    Thank you for this. This car tends to have tiny animals or nesting bugs inside the dash area and needs to be cleaned out while the car sits at a lot..

    Thank you for a great video. Helped me a lot. I want to remove the whole mid console and I don't know how to detach those wires you skipped over.

      Got them out using the clip removal tool. They just pry straight out using it.

    have you seen anything on removing the a-pillar or pillar panels on the sides of the front window?

      @DocsCustoms  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's been a engine since I've seen the inside of one but I'm pretty sure it just pops off. The top clip may have the special type that needs a half turn with needle nose pliars in order to completely remove it

    Please if possible make a video showing how bypass tpms sensor in 2012 prius v because a lot of yellow cabs low pressure tire light comes on after a while. Thank you

    • @DocsCustoms

      Short answer, you can't.
      Although I have heard of guys building homemade pressure cans out of abs pipe from the hardware store and putting all your tire sensors inside the can. But you didn't hear that from me

    This video is from a long time ago. What is the best place to get an always on 12v power line from within the dashboard of these cars?

      If I remember correctly there is no safe source to grab constant 12V inside the cab. You could go right to the 12V battery in the trunk if you wanted. Otherwise I've always had to get it from the fuse panel in the engine bay, there is a lug there for that purpose. The cigar power beside the aux input is ignition only

    Thanks, I would like to bring power to a camera located near the rear view mirror. (2010 Prius IV) It seems ridiculous to bring the wires around the edged of the window when there is already live wires in the console on the roof. I am also not sure what to call the panels that go between the front window and the door.

      Kevin York it's called the a-pillar. and the cover has a special 2-stage clip at the top because of the airbag. if you are running wires up you don't need to remove it fully just pry the top until it pops out an inch and you can then feed your wires **behind the airbag**. you don't want anything to be began that airbag and your face of it needed to go off

    • @kevinyork4757

      Do you mean, I dont wan t the wires to be in front of the airbag, or it could hit my face if it goes off?

    • @DocsCustoms
      @DocsCustoms  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I mean if you were to get into an accident and the airbag deployed you don't want any wires between it and your face. they could impede it from opening properly. make sure to tuck the wires between the airbag and metal frame of the BBC a-pillar

      Hi Kevin, how did you end up wiring your dashcam? Did you take the power from the console in the roof? Ceers, Walter
