in the spawner arm is a direct reference to the same thing in Dusk.
Fun fact : in the ultrakill war Ww2 never happened instead ww1 was more longer and created blood running machine all made to counter each one
Gutter man < gutter tank < earthmover
The earthmovers were made final parts of the war and made to harbor people because you can see buildings on the back all machine were a big part in the extinction of humans
The trees are the people who committed sudoku-side a.k.a. rejected Gods gift of life
fun fact: in the brain of the earthmover, there's a doggo controlling the earthmover.
i learned something when i played the boss level. you can time freeze the rockets of the guttertanks.
I can't be the only one that thinks the earthmover feels like it's straight out of borderlands
it feels like something you'd see out of a borderlands boss, like carnivora in borderlands 3
7-3 is the best level in Ultrakill sofar.
Why do people just ignore the terminal? It's helped me so much, Like for example the mannequins if you parry them directly it's a insta-kill and if you manage to get them in the air and punch mid-air it's also a insta-kill, and for the gutter-tank (the one that uses freezeframe tech) two things, one is that you can freeze his rockets using your own freezeframe launcher, and 2 if you dash back from his melee attack he falls over for an easy parry,
i agree, this game has been getting melancoc recently
4:35 yes, moving earth
So I just wanna share this cause I found this out on my run in Violence.
You can parry the mines and can use the Guttertanks as a nuclear jump pad.
S tier video opener
i think this guy likes the screwdriver railcannon
If I had to guess the one enemy you're missing is Something Wicked from the secret level in the prelude
17:07 GOATED GAME!
I love to watch your videos, i discovered your channel yesterday, you make some good content!
keep up the good work dude
Very morbid fact about 7-3, when the enemies begin to fight each other, they realize their end is here, their trying to rob the machines of their blood by killing each other, but they won’t kill each other to avoid being turned into the trees.
"edging to this playlist later" 💀💀
This was truly a war without reason
By the way, in Dante's inferno, Violence is the first circle to be split into subsections. That's why each level here feels like it's own layer. Violence is split into three rings, for the different kinds of violence. Violence against thy neighbor, violence against thyself (that's why 7-3 is so emotional), and violence against nature. 7-1 represents the choice between the 3, I guess. The next layer, fraud, has a whopping 9 ditches for the different kinds of fraud, so we'll see what is made of those lol.
good job with all these subs and views, phepp!!!! you deserve it
Somehow this reminds me of the Statue of Liberty boss in god of war psp edition
the period guy is called puppet
This game's even better when you know the Divine Comedy lore.
4:15 I will assume that’s Benjamin.
I have yet to see an ultrakill youtuber not die at least once from trying to dash through the earthmover lasers five times. "they move fast" you're faster
so true
Your supposed to Saw Trap and explode the brain or smth, and then use the railgun
*IT'S A CAMMEL THING!!*
inhospitable
the word is melatonin
brooo u killed the mineflayer while it was trying to help u back by feeding the tree man! notice that laser and how it murders that puppet for u man! 6:00
Melancholic
