When you see someone or something every day, you really don't notice change as it's happening. I took a look back at your #459 and was blown away by the change in your Property. You really are a busy guy Mike. Keep at it!
Your doing a great job Mike!!! The one thing I got to tell you I am a old electrician if it was me I would run a conduits under the concrete pad from the panel to one side if the building and to where the kitchen will be!! This way you don’t have to run over head might save you time and money something to think about. Keep up the good work!!! Love your show!!!!
I had a pool built in 89 in Minnesota. It was a vinyl lined pool. it took them 5 days from start to complete finish. They were held up a couple of days for me to complete the electrical and get it inspected. or it would have been 3 days. It was in my back yard in a VERY tight situation. They dug it with a backhoe tractor with an extending boom.
Great to see it coming together - the water tank - the inside floor - the whole nine yards[no pun there]. The culmination of all your work is in view. Can't wait! Be safe and have a grand day.
There have been as many important Launches around here since the shipyard closed. The rest of New Building, the Pool, perhaps a pool house,, and of of course, Hanna and Tylers' wedding. Though I expect Hanna is already well over the Moon. Seeing Melissa and Hanna glowing with Unbridled Happiness seems a strong motivator. Some people plant roses for summer beauty. Mike, wise man he is, is giving the Morgan beauties ( and friends ) a pool. I do not remember if Hunter swims,, but splashing in a pool is fun anyway. Then there are all the newer Morgans coming down the line. I can see it as center of family, and Happiness. That is a very Morgan thing. Morgan Joy reaches for untold miles. .I feel it in Boston. God bless you all.
Phil here from NE Indiana. Lots of rain here. The building is coming along great. I am very interested in watching how the heated concrete floor is done. Another great video from the Morgans.
Mike. When I built my shop. I had a lot of fill brought in and stone on top. I rented a vibrating roller that you drive. Hits the floor every day for about 2 weeks before concrete. Never had a crack after 22 years so far.
Swimming pool installer many years ago. Just as you want water to run away from all 4 sides of the building, you will want water to run away from all 4 sides of the pool. This will require a swale between the building and pool that either has a compound slope peaking mid pool length or you will have to put in a drain in the low point of the swale. I'd also recommend a hose bib at the filter pad. At a minimum, a hose bib within easy reach of the pool to replace evaporative losses. Just some more to think about that you had probably already considered.
VERY GOOD JOB MELISSA WITH THE STAINING & I REALLY LIKE TO WATCH MIKE WORK ON THE NEW BUILDING--CAN ' T WAIT TILL JUNE FOR THE POOL ''' ---I GIVE YOU THUMBS- UP FOR THE HUNT MAN===MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE MORGAN FAMILY --WE HAVE A NEW FAST FOOD REST. Hey guys, great Chanel. Here in Australia, when we build sheds and we build pretty big ones, we put clear Lazer Light roof sheets, every 10 sheets or so, to naturally light up the shed. Works great. Keep up the great work.
I don't usually comment. You really do a good job. The places that build those concrete tanks can put a 6 inch coupler in the concrete. You put a 6 inch pipe in tank and a 6 inch on top of tank and put a pitless adapter in and its just like a well. Put a submersible pump in it .You have no noise of a jet pump and more water. You would be much happier .I enjoy your videos
Good morning Mike and Melissa and”THE SUPERVISOR” . Good to see everyone is doing well !! Glad you have made your decision about the Cistern you are going to build. That will be awesome and last forever. Good to hear the pool will be done in June. It’s looking great and starting to pop around there with all you ALL have going on. Stay safe and keep having fun. Anyone find the humor in the fact Mike drives to town to walk when he has such a beautiful property and trails to walk on? Most of us drive to the park and woods to walk because we live in concrete cities. I just found it a bit ironic is all....no judgements here! 😀 Although I can see why walking around town is also appealing...it’s really a quaint town. Love this channel and so fun watching how the Morgan’s continue to transform their beautiful home and property.
Lot of people say the same thing lol, Probably does seem strange. Would love to walk the trails here but can really only do that during daylight hours, lots of slip, trip and fall in the woods at night. I just don't have the time when it's light out to walk the trails
So much to do! I wondered what Melissa was staining last night, now I know, looks good. Mike, I figure you won't always have a need for 2 tractors, but having that bx is super handy, and boy does it do good work! The work and effort you put into your projects, is above and beyond what most would attempt, and you are so smart, knowing exactly what to do. I absolutely love this channel, my favorite of all! Many thanks Mike for providing so many videos. Love you guys!👍🚜🥰
Great vids mike and melissa. A pleasure to watch and see a couple have a good marriage. Not the case for so many nowadays. If people can figure out how to get a long. You can accomplish alot together. And still have fun
I have taken care of many commercial pools and the best thing you can do is get a pool cover for anytime you're not using it. It retains the heat at night and will help warm it up during the day. The other thing is to not worry too much about all the chemicals, we just maintained the chlorine level and never, and I mean never, had to do any other maintenance of anything else. The pool company's will always tell you that you need to do this and that, but it's just so you will buy additional, expensive items. A chlorine tester and chlorine is all you need, really. Thumbs up !
Mike & Melissa - Great video you two. Things continue to move forward. Good news about the pool. To add to RAKRail's comment about eating elephants, Some of it tastes great, and some not so much, but if you keep eating at some point the elephant is gone. Blessings to you both and to your family. Hi to Hunter, Hannah, and Eva.
If you are still looking for a large tank, there is a surplus outfit in Fleetwood pa Glickman is the name they have 2 6900 gal. Fiberglass for 2425 . You all do a great job thanks

OMG We had The Strand in Lowell, Ma. When I was a kid we would take the bus, once a month to catch a Saturday matinee. Nice you still have one. God Bless You. Hope You Have a Better Day
Lenny Hall I am still living in Burlington ,down the street from Lowell we had a Strand in Woburn we used. Long gone from a fire. Still live in Burlington. Where did you get the bus? Mike Morgan are you planning to have fibers added to the concrete? looking forward to see the finished job for the wedding. Thanks for bringing us along.
WOW! A Strand. As a kid my dad would give us .25 cents take us to the strand and watch the Saturday matinee and have plenty of money to buy goodies with. The memories that picture brought back to this old Texas boy. Enjoy your videos. Have a great day.
It was good to relax and watch your video this morning. We had a EF 4 tornado rip through our county and city around 12 am Friday morning. It was 3 miles from my house. Thank god it missed us but it destroyed homes and our high school that I drive for. Looking forward to the progress and the swimming pool. Thanks for sharing.
@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans Not at this time. Every building on campus was heavily damaged. The whole county is out of school tomorrow. Not sure for the rest of the week. We are on spring break week after next. Theirs no way the high school can be used the rest of this school year. I forgot a elementary school nearby was damaged as well.
The building is really coming along well and looks great. Keep a straight and steady path going forward and it will be done in plenty of time for Hannah's big day. Love you guys and your family and fur babies. Have a great spring and summer.
Mike I've got a friend who bought a plate compactor at harbor freight to redo his horse stalls and he put a foot 411 limestone with dust down watered it good and ran the plate tamp on it and it worked great!, it can only do one stall at a time and that's why he bought one!, he loves it!. Yeterday was great!, today I'm waiting on the rain to stop!, lolo!. Morgans have a day!.
Sorry for the second comment but it’s COOL how real your build project is, 21 minute video compared to those reality shows that has a couple hundred people behind the scenes building an entire house...as always... have a blessed day
I believe the woodpeckers of which you've described are the Pilated Woodpecker. It's the largest bird in North America and are truly beautiful in flight.
I put in new sewer lines in my childhood home last year. I backfilled with pea gravel with a little fine sand mixed in (almost a class II base). I was very supprised how much is compacted when hit with a jumping jack! And I also found out that a jumping jack will compact 6"-12" lifts but a plate compactor really only handles 2"-3" lifts well. You might want to rent a jumping jack for just a day and hit all the trenches once.
Very nice camera footage! Really enjoyed the video. Last night when Mike said "The sap is still running in New York" it brought out a bunch of funny images to mind! Not related to maple.trees!!!
Gotta love the small towns of Pennsylvania. Interesting how much they look alike across the state. I spend a lot of time in Hamburg, Mahanoy City, Ringtown, etc., on the Eastern side of the state, and things look near identical to Western, Pa.
Can’t wait to see some vids of you on the Concept 2 rower. You’re going to love/hate the machine but in time it will do wonders for the back pain you get on occasion. Watch some TH-cam videos for proper form before getting started. Keep up the great work!
Harbor freight plate compactor is good, Have had mine since 2006 used it inside my pole building before the concrete work was done. concrete guy did not believe the compactness of the stone. I wet the stone and dirt down belween lifts and did 3 inches at a time. could have used the stone as the floor it was so tight. Always turn off the gas and run carb dry.
@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans I have the Northern Tool one, and it works great....on flat ground. If you're on any slope at all, it will haul "a" downhill, but go nowhere uphill. I've done large flagstone patio areas, the drive to our cabin, etc... with it, but last fall had to bed in 70' of buried 24" culvert, plus the road over the top of it....and it was almost useless. A jumping jack would have been a much better option, especially for compacting around the culvert and up to the culvert inlet wing wall I formed and poured. Very expensive, though.
Enjoy the weather. We are forecast for a snow/rain mix today and tonight along with a high wind warning. 50-60mph. I just hope all the trees remain standing and the power stays on. Mostly pine and doug fir trees, 60-100' tall
Mike and Melisa the two of you are making awesome progress and it is starting to take shape. One day at a time and keep moving forward each and every day and by July you will be there.
You guys must have the most sweat equity possible you never seem to rest. Thanks for sharing your video with us. Hey Hunter I saw you sneaking around out there to supervise. Ed
When you're standing by a drafty window and you feel the cold with the hair standing up on you arms it is your body heat leaving your body. That's why your arm hairs feel weird....
Pouring crazy down here in SE PA a real soaker...was wondering if you were doing your morning walks I do a lot of walking too It was quick didn't know hunter could move that quick but he can be seen behind Melissa way back when you were talking about where the pool is going....he had his bathing suit I noticed where the pool is going will be a shady spot.... consideration for leaves ??
Mike I remember in your earlier videos you tried the early morning excersize routine. Don't know how you can keep up the schedule you have. Melissa's third job besides being a great mom and wife should be a dental hygenist. She has such an enlightening smile and would make any dental practice a successful one!
The last thing you need is advise from me...yet here we are :). As a life-long, north-east pool owner, make sure you get as much sun as possible for as long as possible. If you're planning a heat pump, location is more flexible. Enjoy!
Yes, it will be heated and good advice, Where its going to go gets sun in morning and late day is shaded, not perfect but with all the trees, location and building options are limited
I agree with Ed. I would be concerned about the shadow from the building. being from Long Island I heat the pool and also put a solar cover on the pool when not used or overnight to keep water warm. Many night I would see steam coming off the pool. Also put a color LED light good luck.
Dadburned inadvertent click! ... in short sleeves yesterday. Dinner Friday night and lunch after the game outside at restaurants. Now that’s the weather we moved to the SE to find! Your building project continues apace. Melissa did 224’ of bam board stain, Mike leveled up a bunch of half-filled trenches and moved excess fill outside where you’ll need it. Amazing what those touches do to make progress show! You mentioned the other day that the cistern excavation will provide fill to bring the east side up to grade - it will be interesting to see how you coordinate that, navigating machines around the cistern hole, fill pile, and building. There will be a lot of fill if you do a 6,000-gal tank like you mentioned - that’s about 30 cubic yards of hole volume not counting what you put back over it. I’ll be really interested to see you bring the pad inside to grade with the rotating laser - that will be a new one for me. Calling the schedule aggressive may be an understatement! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Good morning everyone. 35º in Kansas City now. I’ve been mowing and Elizabeth has been picking up sticks to put in the fire pit. Spring clean up time. Stay safe, be humble & kind and have a day.
major storms ripped through Alabama last Thursday - we went down to help out one of our churches in Mt. Iva - south of Brent. The Bobcat with the grapple made a big difference fast - we just need your videography skills...
We will probably be sending folks from our Atlanta area to Alabama to help with cleanup. While we are usually considered common labor with chainsaws and the like, the key is offering help to our fellowmen in their time of need! We also send a lot of our youth which is a faith base building character time in their life!
Mike, while I am not familiar with the type of construction you did I am puzzled as to why you didn't pour a floor and foundation first, that way the structure would have been above the dirt and probably less likely to severely settle. That would have required doing the plumbing and electric first but that would not have been hard at the time as long as everything was well planned out.
Hey Mike, really nice building & beautiful property. Did you consider constructing your blg on a full foundation with 2x4's or 2x6 walls. It would be more expensive, a little easier to insulate & a little better in keeping the little critters out..IMHO..You will love the radiant floor heat, economical & comfortable heating. You both work very hard on your videos. Thank You Ted
As usual another great video. I always enjoy watching. I am getting caught on the videos now because I did not get to watch them for a while I had a heart attack and was in the hospital.
As in inside pole barn..w the foam board ..I put it also around the upright 6" x 6" to avoid cement to have direct contact w the green upright post..( The Mason I used recommended it so if concrete was to raise or settle it is less likely to move post in either direction..)
With the ‘workaholic’ pace that you all have, I believe that you will be able to get the projects done by the time of the wedding. Mike, I don’t know if you saw my previous comment, pertaining to the dead Red Pines. Check for a gas line under the pines. If there is a leak, it will kill the trees above.
I have to remember what bug it was. But our state planted red pine stands from the 60s. Got wiped out about 12 yrs ago. They leveled them. And of course the state didn't put it out to bid for 2 yrs. So it pretty much got chewed up into mulch. By the guys who logged. It. Ask stumpjumper he was up for visit home when it all went down. Then few year ago chipsy moth devestated our grade oak stands.

A jumping jack would have been a much better option, especially for compacting around the culvert and up to the culvert inlet wing wall I formed and poured. Very expensive, though.
@@python3574, Hard to beat a ''Jumping Jack'' for compaction.
Enjoying the progress. It's going to be so nice and enjoyable.
Ed
YOUR OPINION IS WHAT COUNTS MIKE, AS I DON'T EVER RECALL YOUR OPINION BEING WRONG! Good planning! PIE TOWN LARRY
Recommend putting stereo foam on floor heat takes path of least resistance, you’ll save in long run
Heat moves toward cold...always...styrofoam cuts it off.
When you're standing by a drafty window and you feel the cold with the hair standing up on you arms it is your body heat leaving your body. That's why your arm hairs feel weird....
Keep up the good work. Have a productive day.
Pouring crazy down here in SE PA a real soaker...was wondering if you were doing your morning walks I do a lot of walking too
It was quick didn't know hunter could move that quick but he can be seen behind Melissa way back when you were talking about where the pool is going....he had his bathing suit
I noticed where the pool is going will be a shady spot.... consideration for leaves ??
Raining here as well
Good morning Hunter ;-) and family ;-)
Mike I remember in your earlier videos you tried the early morning excersize routine. Don't know how you can keep up the schedule you have. Melissa's third job besides being a great mom and wife should be a dental hygenist. She has such an enlightening smile and would make any dental practice a successful one!
Enjoying the comments Have a nice Sunday everyone and I see we are all looking forward to all this future Morgan content
Looks like a nice town.
Morgans, you know it's going to be a great video when it starts off like this one did. Thank you! The Lesick0's (Lesick0utdoor)
Sounds like the woodpeckers were putting the hammer down. Sure sign of Spring!
Love the small towns.
Y’all make a great team!
Love the hair millisa. Great video Mike
Great video Mike and Melissa 🇺🇲
I've said it before, but I would love to have topsoil like that down here in Florida. Hard to grow grass in sand.
Looking good guys boy a lot of work but in the end it will sure be worth it
Interesting view of your walk through town ..of the local area..morning walks are the best.
If a brick morning even makes it thst much Nicer
Good morning from the screened porch in NC. Walked the cart path in jeans and t-shirt this morning. Watched granddaughter play soccer

... in short sleeves yesterday.
Good Morning Phil!
major storms ripped through Alabama last Thursday - we went down to help out one of our churches in Mt.
@@TheJvonc that is truly work of compassion for others. Some people profess their religion, but you live your faith! Thanks for all you do.
Good morning again Mike and Melissa hope you having a great day God Bless from Joel in Pilot Knob, Mo
Pole barns are built this way
Hey Mike, really nice building & beautiful property.
I can see you all Relaxing by the "POOL BARN" Great Job guys, Your getting there! 😎👍
Relaxing? Whats that? If they do that, they don't show it on TH-cam.
@@davidmorse8432 maybe some log rolling competition in the pool.
@@realairplane261 As long as there is a motor involved somehow.
@@davidmorse8432 got that right. Motorized log rolling, staring Motor Mike as MM walks around the pool in her new swim suit holding the score card. 😀
As usual another great video. I always enjoy watching. I am getting caught on the videos now because I did not get to watch them for a while I had a heart attack and was in the hospital.
Good morning Morgan family ☕️ happy Sunday... have a blessed day
As in inside pole barn..w the foam board ..I put it also around the upright 6" x 6" to avoid cement to have direct contact w the green upright post..( The Mason I used recommended it so if concrete was to raise or settle it is less likely to move post in either direction..)
Vapor Barrier will go between concrete and posts
With the ‘workaholic’ pace that you all have, I believe that you will be able to get the projects done by the time of the wedding.
Mike, I don’t know if you saw my previous comment, pertaining to the dead Red Pines. Check for a gas line under the pines. If there is a leak, it will kill the trees above.
I have heard thats possible but no gas lines here
I have to remember what bug it was.
