- It's been a year exactly since i made a Walkthrough of this old PlayStation 1 game, so, i decided to make a new short video about this particular game i enjoy a lot, in 1080p this time around, featuring the following two Intros and the first two Levels (Gameplay Recorded in 16:9),
Game Description: Ghost in the Shell (PS1) - Gameplay (1080p)
- Ghost in the Shell is a game based on both the Cyberpunk Anime/Film of the same name and the Manga by Masamune Shirow,
- The game's gameplay mechanics share a mix of Action, TPS/FPS (First and Third-Person cameras are available and switchable In-Game) and Car Combat, with the futuristic twist thanks to our Vehicle/Tank abilities to jump and climb walls,
- Even though the game's positive reception, Ghost in the Shell (PS1) is quite rare; Having in consideration the PlayStation's limitations, the game stands out by presenting extremely detailed environments, characters and vehicles, presenting a nice variety of levels and high replay value as well, - เกม

+Darkhelmetman12 We had a shitload in the ps2 era too. Then it seemed to dropped off when the 360 and PS3 came out. They kind of killed the demo disc, though they continued with PC magazines for awhile longer. Then everyone getting faster and faster internet, buying less magazines, nearly everything available digitally, killed off the PC demo discs as we used to know it, lol.
Damn, i had one of these too! Red label with black underside CD-Rom if i remember correctly. It had several other games including Crash Bandicoot Warped. Only the first level of Ghost in the Shell was playable and i must have played it a dozen times over and over.

I've never played the demo, I simply owned the game. Didn't even know there was a demo. This was one of the best games for the platform.
I still have it in the original jewel case!

Wow! The cutscenes in this game are fucking cool. I really like how Shirow Masamune did the animation style from the manga and made it into animated cutscenes with voice acting. Super cool!
This game had everything for me. Really good Animé, Mechs, Fast paced shooting mechanics and a pulsating techno soundtrack. What a game
I had the game. I remember accidentally standing on the case, cracking the disk only to put it in my PS1 and it still work. The good old days! when even broken things worked to some degree. Now they are released broken.

This game is amazing! Huge inspiration as a kid to get into computers and technology.
I played this on the demo disc, I was around 9 years old. Now I'm 30 and a software engineer. Unfortunately I don't play games anymore, unfortunately got work busy and lost interest about a year ago and sold my console.

Me too man, same age as you, I was 8 years old when I played this in 1998, simple times and fun times as a kid. I can't imagine being a child in 2021.

A forgotten gem, was it a great game? No, it was a fun game with some flaws, a solid 7, maybe an 8 if you really dig it.
But the art direction of this game was astounding for the budget it was given. Not many games are made with love anymore, but the PS1 was a place where developers could live their dreams.
this is one game they REALLY need to remake... (can you imagine???)

I remember playing this on a demo disc. Back then I didn't understand English, so I didn't know what demo meant...I used to play the first mission 10000x because I thought I was doing something wrong :D Same with the water game demo, and the skeleton, and Spyro. Driver too.

I LOVED this game!! I still have it. I never beat it, but now that I have the PlayStation Classic; I WILL be beating this game!!

We are so lucky that today we have games that are just as visually impressive as cutscenes have been for decades. It was always jarring going from something as impressive as the cutscenes here into the pixelated mess that was the games. Of course at the time we didn't know it because that was the best we had. Even games being 3D was only a few years old at the time.
Love how you could just walk anywhere, took a little getting used to... but once I did, wow... I bet my friend got headaches watch while getting baked haha!

I must really be one of the rare ones that actually had the demo disk as well as the original game. It took me a while to unlock all of the difference cutscenes, but the practice arena in the game was super fun and useful for later levels in the game.

A remake of this game with same controls, better graphics, and release on the 360 would be Perfect....like ._. I seriously want that to happen.

God! WHOHOOO!. For 23 years i wanted to find it!!. Holy. The Nostalgia is overwhelming. No exeggaration i am in tears man. So much Memories from good Times... my big bobtail dog was my pillow while my great grandma filled the air with her delightful cinnamon flavoured vanilla rolls.. Thank you for that Video.

Just watch the intro to this game. The pacing. The intrigue. Who is this woman? What is this machine? It hooks you right in like you wouldn't believe and doesn't let you go.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn, i remember the robot spiders, really epic design, unfurtonally i ever played the demo >__< And the dubs are PERFECT.
