My 4 year old son was diagnosed a year ago and we are still learning. This film is amazing and I'm gonna share it with everyone so they can get a better understanding what it's like to live with. Moved me to tears 😭❤️
I was diagnosed with type 1 when i was 21 now I’m 38 and i can tell this film is like a real copy of my life😔 i was angry for sometime, but by time and seeing lots of stories I’m thankful, i wish and hope my boys don’t get it🙏 thanks a million for making this 💐 I’ll make sure to spread it every where 👍
This is brilliant. I thought it would be a chesey, low-budget film, but I really enjoyed it. I now know I'm not the only one that feels this way. I'm not the only one who spends evry waking moment hating this vicious disease. Thank you.
This is spot on most of it seems you was following us with a camera. It's brought me to tears several times. We thought our son had the flu it was just like the flu to begin with we didn't realize how bad it was until he was drinking 3/4 gallons of water a day. There needs to be more awareness about diabetes. Keytones and D.K.A is no fun.
Hey Dan, By wild twist of fate my cameo in this film has turned out to be prophetic. Enjoyed watching this tonight, after ten plus years. It hits deep now. Jim P
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Type 1? That's unusual later in life but not unheard of. Hope you and the family are doing well. We're doing well, all things considered. Can't believe how quickly time passes.
@@DanMasucci Yes, Type 1, counting carbs and injecting 4 times a day minimum. I dropped down to under 115 before they figured it out. We are all doing well. Regards to the clan. J
I was misdiagnosed as a T2d. I was 67 when I was correctly diagnosed. That was in 2020, not a good year for medical issues. I got next to no information about what I was supposed to do. I am still unclear about exactly what I am supposed to do. I can't imagine what it would be like if my son had diabetes.
Thank you for making this film. My daughter and myself were recently diagnosed t1's and this really touched my heart. I hope you continue to make more videos.
I was diagnosed in 2000 at the age of 6. It's the first time I watch a film where I can identify with the main character (not like watching something like walking dead thinking if I were there i'd need a hell lots of juices box by the end of the first episode)... . It would be so great to have more films and tv show having leading caracters with type one.
Wow. This is like reliving what happened in our family. My 12 year old son was diagnosed in April of 17, he was in dka. Everything you mention from the education to the worry is spot on! I hope this gets the views it deserves. Good job :-)
Very accurate and well done! I love how you show the BG of people at the end credits! As a type 1 mom, these numbers are always running through my head. Son age 11, diagnosed 2 years ago, current BG 136.
beautiful short, I would commend your research and how hard would it be for parents like you to go through it! I was surfing a first narrative film on youtube and God land me here! I am blessed, I will share with more people and make sure, kids don't feel awkward! God bless your son!
Wow< Very honest and true. Thank you Dan for making this movie, I shared and will continue to share with others. As a type 1 parent your movie spoke my daily truth and thoughts. Thank you
Hi thank you for this film, it brought some strong feelings to me, i am type 1 and was diagnoised in 1969 so about 48 years of it. my daughter also a type 1 at the same age i was which was 9. this is so good people need to realised type 1 is relentless. i am about to add some films to my own channel to show the complications we can suffer as i now suffer loads of problems. its good to share this and needs to be highlighted more. when ever there is anything on the tv its about type 2 which can also be bad but not the same disease once again thank you and i will be sharing this film
I feel like I could've made this film myself. My son was diagnosed at 12 last Christmas. He was already in DKA. Your phone call about the chocolate milk made me laugh, lol. I've made that same call multiple times.
Thank you so much for this film Dan. This was an exact situation I have experienced and have had a really hard time coming to grips aoout it. I worry so much about my son and he gets mad and tells me, "I am the one living with it not you...so don't bother me", yet he doesn't control it like he should. It is very difficult noe that he is an adult and living away from home. This really put things in perpective that I am not the only one out there in this situation. Ken from Santa Fe NM
Good but I think it would have been better with the actual parents to see them recreate their real reactions. Thanks for making it and spreading awareness.
Thanks! Unfortunately me and my wife aren't good enough actors! My wife plays the grocery store woman talking about curing t1 and my t1 son is the star and I wrote it!
Thanks Dan, very helpful in our month long journey so far with T1D. Great piece and very much in line with what we are dealing with in our 10 yr old son. God bless! 1PE 1:6
Please add more in the title of the video found this by chance add all about type 1 that the title will let you put in. You'll get more attention to this and it needs way more attention

I’m sorry to hear about that dx. Stay strong. It’s been 15 years for us
As a parent, who son was diagnosed at 12 years old, watching, this makes me relive it all over again
Excellent job
Thank you. It's been 15 years for our family.
If more people knew how terrible this disease is, maybe we already had a cure for it. Thank you for raising awareness!
If they only knew, especially with the now technology, we would have one almost no time.
It's been 5 years with diabetes and I guess this reflects the true side of our world.
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 4 and I am 17 now and this is the most accurate thing I have ever watched!
Thank you for saying so. Please spread the video and share it with friends and family, and everyone else.
I was diagnosed with type one Diabetes since I was 18. Now I’m 19.
Stay strong, my friend.

I have 2 friends that are diabetic and my dad is a diabetic
So I might get diabetes since I'm the daughter of a diabetic
type 1 diabetes isn't hereditary- although that might factor in, it's not always the case. Hope you don't!
