Just love your videos! Best Giulietta ones out there. Especially for the non pro diy amateur mechanic watcher...like me. .. Help a lot. Thx for all of them.keep up the great work...my next project is removing the shifter n putting a short shifter in...no real plan on how to get the original one out...dont wanna remove the hoses or battery...but guess no way around it...either battery or the hoses has to cone out to reach it....all the best
Thanks you very much for the very helpful video. I had the same problem in my Giulietta. But solenoid has started working without opening it. In addition, I sprayed WD-40 just outside in the gap between those moving parts. Works perfectly now
Hey Tony hit the petrol station on Monday night. Glad to find a diesel station with diesel! Went to open it and for the first time had this issue for first time where couldn't open fuel cap! Looking forward to trying. Does look fiddly but will give it a go soon.
I managed to get to the actuator. Somehow it works so far. I hope I've placed this metal piece/bracket correctly. Unfortunately some of the plastic is damaged, as it is nearly impossible to open it without damaging. But as long as it works it's the better solution compared to replacing the whole part.

Good evening! First of all, thank you for the videos, they are a great help! Unfortunately, while doing this, I accidentally disconnected the fuel breather hose, and now I’m not sure if I reconnected it properly. Do you think you could help me please? This tube conects somewhere else? Thank you in advance
Hi. It’s not a problem. It’s only a drain pipe and simply hangs down behind the wheel arch lining. There are some small clips that hold it in place but it doesn’t impact it if it’s not clipped in. All the best 👍
It’s the drain hose for any spillages. It simply runs down the back of the wheel arch liner. I have a video on the channel for cleaning the rear wheel arch and I show how it connects in that video. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
Hi. Pretty much yes. There are a few clips to hold it in place which you can see in this video if you wanted to get it back properly. Hope it helps. All the best 👍 m.th-cam.com/video/xdXUkt4zyyM/w-d-xo.html
@@vialettotony It is good that there are people like you so that the rest of us can benefit. My Giulietta is 4 years old and luckily no problems so far.
Friend, help me with something. I removed the entire lid with this tube out but I don't know if I put it in place after assembling. Would this affect anything? What is this tube for?
Hello mate lovely videos , very helpful could you explain or create short video on removing the painted panel of fuel door to the hinge part ? 🙏🙏🙏🙏😀👍🏾 please 😞
Hi Saro. That’s an interesting one. I’ll have a look and see what I can do. Many videos to make along the way with a few priority ones. I’ll add this to the list. Thanks for watching and subscribing if you have. Really appreciate it. All the best. 👍
My front door won’t open on my giulietta, are you planning to make a video to remove the doorpanel or something like that? Maybe this will help me finding te problem
Hi I've not done it personally, but i believe it simply leads from the motor in to the trunk. If you tie a piece of scrap cable or something to the existing one, then as you pull it through you will create yourself a draw wire to pull the new one through with. Hope that helps. All the best. 👍
Funny that the same failure exists also on the non-electrical fuel door mechanism. I also had to fix it , but when not-electrical its only a spring replacement.
Yeah absolutely. It was one of those things that i was able to fix for zero cost, but then will need to consider fixing the door in due course. All the best.
per la benzina/gasolio dovrebbe esserlo. però non ho familiarità con il rifornimento di gpl. se è lo stesso lembo, immagino che lo sia. tutto il meglio 👍
I feel your pain. Most of the time you can still get it open with a few knocks right to the catch area. Failing that, (and without forcing it) you could remove the rear wheel arch liner and reach up to the area from inside. Good luck with it. All the best 👍

Just spraying wd-40 in the hole fixes it? I saw another video ok that, would be awesome if it works.
I was literally about to order a new striker solenoid but having just watched this I’m definitely going to give it a go first, thanks Tony
Hi Jon. Definitely worth a shot for sure. Watch out for the little clip but when you take it apart.
Good luck and all the best. Thanks for watching. 👍

Brilliant stuff Tony best on the web for the Guilietta, will you do one on the B Pillars?
Hey Tony, how do I reattach the back end of the thin fuel drain hose to the car? Mine pulled out when I pulled the housing out.

Does you experienced the muktiair engine shutting down by itself due to the faulty fuel flaper solenoid?
Hi. As mine is a diesel, I’ve not had that issue No. sorry I can’t help on that. All the best 👍
How do you remove the emergency line which goes into the trunk? I need to replace the complete motor with cables and emergency line.
