I played this organ only once when I was about your age. It was when the cathedral was only half built. The organist Paul Calloway found me playing the organ and invited me to leave. So much for mentoring in a young person. My how things have changed. You are lucky that you are able to play where ever you go. Back in the day, it wasnt so easy.
You are extremely talented and very correct. However you need to let yourself go. Your sound is very studied. By that, I mean almost militaristic. You really have it. Your ability is far superior to most. However you need to not just play correctly but with abandonment. Let yourself go, relax. This is not a contest to do everything by the book. You do that better than most. Your appearance is in good taste. You just need to relax more and realize that you have it. Think more about being on stage as an actor and take a chance to even take more freedom with tempo. When you practice, put on a pair of jeans and a T shirt. Run around the block,find something that makes you laugh. Listen to three or four great organists who play the same pieces . You have it. In life even the best dressed people don't get upset if their shirt gets untucked or has a wrinkle by accident. Meditate every day and use"I am really good and better than many as a mantra". Get silly at times. After a while your playing will be less studied. If you still feel frozen, talk to someone you admire and trust. You have it. You just have to learn to roll with it. My first memory of hearing this extraordinary music was abiout fifty years ago. My church, St. Paul's Episcopal in Riverside, CT had just replaced its organ. and this was the final piece played for the recessional at the end of the dedicatioin service by our young organist, Steve Roberts. I still get the same thrill hearing it again!

As usual another triumph Andy. This is my second favourite the first being Toccata and Fugue in D minor Bach. I have only found one really superb version of this on TH-cam so far.

Virtuosity without doubt. But does the virtuosity serve the music? For me, it's just too fast, and many of the details that Widor painstakingly wrote into the score, especially in articulation, are lost. Please play it slower and reveal what Widor envisioned. So many performances of this ignore Widor's intentions.
