Great battle report! Spearhead looks like a ton of fun. Are there any pictures of that skaven army posted online somewhere? The paint scheme is really cool and whoever painted them did an amazing job! The stormcast also look incredible.
I'm wondering, what's your opinion about one thing I noticed after watching several battle reports: Why does the first round have a twist already that's just decided by a roll? It just seems wholly unnecessary, giving the player who wins the roll an advantage for no reason. It was not a problem in this game since the twist gave both players the same options, but I've watched a match where the twist was a big defensive bonus for only one player (the underdog) defending an objective, and the winner of the roll (who also went first) just picked the central objective and moved their units there, pretty much deciding the course of the entire game. Very unfair and in my opinion, this should be skipped until there is an underdog. Or the first round twists should all be like the one in this game, giving both players the same benefit if none are behind.
For the Great Horned one yes-yes! Let all Aqshy sink and scream-scream for the Vermindoom! Edit: Finished the video, thanks for another great batrep MWG team. Take care!
I hope the new models that come after this boxset for both the Stormcast and Skaven arn't just more boring hero's, and are monsters, dragons, battline units, and elite units like the newer giant-er rat ogre thing (can't remember the name), im already disappointed we got yet another hero revealed (the one with wings), like Gw just give us some dracontith battline units like Tempesters but have wings and no riders and come as a unit of 3!!!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, MORE DRACONITH UNITS!!!
Did you choose before starting the game to make decisions that would make the game closer and longer? There were a few “questionable” tactical decisions throughout the game, but if it was done to showcase the game more, I get it.
You give us more credit than we deserve! I usually need to smash my face into a game a few times before I understand all of the intricacies. This was us just throwing models around the board seeing what they're capable of!
35:50 shouldn't you roll the wards one at a time? Rolling all wards at the same time, you don't know how many wards should have been successfull before the 1 occured. Great game!
We thought about this as well, but with the recent change to the re-roll in 40k we thought it might be fine to apply fast dice rolling to this mechanic as well. Though I believe you would be more correct to roll the dice one at a time.
Spearheads are meant to be forces you can play right out of the spearhead/vanguard boxes. There is at least one for every faction except for Ironjawz at the moment.
This seems like a great way to knock out a few games in an afternoon if you don't have time to play a full game of AoS
You could knock one out between games too!
It is rather fast and addictive. Could teach a new player rather quickly with this format.

Love the paint jobs! Any nice pictures of the armies/techniques/paints used?
Would love to replicate the scheme
Well, I don't have a butt as my profile picture. But this should be an interesting watch. Love the bases!
The bases with the ancient greek quotes are just perfect!!
Insane video! Such quality! What is this music playing in the background guys? great choice!
Glad you enjoyed!
Faaaark me that looks awesome!! Paint tutorial please 🤘

It was a blast to record!
@lukapavicevic335 Glad to hear it!
12:20 there was a cut here that had me thinking it was the girl’s hand moving the tank. The arm hair made me double-take
So jealous AoS has way better skirmish rules than 40k. Very tempted to pick up some rats of my own.
I'm looking forward to more Spearhead

RAT DRAGONS, LETS GOOOOOO
I actually like these shorter game modes.

Another great video!
Those Skaven look great. Only thing that would look better is them on square bases 😜
Woah, GG.
Uh....seeming a little clunky but I will keep watching as it could be users getting the hang of the new game.
Clunky, or they just taught any non AOS player how to play the basic game,
Cool 👍

Do you guys think AoS better than 40k?
Yay!!:🎉
Great

🤩❤️🔥🙌
Is this a new format for the game or just how to play the starting box? Which costs how much?

Had a hard time finding the option to buy the stl for the bases. Am I missing something obvious?
They are here: miniwargamingforge.com/collections/bases?pf_pt_product_type=STL
@@miniwargaming Thank you. I appreciate the link. I will be be sure to pick some up very soon.
Anyone else looking at those stormcast with wings and thinking sanguinary guard conversions?
Too bad you won't be able to play ironjawz in spearhead.
RIGHT? I was surprised to see they didn't get any love.
These thumbnails are cringe!
Im not sure wich is the greatest fantasy miniature wargame, but AoS definitelly is not that game.
Why not
This just isn't a war game
Yeah, it's its own thing designed to be played in a short period of time. The full version of AoS is different.
What makes it not wargame then?
@bakuchidancer it's a boardgame with miniatures basically
