  • Hi guys, with this video I conclude the construction of the vertical axis generator, later (after checking the alternator's reliability) I will post new videos to complete the project...     Chulo, lastima no tengo tiempo para hacer uno. Tengo un generador horizontal, pero no es muy adecuado instalarlo donde uno no tiene casa propia. El vertical lo veo menos peligroso que el horizontal, ya que genera muchas más revoluciones qué un vertical. Y cualquier patojo travieso puede meter mano a las elices y puede suceder accidentes.

    Дуже багато металу в конструкції ротора. Обертання ротора має створювати вихор та узгоджуватися з силою Коріоліса. Дуже цікаве рішення але важкий ротор.

    geniale il freno centrifugo ! mi ero semptre chiesto come si potesse limitare i troppi giri in caso di vento forte! ed ecco che mi hai dato la soluzione! il problema ora non ho capito che tipo di generatore hai usato e dove si può reperire!

      Ciao, ti ringrazio... L'alternatore per esigenze personali l'ho autocostruito e dato che è un prototipo, prima di pubblicare un nuovo video specifico voglio collaudarlo, cosi posso dare dati precisi di potenza erogata, durata nel tempo, ecc... Comunque se ti può interessare, ci sono anche siti dove vendono gruppi alternatori di qualità... L'unico inconveniente è il prezzo!

    Ciao... bellissimo...mi piacerebbe farlo anche a me... quì dove abito io c'è tanta ventilazione e un progetto così sarebbe l'ideale...ti faccio i miei complimenti 👏👏👏 visto l'assurdo costo della corrente elettrica oggi...ti voglio chiedere una cosa... quanto riesce a sviluppare secondo te in kilowatt?..

      Ciao, per ora devo basarmi solo su calcoli, perchè ho bisogno di tempo per avere tutti i parametri, tra l'altro tra un pò di tempo farò vedere anche la realizzazione dell'alternatore che per ora è in fase di collaudo!
      Comunque ritornando alla potenza sviluppata, si aggira introno a 2,5 kw con venti modesti (ho scritto cosi perchè ci sono certi generatori che danno 2kw a 150 km orari...)

      Hi, I did various tests before publishing the video... I used all those profiles because I had to find a compromise between wind and driving torque, in this way I sacrificed the rotation speed, but I significantly increased the force!

      Hola, el generador está sujeto a una patente, por lo que no puedo darte las medidas... En cualquier caso, las medidas sirven de poco si no sabes primero las características del viento que tienes!
      Sin embargo tenéis todos los vídeos que subí a TH-cam, para poder copiar el aerogenerador.
      ¡Todo lo que necesitas hacer es calcular el área de superficie del perfil aerodinámico en función de la constante de viento que tienes y dimensionarlo para la potencia que deseas tener!

    Secondo me il freno centrifugo genera una brusca forza frenante che rapidamente fara distruggere questa turbina. Hai fatto dei calcoli della velocità che deve consentire in funzione delle caratteristiche del generatore oppure lo hai messo perché ci va?

      Ciao, in realtà sono ormai due anni che stà girando senza aver subito nessun danno, neppure con venti oltre i 130 km/h... Il freno non l'ho progettato tanto per far vedere un video, ma perchè ho fatto dei calcoli adeguati a qualunque imprevisto. Il metodo che ho utilizzato lavora in modo dolce e fluido, non porta al dannosissimo bloccaggio del rotore, ha il solo scopo di tenerlo entro il range per cui l'ho progettato.

      Ciao, questo modello di eolico si può definire ibrido, perchè utilizza delle alette sui tubi per facilitare l'auto avvio del rotore, quelle verticali sono le ali portanti, in pratica sono loro che ricevono tutta la forza del vento e la trasmettono all'albero. Ho visto che mi chiedi anche delle misure, ma quelle non posso dartele, perchè è un modello vincolato da brevetto... In ogni caso non avrebbero molto valore, perchè a parte il vincolo del profilo alare naca, per il resto ci si può sbizzarrire a piacimento e lo si può ottimizare in base alle proprie esigenze!

    Convert that velocity into POWER instead of breaking it to friction / heat. Would it be better to make a generator break and capture it instead? You could still use the mechanism that converts the centrifugal force to bring a stator closer to a permanent magnet array. This will break softly without physical wear and tear.

      Hello, actually the energy production can start even at very low speed, if a multiplication ratio is used... In my case I used a 1-3 ratio so with 30 RPM I have 90 revolutions on the current alternator. Then obviously it depends on the torque that the turbine delivers and on the wind constant.

      @@newtech5042 first; a vertical generator by its nature does not develop more than 60 rpm, the losses in the gearbox are 40-50%, it doesn’t matter what you turn, it matters what you turn, all generators that demonstrate start working after 500 rpm, so the output is zero.

But it manages to have a high torque, the losses are there, the calculations show it, however it manages to work reasonably well in the area where I live, working with storage batteries and combined with photovoltaic panels for moments when there is little wind. it is possible to have a constant electrical production. Then the important thing in my opinion is that you must never lose the desire to experiment... Sooner or later something good comes out!

    *What for?!? All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity,* because hardly any wind blows close to the ground.
    With solar panels, you can generate at least 20 to 30 times more green electricity with the same investment!
    Moreover, the wind close to the ground is extremely gusty, which almost always greatly reduces the service life. Only those who MUST be self-sufficient from the grid in winter should install a large wind turbine on a high tower. *Solar systems, on the other hand, reliably generate over 25 -30 years electricity at approx. 3 to 8 cents/kWh.*
