You need to make sure your finger is dry when you put them in. Otherwise, they just stick to your finger.
I also pull them down until they wrinkle up a bit against my lower lid. It breaks the suction, too, & makes them easier to get out.

You put it on you finger then grab your top lashes and pull your bottom down. You slowly put it in your eye looking straight at it and make sure it doesn't touch your lashes or it won't go in. Once it's in look side to side while still holding your lashes then slowly release your lashes! I have prescription contacts so trust me.
To take out pull down your bottom lashes and with two fingers GENTLY squeeze your contact out. If you aren't gentle your contact will rip. Hope that helps!!

You can do it the way she does it too. Pull bottom down and look up. I just got them and my optician taught me both ways
they're multiple ways of putting contacts in. Yours is not the only one. I actually find way harder to put them in if I'm pulling my top and bottom lids down at the same time and then also looking directly at the contact. I only pull my bottom lid down, look in the top right corner, and place the contact on the cornea. Then I just gently close my eyes and move my eyes from side to side. To take them out, again, I look in the top right corner and I drag the contact off the iris and on the cornea and then I just take it out using my fingers

I have tried for weeks to do it the right way. Only when i tried with an applicator and pulling the bottom eye lid and looking up was i finally successful. It burned a little so i took it out. Problem was is i put the contact in the correct way. Shape of a bowl. That doesn't work with me apparently the only way for me to wear color contacts comfortably is to wear them inside out.
i'm glad i'm not the only one who absolutely struggles putting in contacts. its the most difficult thing for me. ugh.

Pull the outter corner of your eye out, then you can use your other hand to pull the upper lid up, over and down. It should pop out in a similar way to how she did it here. And no eyeball touching!

So I'm an optometric technician and I've been in Optometry for five years now. I teach patients how to put contacts on and off all the time. The tool she is using is called a plunger. It's NOT meant to be used on soft contacts, only on hard contacts. If you're interested in contacts and how to use them please please seek out your optometrist! The staff will happily help you to learn the proper and safe way to handle and apply your contacts. Also please make sure the contacts you get are actually FDA approved. Many companies do not store or seal or use the proper solutions with their packaging. I love wearing colored contacts and it's a great way to feel fashionable but do it in a safe and healthy way! If anyone has questions I'm happy to answer.
GIRL THOSE CONTACTS ARE POPPIN. Btw a tip on how to put them on easily with your finger is to make sure your finger isn't wet from the contact solution! Has to be 100% dry trust me I had the same exact issue lol then I figured that the contact always gets stuck to my finger because of the solution! And my New Year resolution is honestly just to be content with my life. :)

Wait a second. I have some people telling me that my finger needs to be wet, but there are some people saying it needs to be dry. Both ways my contacts stick to the tip of my finger. Do you have any advice, I just got them last week.

maskw03 try to get your finger as dry as possible and then place the contact in your eye. One way to do this is to take the contact out of its package by placing it in the palm of your hand and then placing it on your finger so that there’s less contact solution on your finger since it’ll be on the palm instead.
Yea true yesterday i went to get lenses and in the hospital it would stuck in my hands and i was so frustrated then i thought okay let me try with dry hands and guess what after 10 min i could get it and today was my second day and trust me this works and i did it in 15 min in one eye it's the first time so it takes time

Thank you for posting your struggle!!! I have SO much trouble getting my contacts in. Contact lenses for astigmatism are larger than your typical non-astigmatism lenses, so it's just that much more difficult. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sucks at this lol definitely gonna try these lil applicators, thank you for posting this!

Horrible anti-sanitary way of putting contacts on. She complains that it burns as well when it shouldn't burn. Why would a person even wear contacts if you have no idea how to put them on and don't know what hygiene is? I feel bad for her tbh

I really struggled putting my contacts in (as I've started to use them) But I wanted to tell you how I do it. So if I want to put my left contact in, I'm standing (in front of the mirror) sideways so I see only the "white" part of my LEFT eye. (You should be near the mirror with your RIGHT eye) Then you have the contact on the "white" part and to get it on the Iris you have to look left. (Left eye=look left;Right eye=look right). And with a bit of practise you can do it even quicker!

Pineapples are cool i thought that too...strangely it helped me a lot and i was able to wear colored contacts for the first time and even got to wear them for halloween.
I've worn contacts everyday for seven years. I can put them in and take them out in two seconds without a mirror. I'm not trying to be mean, but it's funny when I see people struggle with their contacts haha.

1. Silicone applicators are for those who cant put in contacts easily.
2. The applicator is more sanitary than a finger.
3. They are just colored contacts. Anyone can get them in a store not just from eye doctors being prescribed.

Karim Karim when looking in the mirror, look at your reflections of you eyes instead of looking directly at the contact lens because that usually makes you more prone to blinking when putting them in

the reason why it sticks to your finger is cuz your finger is wet! You need to put the lens on a dry finger but the lens itself its moist with a drop or two of solution
I do it with dry fingers and still have an issue. I'm new to contacts like two days in.
Simran N'golet it gets so easy! even with long nails. to take them out with long nails you just roll the contact out of your eye. you don't even even have to pinch them. dunno if you have long nails or need this info, but i shared just in case. :)

I recommend you put in your contacts with your eyes facing straight forward, it doesn't fall out. Another thing why it might be falling out is if they are flipped inside out. If you want to make sure they are not, check the edges, if it's a complete bowl shape and not bending on the edges it's good to put in, if it's still a bowl shape but curls on the edges that means your putting it in wrong. And I think I know why it burned too, 1. Either you didn't wash your hands before,2. The contacts are not washed or cleaned. 3. Your contacts are dried out. I hope you might have found this comment useful or to anyone who is reading it found it useful if they are having these problems..

karina- you have to hold your bottom lashes too, your also putting them in a wrong angle, try not to stress just breathe, relax and just remember they are not made to hurt you

I remember when I was younger that if I washed my hands and dried it properly I could directly touch my eye, now I can't, I wear glasses and want to try non percriptant and perscriptant contact lenses, but I'm too scared and I don't trust myself to take care of one properly, that's why if I do wear them, I'll try with perscriptant daily ones you throw away after a use, I don't want some kind of eye disease

Thanks Karina for this video. I didn't know how to apply eye contacts. Now I can buy the applicator and buy some Smokey grey eye contacts. By the way they look amazing on you. Hope they look good on me too.

here is a tip from a person who wears contacts: when your putting your contacts in look straight, not up. the contact goes on to the colored part if your eye.
OMG thanks for showing the alternative method of removing a contact. I've been trying to remove one for ages. Tried the 2nd method you showed (pressure n squeeze) & it popped out. Thanks

I've been using contacts for years since my eye sight is so bad so GIRL I be popping them in and out like it ain't nothing 😂 the real struggle though.. is with acrylics haha
