This is wonderful information! Can't imagine the effort it took to put it all together so concisely. Sadly, we are too old to be in huge crowds so we will watch the events on our tv. But we join everyone around the world in this great celebration! Thank you, Frenchies.

Hello, I started watching your channel because I'm planning to go the France for the 2024 Olympics, I have already purchased my tickets. Right now I'm looking into staying at an airbnb away from the city. This will be my 3rd Olympics, first summer (SLC and Vancouver). I"l will be referring back to your videos for more info concerning the Olympics. Thanks so much .

Having recently spent time in Paris I would so like to be there for the Olympics, but coming from Australia is a huge expense. Hmm maybe I should get into surfing & head to Tahiti instead! I’m sure wherever I am, they’ll be fabulous. ☺️

Great tips and insights into the locations throughout Paris. As someone that lived in Atlanta during the 1996 Olympics don't think you can't enjoy the Olympics on a budget. There are so many free events and lots of last minute opportunities to buy tickets. If you happen to have any friends that work for any of the big sponsors they will have lots of the best tickets in town. Also a fun activity is pin trading so find the perfect hat you enjoy to wear and get ready to socialize and have fun trading pins.

Yes! My family and I got tickets to archery, beach volleyball, and water polo and are so excited! I used to ;live in Paris back in 2001-02 (3, rue Cloche Perce in the Marais), and I can't wait to show my husband and 10-yr old where I lived and worked back in the day! I am definitely going to have them watch this, thanks!!

Sydney 2000 was amazing. We lived not far from the Harbour Bridge, and watched the torch relay pass not far from our home. We watched the opening ceremony in central Sydney on a BIG screen. And the vibe began! My wife was ambivalent until the torch relay, getting a photo with a torch runner. From there it was whatever we could get. She went to the Olympic stadium with her sisters, and the price was pretty good, given it was last minute. I went to one event with my neice. Field hockey Malaysia vs Canada. Hey you take what you can get. But it was a blast. The biggest thing of all was the sheer amount of people who talked on trains, on ferries, everywhere. All strangers getting caught up in the whole thing. Sat on the Harbour for the closing fireworks. What a finish! Would love to be there, but the prices you showed will be minimums to pay I think. So, next best thing, we are either going before (Apr-May) or after (Sept-Oct) Regardless, you 2 enjoy and we all look forward to the video.

Be aware there is a serious bed bug problem in France at this time make sure you bring a rapid test for bed bugs it only takes 5 minutes for the results to show you if your hotel room has bed bugs this is a very important step before staying at the hotel you do not want to bring the bugs home with you!

Thanks for great info...ı have already bought some game tickets, we will stay in a camping area near Paris and ı wanna share some news I have recently learned about metro prices...during the games they don't sale weekly metro tickets (including Paralympic Games)...another named weekly metro tickets will be saled and doubled around 70 euros instead 30...and all tickets (including daily)prices will be increased to compensate for more services. ...For me it is not fair..while they will increase the scheduled services, at the same time the more spectators and tourists will visit Paris ...the same budget...the more visitors the more gain...i hope they will change their minds...thanks again..

Thank you so much for this informative video about the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024. We plan to visit Paris in April of 2024. Do you think there will be so much construction around the main sights that will interfere with our views access around Paris? For example, the Volleyball arena will be on the grounds near the Eiffel Tower. And the Seine River will be obstructed by crews cleaning near and around the river. The screens for viewing will be put up around many sights constructing the views...
We are thinking we should postpone for another date? What are your thoughts?

When we started planning our Paris trip (leaving in 4 days!), my wife suggested goin next year. I reminded her that 2024 is the Olympics and they're in Paris and everything will be overpriced (I said in our Québecois parlure "Ça va couter la peau du cul!"). She agreed and we decided to go this year. That was summer last year. I remember vaguely the Summer Games here in Montreal in 1976, I was four and I remember seeing lots of people all around, especially at Olympic Stadium, which we call the Big O.
    Allez, on s'en vient!!

I don't remember under which video I had asked the question, but I'll just say it here...the archaeological crypt near Notre-Dame is open to the public. We went yesterday afternoon after we went to see how the work on the restoration was progressing. It costs 9€ for adults to get in and our 15 year old daughter got in for free. There is a security checkpoint at the entrance, but it's pretty easy going through.
Today is our day at Versailles.

Haha, 30% price increase. I wish that was true. During the Olympics hotels usually cost four times as much as normal. During the Rio Olympics very basic hotel rooms already had rates of $400 per night and four star hotels were around $800 to $1000 per night. Athletes stay in the Olympic village, but the the media need thousands of rooms and they can usually pay any price. So the absurd thing is that the most expensive hotels are sold out first.
I can recommend booking an apartment. You can still get apartments for less than $200 per nights for the time of the games. That's cheaper than most hotels. I did that in Rio and spent just $150 per night. The best budget hotel for the time of the games seems not be one in Nogent-sur-Marne, which still has rooms below $200 per night.

Thanks for this. Crazy to know that well over a year before the start of Paris 2024 a lot of things were sold out already.

Olympics are not for me. Too crowded. I’m coming to Paris on June 8th for two weeks and will enjoy it to the fullest.

Excellent video! Funny thing is, I was thinking of it earlier today that I am going to tell these guys to post a video related to the Olympics. Lo and behold, soon as I log on to TH-cam, I see this video. Good info as usual. Thanks!

Thank you! I won't even be there for the Olympics (I'm going this winter) but I still enjoyed your video! I too would have wanted to procure tickets to the break dancing competition! And I love that France allows the broadcast viewing to be free and accessible to all.

hi if you're visiting Paris please know the way the Olympics have been dealt with here is not seen well at all by the public opinion.
subway fees went from like 2.40 euros to 4 euros to "encourage" y'all to walk more during the sports season.
they wanna make athletes swim in the seine...that alone should worry any team captain.
they had to kick out half the students of the city to welcome tourists and so on.
hope any tourist coming knows all these things!
    love y'all!

Great video and information. Love your enthusiasm too. While this sounds amazing I am thankful I was there this spring and will avoid all the crowds during the Olympics. Still, I’m looking forwarding to seeing some of this televised.

Great info! So many things I wouldn't have thought about! Although I doubt I'll make it this year, seeing a video like this makes me feel more involved because of the details you guys talked about that I wouldn't know unless I attended the event. Thank you!!!!

I'm visiting Paris with my husband in june, and we heard that some monuments are starting to be closed in March for the Olimpics. Could you make a video about it, and help us to prepare for this trip to enjoy it the most, despite of this pre-Olimpics situation?
