Is the mafia in Sicily a concern there? Do you feel safe?
Hi, Rachel. We are in Texas right now, but when we are in Sicily, we feel very safe. We've never seen any evidence of mafia at all. We are headed back, and I can't wait. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@TheSicilianLife Thank you for responding. Good to hear that you feel safe there. We live in Maryland and plan on taking a trip to Sicily next Fall. Still scouting out where in Europe to retire. Enjoy your time in Texas with your family and safe travels back to Sicily.
@@rachelb9952 Of course. 💕 Oh, that is exciting. Wishing you all the best in your scouting and decision making. Thank you! 😍
You kept saying EUROs… please convert to US. Hard for us to convert an understand all! Just say American Dollar price. Supply conversion price. You go so fast talking we need to comprehend. Deposits, leases, return $$ on deposits. Medical prices? USA insurance cover there?
@Swim136, first of all, thank you for watching and for your comment. 💚 Not everyone is in the U.S. that watches our videos so we go with the local currency most of the time. The beauty of watching a TH-cam video is you can pause when you want, and you can turn the speed down by clicking the cogwheel, Settings, then Playback Speed on the lower right corner of the video. I often use this feature to speed up the videos I watch. Each of us has a different preference. Yes, medical is social medicine so mostly free in Italy for citizens. We paid one months' rent for a security deposit which we got back at the end, and it was applied to our last months' rent. You can see a full personal and detailed breakdown here: Euro/Dollar th-cam.com/video/fU1X0HfI4Q8/w-d-xo.html Hope to help. 😊 Blessings, ~ Carol Amato
It doesn’t rain anymore in sicily. No point going there
@giannidigianni4173, it may have decreased, but it does rain sometimes. We do appreciate you watching, that's for sure! Thank you. Blessings, ~ Carol Amato
Why doesn’t the husband talk?
@kathleenrosado6949, First of all, thank you for watching and for the question. 😊 He does talk in future videos, a little more in each one...This was our very first 'face-to-camera video as a couple. He is very shy, especially about his English. I encourage him that he sounds charming. He definitely opens up more in each video, especially in our 'live' video we did last Monday. Thanks for coming by ~ we appreciate it. 💚 Blessings, ~ Carol Amato
@@TheSicilianLife I thought he was shy, but he has a very kind and expressive face. Let him know that we don't care about the accent, which by the way is very charming. Most Americans wish they spoke another language.
@shayscott7498, Hi Shay, yes, he is, but he is definitely getting better. But usually, he says that he doesn't want to talk much. 😂 I encouraged him narrate his story on this video. th-cam.com/video/eZebgl92_fY/w-d-xo.html I think he did a great job. 😍 Hopefully, I can convince him to talk more. Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful comment. 💚 Blessings, ~ Carol Amato
Glad you came back to Texas. Always welcome to have two more Trump votes in the election !!
MAGA 2024 !!!
Hi Darren, well, regardless of where we live, we will always vote either in person or absentee ballot. God bless America! ❤️🤍 💙Thanks for watching.
Like the channel, but this was a waste of time.
@4U2C-xq9wt, I can appreciate your opinion. The back story is we had posted a bunch of videos from Italy. This was the first face-to-camera video, and we were planning on filming more videos from our "Texas" location until we went to Italy. A lot of our viewers are interested in the 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝘆 we left in the first place. Also, a LOT of people are interested in getting to know us as people, not just the hard facts of life in Italy. Wishing you all the best. ~ Carol Amato
