I'd love to have a go at this, I was wondering if you had any recommendations of where to buy an appropriate type of clay of the type you were talking about? Was really excited to see your Kiln when visiting Vindolanda last week after following you guys for a wee while :)
Hi, glad to hear that you enjoyed the kiln at Vindolanda, I'm going to be there next Wednesday & Thursday doing demos. As regards the clay Potclays coarse raku clay is a really good starting point, some organics will improve it but it already has a lot of grit www.potclays.co.uk/clays-slips-grogs/clays-slips-grogs-crank-raku/coarse-raku

Thank you! The grill is a replica of one from Pompeii and was made for me by Hammer and Hound Forge in Ashington Northumberland.
