Glad I've not updated my 2020 500x for the new one now, more electronics to go wrong😜I've completely modified mine, including the end can. Just trade it in for a 2022 bike & mod it up😋
Thank you for raising the sensor light issue. I think it is euro5+ related from what I can gather. I see some end cans saying euro5+ compliant, I think they might have different catalytic converters in them to previous ones. Obviously cost more. Really interested to hear how it pans out as I am in the market for one and would like to understand more before I take the plunge. I knew nothing about this before your video so really appreciate the heads up. Off to do more digging but would love any updates/thoughts.
mate i've a honda click 150i(yay), up graded the front pad and line, clutch spring, gearbox weights, suspension, tyres, oil, air filter....with the gearbox mod she does an extra 15kms/hr (no restrictor bounce) and the acceleration is much better. Tell you what the gearbox and the front suspension upgrade (internal oil, springs & seals only) was was the most improvement, with rear suspension 3rd. Front pad upgrade and braded line much better brake feel.
Just a thought, for the NX. Usually, the sensor bypass is a 'plug in' device. You could fit it, and, if needs be, remove it/replace the sensor when the bike goes in for any warranty work?! I know it's a faff, but.....
They should inform their dealers was my point , the dealer knew the can was going on if they knew they would have told me rather than having all this back and forth …
@@Mrfish2015 Your Honda dealer should have told you the risk, the problem is not the sensor not working but because it is, because the cb500x is euro 5 bike and the nx500 is euro 6 the sensor notices the difference in the end can flow

8bhp really 😮nothing wrong with the CL 500 I never understand why people waste money on end cans I’ve had a couple but as replacement for old rotten systems , I found dealerships always ask have you got the OEM system the bike sells better with that stuff on just my opinion 😊
I don't think that changing that sensor is going to solve the problem. But the biggest question is how the manufacturers of top cans have put it in market before checking its behavior. Luckily, after reading your complaint (and some of other NX owners), did not make an order. Still, somehow, I do like the original sound, just would like to have it with a little more bass. Cheers
My only bike problems is not having time to get out riding often enough 😂 Hopefully, the NX will be ok as it’s a great little bike. However, in the unlikely event that you do have to sell it, take the Transalp for a spin. I think it may suit you well
Oh shite ... so sorry to hear this.. infuriating when these things go wrong.. but anyhoo, the Cub is the go to original smile per mile... Hope Honda get the NX sorted (can they lend you something though? ) ...
Had 77 mph on my standard grom (down a steepish dual carriageway hill with a strong tailwind and a Range Rover in front which gave some slipstream ) bike still felt planted but I was getting nervous in the outside lane 😅
Problems? My brand new r1250 r has been in shop for 6 weeks now. Bmw only supplied car (not bike) for 2 weeks. Bike only done 1500 miles. Customer service from all departments has been terrible. That's problems mate
Bloody sensors lol .How do you find the high seat Mr fish I went on a 270 mile trip around devil's Bridge Sunday. And my poor ass lol I've got the standard seat would you recommend the higher seat 😊
I got a new NX end of February. After 3 weeks engine light came on and it went into limp mode. Took it back and it wasn’t showing’s any error codes so they disconnected battery for a minute reconnect it and lite went out. It did this 3 times in 2 months. Anyway apparently the early NX,s were rushed out as demand was so high and some were fitted with an ECU that was programmed for the far east and not Europe. Apparently petrol over there is a different blend so the bike was thinking it had bad fuel. They changed my ECU 2 weeks ago and it seems ok, even feels a bit smoother. Just wondering if this maybe your issue
That is the reason i am not selling my Queen. Rocking tubes, less electronics....installed nuclear powerplant in it (PIAA 2000 series spots on crashbars and floods on the handlebars). Only downside is lack of free space to hide wiring at front since i have a gps and original fogs already installed. Should have stayed wit Your red Africa or just move to a model with throttle by wire. Decisions decisions....
Sorry to hear the NX is giving you sub par vibes. I would fit a by pass - they are often just simple plug and play - if you get a warranty issue just remove it when you take the bike in they wont know. Maybe you should get an Africa Tw............no, just kiddin!
Hahaha... that MX5 owner needs to sell it and buy a Prius! 😀 Ahhh... that is why SEAL 😀 That really sucks the bad luck you have had with the NX. I have 3 bikes off the road currently too, although the V Strom will be usable after it's first service in the week.
@@Mrfish2015 For some reason, 80% of all interesting motorbike videos TH-cam recommends me are from left-sided traffic and watching it is slightly disturbing. I actually tried the video mirroring once. ;)
Put a screen on the Seal and job done, no need for the NX. Some countries in the EU can not even change exhausts or will fail MOT. Honda are forced to comply with emission standards, thank Greta.
So you've cancelled all of that because you don't want to put the original exhaust. Who needs the gadgetry anyway, didn't u n I just ride regardless in our youth? 😊
Really great to see someone showing the love for the smaller bikes. My wifes little ER5 is a real guilty pleasure 🙂
Love the Little Onda !! I can only sit here and giggle as i ride a Tricity 125cc!!!! Now over 70 and i love the LACK of Horsepower, so refreshing.
Totally agree 👍. I bought my Classic 350 Because of it's 20bhp NOT in spite of it. Such fun being able to use 100% of the available "performance" 😊😊
CL500 is a great bike. Never looked at one till I had one as a courtesy bike and now I want one.
I bought a Seal 500 after watching your video. It doe,s everything that i wanted. So i thank you for a honest review on the bike. I love it.
Thanks mate , appreciate it … glad you like it , I love mine
Had my NX in mid June and done 1400miles so far - absolutely love it. Keeping it as standard tho
Yeah it’s tempting 😝

Check and see if Healtech do a plug in bypass sensor . I fitted one on my own bike . 60 seconds fits it . Easy on easy off . No warranty worries 😄
May be the way , thanks
Got a NX500, fitted a Miv end can absolutely no issues 3500 miles later, could be just a dicky sensor..the Nx is a fabulous bike btw
That’s what I’m hoping
Loving my cl500, something about it 😂, i often choose it over my bigger bikes ......its just the seat, bit poo 😮😢😂
I have the higher seat , still poo but bearable lol
Must be something in the water, I've got 3 bikes all with issues. That Cub looks like a right laugh 😂
It is always fun
My nx 500 gifs engine Light when battery is low or disconnectet. After 2 trips it resets itself. Its a very good bike👍🏍
