For people who like to use scanner room/HUD alot, I've found the Better Scanner Blips mod is also a must (Versions available for both original and BZ). It simply makes scanner blips smaller/faded if they are further away, but it makes things both easier to read and nicer to look at. One of those "Why didn't it already work like this?" kind of mods.
As a console player, I'd love the cyclops in below zero, and wind turbines. Basically, the mods that give way to more power oppertunities (and general base upgrades) amaze me and make me wish that I could have them.
And Power is not a problem, the Bio Reactor generally handles everything you need and isn't as hungry like it use to be, and later the Fission Reactor will take care of nearly anything. I had 4 solar panels on my Twisty Bridges Base and until i found the mines this was all i needed. I've never ran even low on power.
These are really good quality of life mods. I do wish someone would come up with a stackable inventory mod. Being able to have 20 titanium in one inventory slot would be amazing.
Thanks so much for invetory mod no one ever talks about invetory mod and thanks for buting more slots mod i didnt even know it existed and thanks for the bonus mod all in one grafting table. Best youtuber Thanks so much. Keep going. :)
And I find out something about the map mod. If you're far enough that your radar on sea glide cant map the caves and other things around you, your map wont show anything either.
I've ben trying to find a Mod that adds an expansion pack of Building Assets (more structures specifically) for the first game. The Build menu is lacking immensely in this. It surprises me that no one has created an expansion pack. Haven't played Sub Zero yet, though I probably will at some stage, because I've only been playing the first game just over a week. Looking for things that improve a game is something of a habit.
yes this, food preparation in general. crafting recipes that will stay good in inventory. in the first game all u have is salted fish and nutrient bars, and u only get the few bars that are on aurora . in below zero the stuff in crates respawns so I ended up with so many nutrient bars that it kinda broke the game for me
half of these features that the mods are getting rid of like a certain amount of slots and no map and designed to make the game better, having no map means you half to take time and become familiar with the map, it also makes the world feel much bigger when you cant see exactly where everything is all at once, the locked number of slots are there so you half to pick and choose what tools you might need to use quickly in an emergency, taking that away just makes the game less thrilling, these would def not be anywhere near my top 5 because in my opinion theyre actually detracting from the game as a whole, I mean one of those literally just makes it so building is extremely easy so why not just use creative mod.
Spoiler warning The map argument is kinda meh imo. It gets bigger with time so you feel progress and for the endgame in og subnautica and you had to collect all the plants was a pain. Some bioms werent visited a long time before the quest came up. So aftef some time I just googled the map to get to the right bioms. Its not fun to search everything so minor. Its just slog if you just want to beat the story there isnt enough time to learn the whole map
i cant use many mods with nexus like the slot extender, only the more quick slots work, like i would really like to have the seatruck arms. do you have a solution?
I started playing subnautica about when you made your videos, never thought to watch any till now. My advice: Slot extender mod: (Vehicles) Uneeded, prawn suit and Seamoth (truck) are supposed to be individual. The sea truck extended this, but I believe the arms just add too much. It would be easier, but still doesn’t get me. Snap Building mod: THANK GOD!!! I HATED snapping stuff myself. EasyCraft mod: Think of your one storage saving up for a mmmm, maybe seatruck. You also want to build something with similar components. You have two storages, one for your seatruck one for the something. Boom, you save up for no reason, cry about it, and cancel that mod. :( Map mod: uneeded aswell. It’s fun to not knowing where you are. Bonus 1: overpowering. Sorry for overtyping! Sorry for responding soooo late! SORRY!
2 quick qestions. 1- how did you get the large room building 2- do you know if the all in one fabricator will be coming back. ( Its been deleted) thanks for any feed back
I’m 100% not modding the first subnautica because the leviathans are terrifying and there’s like fifty of each one. Subnautica there’s only a handful of each and they’re not even that scary. You’re never catching me off creative mode playing subnautica even then I’m still terrified.
I installed all of the mods and for some reason none of them works. I didn't have such problem with the original Subnautica. I'm using a cracked version of the game.
Adding a map kinda defeats the point of the game. The game is about being lost on an alien world. The game WANTS you to feel lost and explore, like thats literally the message the devs are manifesting in the game.
I get what you are saying but in the map mod you are mapping it as you explore it. So basically instead of you mentally mapping and remembering it... it’s like you have space age technology that can assist you in mapping it out as you explore it. It makes sense you have technology to do everything else seems like you’d have a scan to map upgrade or something.
Except it clearly looks greyed out. And have to chart it out. You can build a huge room from a handheld fabricator in seconds and can make a room that can display a holographic map and search for specific materials (scanner room) and yet you can't chart a map. It's like you didnt actually watch the video
It blows my mind that you can have a super high tech tool that allows you to build a giant base. But a BASIC MAP is just to complicated to make... It's dumb.
Cool mods, good video, I'm not doing it because I don't think it changes much, but if there is one thing I'm seeking, is more realistic inventory, if the tools are in your inventory, its big like the glider, but if you attached to hot bar, it's kept at your suit attachments, not in your inventory, like a utility belt. If someone knows do let me know.
Well on the glide you press up for an automatic 3d localized map and on the pda you go under the tab 'maps' for discovered ones and you can also make use of scanner rooms which have that 3d room sized map that can also be extended pretty well.
ok. subnautica was the best game ive ever played. but below zero has to be the worst. however i really want to finish it ! i think if I can get a normal sub to erase my memory of the patheic sea truck ill be able to finish it. does any one know of a ship mod "? also considering theres shit all help with knowing where to go. a beacon quest finder like subnautica would be amazing
