    Good info, well shot. I always like it when the tools needed are listed in the description. I'd rather look for and gather prior to starting the job.

    All was smooth sailing until I went to take the metal bars out. The window was in a groove that had a locking cotter pin and tab that had to be removed or it wasn't coming out. I couldn't even see it, so I shoved the window back down until I saw it in the opening and was able to remove it. I also bought one of those suction cups which helps a lot. Thanks for the video.

    I would be happy to pay you to fix my 2006 window; but unfortunately we are too far apart. I’m in Lancaster S.C. Thanks for the video. I’ll give it a try.

    hello, a question, what size speaker does it have on the door? My Chrysler Voyager 99 does not have that Speaker on the door (although it does have the connector) and I would like to put it on, does it have a special base or how could I put it on or adapt it? greetings :D

    So what's the trick if your window came completely off track and is sitting at the bottom of your door, wedged beyond all hope in that position. Far as i can tell, it is not possible to get the tracks removed if the window is not in the up position. But i just can't seem to muscle the window back up manually, just now where to get a hold on it. Ill keep cursin and struggling, but if anyone has any trick/tips id appreciate it.

      Options, Drill a few holes with a hole saw at the bottom of the door to get access to the bolts or clips holding the glass on, OR Use a pair of wire cutters to cut the cables on the regulator and you should be able to get the glass up

      @@PowerUpAuto Thanks for the quick reply. I had access to the bolts, window was just wedged down in place when it came off track and dropped to bottom of the door. I didnt think of cutting the cable, was stil lkinda in the investigatory phase and wasnt sure if my regulator itself was bad and was trying to avoid replacing it if possible anyways. Ended up just muscling it, brute force/raging on it and something broke free from whatever was obstructing it and i was able to get it up. Even trickier to get the guide channels out though, those cables are so tight even with the ziptie cut off, just no leeway in em whatsoever. Might have to just cut it all apart to get it out, hopefully the new one i order is easier to fit in on install then this is to fit out on the removal.

    If its happen in the right door. FIRST CHECK CONTACT BETWEN electro graphite carbon brush and rotor in electric motor ITS EASY AND YOU CAN SAVE MONEY AND TIME. WHY ? Because its happen that greas from spiral screw on rotor of electric motor when is very hot is by time going down and pollutes carbon brush and rotor and break the contact betwen them. All you need is clean the rotor and carbon brushes and its going work again. Only two screw is hold the motor.

    • @cdupchurch6280
      @cdupchurch6280 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, because clearly the window motor had already been accessed, BEFORE THE VIDEO WAS FILMED, which is probably when the actual repair was done. What YOU DON'T SEE, here, is how to deal with the stubborn plastic clips all around the bottom of the door AND how difficult it is to get the door handle pushrod out without breaking that 1-of-a-kind plastic rod holder clip AND the joy of removing (and replacing) the necessary sound-deadening plastic film.

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, I actually did the work and filmed. This is a working farm, I don't use other peoples videos or work.
      The clips are not mission critical. A few can break off, no big deal.
      The door handle rod simply unclips from the handle. Pretty easy.
      You only get sound baffling on Lincolns, Caddys and above. The plastic inside the door is a moisture barrier that prevents condensation from coming from the door to the door panel. Its not vital but you should be able to fashion something if you feel you need it.

    Ended up just snapping the lock tab off of two of the stupid white plastic rivets holding the regulator on. What a trash design. The third i was just trying to muscle and ended up ripping it out and bending the actual metal of the door in the process around the hole. Thinking i couldnt get one of these rivets to work again if i wanted to haha, def gonna replace them with a bolt/washer/nut if i can find a workable size. What an idiotic design this shit is. THose things are impossible.
