    Hello Maam. I am an engineer having 3.5 years of experience in a manufacturing company. Then I left my job of to prepare for UPSC. But I could not clear the exam. I have a gap of 1.5 years. Now I want to pursue MBA from ISB. Will this gap year be an disadvantage for my admission in ISB?

    Mam, currently in SBI as a PO for 8 months. Have earlier experience in IT sector of 23 months. Is this work experience good enough for a shortlist at ISB ? Can you tell me how candidates from public sector units/banks fare at the final placements and what are the roles they generally get?

      Yes good enough but you will need to speak about the impact of your work in essays. Shortlisting is done based on impact

    Thanks for sharing your experience, I am working in BSNL for more then 5 years and now I am thinking about pursuing executive MBA from ISB. Before starting my journey I went to some TIME to understand the process where I was told that after executive MBA I can work on my old firm only and as soon as I leave the firm this course will have no role to play, and in other B schools there is no placement kind of thing for executive MBA. Please guide and tell me what exactly happens, because I want to leave my current company and want to work in private sector.

      At 5 years u can also go for flagship MBA rather than the executive mba program. Which is much more costly too

    Hey can u tell me if isb offers investment banking or major finance roles as such cause according to Inside IIM site ISB is ranked 5th in best finance schools in India..

    • @InsiderGyaan
      @InsiderGyaan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are very few investment banking roles and never a big bulge one. Some boutique firms do come in sometimes. In finance, you can find good corporate finance roles though, or sales etc.in retail banks
