I just realized that I forgot the Christmas tree in the Holiday Main Street build. 🫢 Well, I guess it doesn’t really change anything in my selections. 😉
I love the main street set. It would be cool of they added more buildings to it in the future. I love the size of the stores. They ware much easier to keep displayed.
Yeah, clone-like right? Since I missed out on a few of the Creator Expert’s I figured I can still pursue a complete collection of Icons Winter Village.
I wish they had made the Elf Clubhouse with regular people instead of elves. It is a nice looking house in general, but I"m not into the fantasy elements.
The fantasy subset of the Winter Village collection now has 3 items, this new set, the Gingerbread Man set and Santa's Workshop, the last two of which happen to be among my most beloved Lego sets of all time. This new set is not quite as quirky and definitely not as charming. The good thing about it is that it is the alter-ego of the Winter Village Post Office set which came out about 20 years ago, where people send their letters to Santa. Oops, I haven't considered the Elf Clubhouse, which, although I have (I have the lot) doesn't impress me much at all.
@@markusvillarreal8271 I believe it was 2 parts you have to buy. The battery pack and a train part. Maybe the lights were separate too? Plus you have to buy train tracks. I think it really adds to the playability of the set. The app is really fun. It was worth purchasing the additional parts to me. I don’t regret it.
I agree about the Elf Clubhouse. While it is definitely the most creative, I personally do not consider it as part of the village set since it technically wouldn't be part of a town the same way as the other three sets. Also, I never picked it up so there is that. When I got the Main Street set (also my #1), I also went ahead and motorized the trolley . It was worth it, I have a track going around all of the village sets and the trolley zips around them. Also, the Lego PoweredUp app has a separate mode just for the trolley that plays Christmas music, it's really cool. I will definitely be picking up the Lodge at some point.
It took a lot of thought to rank these. I also had to re-watch @brickafide ‘s ranking video to have another perspective. It’s reassuring that your thoughts are in alignment with my choices. Thanks for sharing!
Last years set was probably my least favorite winter village set … it doesn’t feel like it belongs in the line way to slim and blocky looks like a beefed up city house :) my favorite set has to be the 2012 cottage always wanted this set as a kid but never got it. Definitely like this years set a lot !
I find 3rd place for Santa’s visit to be a bit of a wild stance. I think 2nd is far more fair. It’s the only one to include Santa, it has plenty of space for figures that can be easily accessed, it’s floor plan is unlike any other Lego house I’ve seen with the angle it’s constructed at, and the chimney features perfect. Honestly I think I’d list Main Street last because I think it’s buildings are far too shallow and the trams really the focus. I think a proper Main Street wouldn’t fit in the winter village themes budget. I’d go Main Street < elf clubhouse ≤ alpine lodge < Santa’s visit
Last year set is a big letdown for me. So weak, slim, with absolutely no fantasy. My least favorite of the 5 last years. Elf house was so creative and with a strong Christmas vibe. Love it a lot. So as usual, taste are different for each person.
Thanks for sharing and good point on the fantasy perspective! Come to think of it, that is the reason I didn’t get the Gingerbread house. (Sorry Tiago) Good to hear another point of view!
The gingerbread house is a must have in my opinion. It’s just so sweet. Can’t go really wrong with any of these sets really. And I bought the train track set to put the tram/trolley on some much needed tracks, just for realism.

Agreed. Adding more buildings sounds great
The box art continuity is wild!

Great list. The top 3 really make for an incredible village just by themselves. :)
We personally love last years set.Great colours, and a tram we put on rails around the display.havnt got the elf set,but would like it.

You have got to add the power functions to the Main Street trolley. It’s so much fun controlling it through the app!
Is it worth buying it do they sell the parts together or separate

I’d go
Main Street < elf clubhouse ≤ alpine lodge < Santa’s visit
yes, i really like how santa's visit house looks complete and cozy

I honestly dislike the fantasy oriented sets. Plenty of Lego themes already fulfill that
Thanks.
