It’s not much different than EDP except the latter’s tag as a social pariah may last for good as people make sure he is unemployed and there’s the possibility he may descend into committing crime, homelessness or prison (well if isn’t already in prison)
The issue is, he denied it the first time, made up stories saying it was an act, doubled down on his lies and then tries to meet another girl AGAIN. The only redemption would have been to turn himself in and do jail time. But he just doesn’t do that. In some way, he dug his own grave and did it to himself. Forgiveness is given to those who know what they’ve done and seek to do better.
Why does everyone want to forgive him so desperately anyway? HE willingly did something unforgivable multiple times and showed no remorse or sign of change, or interest in doing so. This isn't someone for people to defend. Celebrity worship is terrifying.

The sad thing about all this is that there's a lot more creators, celebrities and powerful people who do the same thing as EDP did, even worse at times, but they have enough charisma to get tons of people behind them where EDP is basically universally hated now. What's so bizarre to me about this entire situation is the fact that EDP was cancelled (rightfully so might I add) & disciplined accordingly by all social platforms but James Charles still gets to post freely? EDP himself had a pattern of this behavior & never appeared to be remorseful until everything eventually caught up with him; however, can we not say the same about James Charles? Or is this a matter of one having a good legal team while the other doesn't have one? Is it our perception of predators targeting little girls vs little boys? Perhaps it's about who's generated more dollars for TH-cam or who's considered more of a physical threat? It's just very odd to me that one (rightly) gets the treatment you'd expect for this kind of behavior & the other can just move on & sweep it under the rug all while still being caught up in new controversy. I don't know much about the James Charles situation but one is a 30 y/o obese bald guy that talks about pron and the other is a slim and attractive gay guy who does beauty videos and has a rabid fanbase. I have no doubt that looks have a lot to do with this.

The idea that because someone did something "unforgivable" gives everyone the right to make sure he loses everything permanently, jobs, money, shelter, etc. is such a terrible thing. In a situation like that wouldn't you want someone to recover and return to being a functional member of society? like you caught him, it's a decoy, this is the key opportunity to get this guy some help before it happens for real. She pretty much hacked him (Or got someone to hack him) to find his address, then stalked him to try to threaten him in to not making video's about her anymore. What TH-cam ended up doing was temporarily stopping money going to her main account for a bit (Dunno if it's back yet), but, this didn't matter, since she just used her second channel and started transferring all of the video's there. So, not only did she get someone's address by hacking, she also stalked him, put his address online, then when she was punished, avoided the ban by using a second channel, and TH-cam has done absolutely nothing about it.

Sadly they do get away with it, more often than not popular people get an escape. Letting him hold a job and have a place to live and have him go about his life after what would probably be years of therapy and/or jailtime, I think is the best route. What TH-cam ended up doing was temporarily stopping money going to her main account for a bit (Dunno if it's back yet), but, this didn't matter, since she just used her second channel and started transferring all of the video's there. So, not only did she get someone's address by hacking, she also stalked him, put his address online, then when she was punished, avoided the ban by using a second channel, and TH-cam has done absolutely nothing about it.
