Rotator work ep 49 stuck in parking lot??

- We received a call from a customer stating that there driver had pulled into a lot that had not been plowed yet and had gotten the truck stuck but the driver was lying to his dispatch because he had failed to tell them that he drove over a large curb down into a ditch with a full 44k load in his trailer made for a long one man job

Extra pair of gloves and a pack of wet wipes, and a clean pee bottle kept in the glove box, sounds like a good idea, hahaa. This young man, the Johnnys driver, has a great work ethic. Really enjoy watching him work out a solution to a different rotator problem every time. Keep up the good work.

Hey Malachi, I don't know how McKays wrecker service came up on my TH-cam this morning... But I do watch a lot of wrecker and recovery sites (Midwest Trucks, Sumter Wrecking, Pepe's, Plaza) and love them all. Like Ron Pratt from Midwest Trucks always says, "There are many ways to get to 10: 9+1=10, 20 divided 2=10, 5 + 5 =10, etc...doesn't matter how you get there just so you get there." I really love that statement as you 'Rotator' guys show us all several ways to do a job and get it done. ANYWAYS, this video of 2018 got me to search and to see if you still post! HEY, you do!!!! Put me down for a new Subscriber with your 'bell' turned on! I like how real and humble you are...i.e. in this video you forgot your gloves, ya didn't hide it from us, said it was sure an amateur thing to do. I got a laugh out of when you said, "I got to pee so bad." ... (and that was towards the beginning of the hour + video) Malachi, you are real, humble, interesting, and a Good worker!

Idea,..... attach thin 1/8" cables or jack chain to your cotter pins on your out rigger arms so as to not lose them after they are pulled. Also paint them orange for easy way of seeing them in the snow and mud. That way they are still attached to the truck body and cant be left behind. Just a thought.

As they say any gob shit can steer a truck it takes a good man to drive one. We had one driver that drove through a hedge into a field and then drove across the field and into a ditch he said he thought he might get stuck if he turned around to where the gate was it saw nine thousand Euro to get the truck out of the field. By the way I live in Drogheda County Louth on the East coast of Ireland. I like your channel. Keep her lit.

Awesome job lachi ,I like that little gladhand patch job , No gloves i done it many times it makes your hands tough & sometimes catch a burr & cut the shit out of yourself, In the winter time you need to keep about 6 pairs , I see you were lifting pretty far out should of hooked that side puller to it lift & pull at the same time. Good show i love watching be safe.
Yes i agree that would have made it easier to get it closer i should have done that ya know one of those things u look back at and say man it could have been faster had i done that but next time thanks for watching
I like to keep a empty planters peanut jar around for a makeshift urinal and use the chain box door for privacy.
Keep 4 pair of gloves in the cab at all times then you have spares
This is as much a joke as a suggestion. Get a length of 3/4 pvc with a 45 elbow on one end. Drop the zipper. Shove it in, and relieve your bladder without the need to take the standard male leg spread position. Whatever works, is sometimes the best.

Nice job even though it was stuck pretty good it seem the driver really didn't know to much. By the way don't you have a remote for the controls also you should get a couple.extra pairs of gloves and keep in where the controls are at

Dont only have your gloves. Have a pair of spare gloves, which you treat as if they wheren´t there. So that they are there, when your gloves are not there. ;-)

So glad I was able to leave that world behind and retire. Sad day in America if this is all we have left out there to handle this type of vehicle. Worthless and Dangerous to the general public.

That look cold, brutal, and painful for your hands. I know when they lean it's kind of sketchy. I wouldn't worry about it too much because in order to roll that thing over you have to lift your truck up and over the end of your Outriggers for the truck rollover. You'd break something else before that happen like a cable or a hook a boom cylinder something.

malachi mckay yeah no problem I just wanted too help it used to scare me also when it leaned. But my best friend who had more experience than me explained the whole its not going to roll over thing.

So, The driver was deaf as well as blind. First he could not see where the plow had followed the exit curbs. Then he stood out of hearing range so you had to yell to get his attention. And, he had a young boy with him, which is illegal under most state and federal trucking rules. As his boss, I would have taken the to bill out of his pay for being stupid with my rig. What did his boss have to say when you got him on the phone? If you ease up on the large size Red Bull, your kidneys will not fail you when you get a chill. Just a thought. I take fluid pills for diabetes and gout. And, I know what it's like to be caught on public and have to go so bad it hurts. I carry a women's underwear pad sometimes. I an emergency, I can stuff it down my pants and leak into in until I get to a men's room. You did a very good job under stress. On thing about being me age (71) is, I would have used the chin locker door to stand behind and relieved myself. You lose certain bits of modesty with age. I did not see the snow mobile track across his path until you moved ahead to grab the front end. He must have driven over the curb in the early A.M. light to now have seen that and known there was a drain there.
Joe Postles toted my son all over US got stopped by dot several different states none had a problem with him in truck. Boss didn't either
That driver needs to look for another way to make a living....Driving does not suit him.

City guys i guess can’t operate on private property still could have given me a Lil pass thru sometimes you will get the guys that love to lend a helping hand then u get guys that don’t want to do a darn thing unless there being compensated
if he damaged something on the property or someones vehicle then he would have been in a lot of trouble with his job. I know it sucks but just if someone saw that truck plowing there and took a picture that guy plowing where he shouldn't then he would be screwed.

next time just run the chains on the other side of the air lines and cables instead of taking off the taped cable. also heavy duty straps would’ve worked well going under the trailer than chains. there’s a chance of damaging the trailer unless those are designed lifting points.

Snow plough driver was an asshole but the real winners are the drivers that got stuck... taped up airlines and you gotta repeat every request 3 or more times for them to comprehend... it scares me a little that I'm sharing the road with those drivers...

It is a lot of the time Freightliner but it could be because they are cheap so fleet company’s go with a cheap truck and driver in hopes it pays out sooner or later they have to reload with wrecker cost that it doesn’t pay to hire the driver that just got there license from a crack jack box

Jonnyonwheels it does have a side puller on it and you are rite i could have done that to pull it closer so then i could get a good lift i guess i opted to just use boom winches thanks for you’re advice and for watching

Yea that was one heck of a day my fault I totally forgot them behind or in another truck was no fun but my cables are well taken care of so there not bad but I’ll say they where cold as heck thanks again for watching

Hey ur a young man that needs a LOT OF MORE PRACTICE...bec bud u went in on that all wrong u could have pulled him out with just the cable and would have been out 20 mins...but u live listen and listen....the 3 L'S. NOW I HAVE RAN BIG TRUCK TOW trucks ok...every operator has there own way...but WHY wouldn't you let the truck do most of the work...like look at the scene assess it then grab a plan then execute it...and if u have to repositionin then do it. After u moved the 2nd time u should have just put the cable on and drove him out
undertaker131313 Welch he took the right approach. I too have ran heavy wrecker and if you have a rotator and can pick and lift to have no more additional damage to the landing gear or wind skirts then that should be the way you do it. Also gotta figure he is in pretty tight quarters to work in without getting himself stuck. You could hear the wrecker break lose more than once
Definitely unprepare rotator operator! There was hardly any communication with driver an it seems that he talked to himself most os the time! Job took too long!
