Conveniently missed the part where they bully the batchmates, hurl abuses at them, lack any sort of transparency, misuse their power to send separate resume for every company, have utter disregard for shortlisting criteria and even demand sexual favours(in extreme cases like IIM L). P.S. : They might be able to get into great companies but can't even name a single 'friend' from campus.
Thanks for sharing this. Can't believe the lengths B-schools go to, both internally and externally, to keep the world from knowing what placecommers actually do to students. There is no justification for their behaviour but students going through the process at the time can't really raise their voice against it because so much is at stake for them. It's even more saddening to see such TH-cam channels who can actually help influence change peddling propaganda and presenting biases that harm the batch as "perks" of being a placecommer. What a rotten system.
If they are asking for $exual favours then why isn't anyone filing a police complaint against them? Why are people so scared? Also, for someone like me who's acads are very poor, how would they behave with me?

Regarding the police complaint part, they have the power to debar students from the recruitment process and students spending 15-20 lacs for their degrees do not want to risk placements. So the cycle goes on.
It is fine that placecom put in hardwork and help institute get companies onboard. But recommending a candidate to a company in return for facilitating them. How can placecom members be morally justified since they are clearly misusing their duties.what is more strange is that host himself admitting this.
When did he mention that they are morally correct. And why do expect others to be morally correct. If you wanna swim faster, flap your hands harder buddy.

Bro, if you work 80% of the time in a day to bring different companies on-campus and essentially for the welfare of the students...you'd not get any time for self preparation. A little bit of laxing the rules for yourself would do no harm to anyone in the long run!

I have been a part of the placecomm of my UG engineering college which is one of the top 15 engg colleges in India. However I do not have a certificate as of now to validate. I have approached my college authorities and they will offer one however I am not sure when. Can I use this on my CV or I won't be able to mention about the placecomm thing?

If you want to get into the corporate world opt for CAT, if you want to get into civil services and work in the public sector choose UPSC. Obviously UPSC is more difficult than CAT so that should be factored in.
Bullshit! Placement committee is the most hardworking, ethical and honest team. They always try to do things which will be better for the campus. Easy for others to blame them. Don't make such controversial videos just to get more views!

They get good jobs because they play politics, abuse batchmates, and whatnot. You did not show us that side of the Placement Committee.

You need to do an MBA because you are from tier-3 college. So you must do your mba form top-10 b-schools.
