Mrs. Jones, this looks nice. I love the sew along videos and the preset along videos. Keep doing these. Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us.
Hi Brittany I had found your channel because of searching for a tutorial on this dress. I had purchased the pattern when it launched but became somewhat intimidated upon reading the directions in regard to the twist. Your tutorial helped so much! I now have a beautiful yellow linen dress. Thank you for this very helpful tutorial! Blessings to you and your family.😊
Looks lovely Brittany! Thank you for the sew along, always an opportunity to keep learning. Have been teaching myself to sew. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
Love watching your videos!!! I really need to get back to seeing. I am so inspired when I watch your videos. I am prior military and my husband is a retired marine.
I really love this dress and it really suits you. Love your tutorials and sew alongs, it makes sewing a breeze. You have also converted me to linen big time. Thank you Brittany.
Another awesome video! This dress looks fabulous on you. It is really flattering, and I can see why you chose the pattern. Keep em coming Brittany! Love you girl!
Thanks so much! I was so excited you were doing a sew along as I'd planned to sew this pattern and was very concerned about that twist. I knew you would get it right and make sure the rest of us did.
I really like this dress. Front seems a little complicated for me but think I might tackle it. It is quite flattering on you and the white color is great. Brings out your pretty face and skin tone. Looks cool and refreshing.
Thank you so much for this video! I have this pattern and have read through the directions several times and still felt confused about the front twist. You video explained that so well. I know feel I can proceed with making this dress. Happy Saturday!😊
Brittany, I love this dress, it is so pretty on you! I didn't even know a twist front could be done in a woven, I have only seen it done in stretch fabrics. Thanks for showing this video! Have a great weekend. I hope you can find a cool/comfortable place to be!! God Bless all our Military Families.
Aww. Did you get bit by a bug? Ice it. You are the bomb.com Ms Brittany. You talent is in the stratosphere which is why I recommended you about 10 times this week alone. You are going to have all of us sewing like we are from professional sewing houses. Thanks again for the tip about interfacing the area for the zipper. I think that is going to make a difference for my zippers.
Hi Brittany I saw your dress on TH-cam today Friday and I want to say that your dress looks so awesome on you I really loved and I'm hoping to buy the pattern for myself so that I can make it thank you so much for sharing this beautiful dress and yourself too😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Love the dress, Brittany! Which setting do you use to finish seams with your serger(-I just bought the same one)? Nothing can interfere with your million watt smile, girl!
Thank you so much for making this video! Do you think it would be possible to assemble the dress without the front center-seam placket? It doesn't seem critical to the construction, and I'd rather not have it, but I'm having trouble seeing if the dress would look strange without it. Presumably, the two front bottom pieces could be joined the same way the two front bodice pieces are joined at the center front?
This is beautiful Brittany! Thanks so much for all your extra work. I was wondering if you alter the patterns for fit at all, and if you do, have you put that in a video? Blessings to you!
Lora Davis yes I did grade but not until after I passed the twist. The bust, and waist I cut on the 16, for the hips though I had to merge to the 20. So I slowly started to merge after I passed the waistline where the twist is.
Thanks for this sew along, enjoyed it from start to end.I have one question ,is the left band at the waist supposed to be showing or should it be hidden in the twist?
I’m new to sewing do you have to have a serger machine to sew clothes? I have a computerized sewing machine with over 100 stitches can I just use that to finish edges?
Brittany hi! Yes I do have a serger, and yes you can use your sewing machine. You can use a zig zag stitch or see if one of your stitches is an overlock stitch. You can use that as well!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Your instructions are easy to follow! Could you please share the type fabric you usef and where was it purchased? Thanks in advance.
Hi Brittany and thank for this detailed video! My question is....could you possibly show a very close up view with the camera for the zipper where you attached it to the facing? I have done several rewinds, but still can’t really see this step. Or, if you already have a previous video showing this step up close and personal I would like to be informed...maybe tell me the name of the video?
Love watching your sew with me series, would you please do a sew along for McCalls 7116 view B.... I can not get these sleeves right.... help! thank you for sharing, I learning so much.
bnnrose hi! I use Frixion Pens. I ordered them from Amazon. I just bought them recently and they are great so far! I was very pleased it left no marks on my white dress!
@@brittanyjjonestv Thank you so much! I just read about Frixion pens this weekend elsewhere on a blog or somewhere so now I am definitely going to try them!
Aw Wow !!! girl that is a super hot dress on you. It looks fab in white. As for your lip take 500mgs to 1000mg of L-Lysine and you will never have another cold sore on your lip.

Absolutely beautiful!!!
Thanks so much! I was so excited you were doing a sew along as I'd planned to sew this pattern and was very concerned about that twist. I knew you would get it right and make sure the rest of us did.

I'm brand new to sewing and it is SO HELPFUL to be able to watch you do this. Love your videos!
Thank you so much for this video! I have this pattern and have read through the directions several times and still felt confused about the front twist. You video explained that so well. I know feel I can proceed with making this dress. Happy Saturday!😊
Thank you for the video, I put aside the dress. The twist was getting the better of me. Now that you have shown how it is done I will finish.
You are an awesome teacher
Just ordered the pattern on sale. Thank you for the tutorial and boosting my confidence.
Great tutorial, and you look fantastic in your dress!!
Thank you so much!

I haven’t attempted to make this style of dress yet. When I do try it I know that I will be sewing along with your excellent video. Thanks.
Yay! I'm happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much!

Nicely done Mrs. Jones

Love it! Great tutorial....I have my pattern and I'm going to do this one!
Yasss!!!! I can't wait to get this pattern!!! I need POCKETS though!!! I love a nice dress with pockets.
Yolanda Pinkney-Jordan good idea! I think I’m going to install pockets when I make it
Love the dress, Brittany! Which setting do you use to finish seams with your serger(-I just bought the same one)? Nothing can interfere with your million watt smile, girl!
Another beautiful dress, looked like a lot of work but worth the effort you look gorgeous.
A beautiful dress for the summer!
Love this make!!!
Very nice, as usual💕
Thank you so much for making this video! Do you think it would be possible to assemble the dress without the front center-seam placket? Presumably, the two front bottom pieces could be joined the same way the two front bodice pieces are joined at the center front?
My thoughts exactly! I can't see any real purpose for the placket and I really don't have enough material for it.
This is beautiful Brittany! Thanks so much for all your extra work. I was wondering if you alter the patterns for fit at all, and if you do, have you put that in a video? Blessings to you!
Beautiful dress, I’m going to order this pattern immediately. Thank you. 😊
LOVELY -- as usual!
I love it!
I like this dress! Wonder how this would look in a black dress with white circle print? I might try that...🤨😁
Wonderful video Brittany...did you have to grade from the waist to the hip and if so...I did you do it with that twist front..thanks??
Lora Davis yes I did grade but not until after I passed the twist. The bust, and waist I cut on the 16, for the hips though I had to merge to the 20. So I slowly started to merge after I passed the waistline where the twist is.
Thanks for this sew along, enjoyed it from start to end.I have one question ,is the left band at the waist supposed to be showing or should it be hidden in the twist?
Brittany how easy is it to extend the length of the sleeve on this pattern as it’s a grown on sleeve.

Brittany hi! Yes I do have a serger, and yes you can use your sewing machine. You can use a zig zag stitch or see if one of your stitches is an overlock stitch. You can use that as well!
Great job. Thank you
What fabric did you use? Linen? Its a great look. I am inspired to try it.
Carmen Salomé Yes It is Linen.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Your instructions are easy to follow! Could you please share the type fabric you usef and where was it purchased? Thanks in advance.
How do you mark your fabric? What do you use?
Donna Prosser hi! I just started using Frixion Pens. I found them on Amazon and I’m really loving them. I used them in this video!

Yay! I bought this pattern recently. Was also hoping to buy your favorite knot dress for knits (because curves...) but it's out of print! NOOOO! 😱
You are so sweet. I wish we were neighbors. I get so frustrated seeing, but have probably 50 patterns I want to make!
Love watching your sew with me series, would you please do a sew along for McCalls 7116 view B.... I can not get these sleeves right.... help! thank you for sharing, I learning so much.
Very nice. Thank you.
Brittney, what did you use to mark your white fabric?

Great dress
Beautiful dress, thank you.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for a superb video sew along. My question has to do with bust fitting. I have a D cup. Can you help me?
Great Tutorial, the front twist was a little confusing. Had to watch again. Beautiful crisp white dress. Thxs for sharing.
Also, thank you for showing how you made a mistake! I just sewed a toile of DP Studio's Le 5001, and I had to redo that twist TWICE! 🤦🏻♀️
Aw Wow !!! girl that is a super hot dress on you. It looks fab in white. As for your lip take 500mgs to 1000mg of L-Lysine and you will never have another cold sore on your lip.
a r thank you so much!
Here in Europe we can not get this pattern. To bad it looks great
Elsa Fischer have you tried ordering the PDF from McCalls website? I wonder if that option could work for you.❤️
Elsa Fischer In the Netherlands, I ordered it from naaipatronen.nl . Not sure if they ship elsewhere, but you could check the site!
I would love to see a video of cutting your fabric out. Thanks
She has one or a couple from videos she did in the past. Last year I remember she did it on the overall jumper
Could you please say what size you did
I just watch ur video it was good but could u use a darker color fabric or darker color thread so we can see what ur doing I got lose on a lot of things cause everything’s is white
Hello do have have the pattern number for the knit version?
Lovely
💯
Love this tutorial, but the white fabric made it really hard to see what you were doing in some parts.
Good instructions. The only issue is it was difficult see the white fabric. I would suggest a color that does not reflect light as much.
Sorry about your lip. I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Huggs
