Another great review! I absolutely love Devinci bikes. My next big bike would probably be this or the Wreckoning. I went from a Django to a Following v3 and other than pedaling efficiency, the Django doesn't really give up a lot of the Following. In some ways I feel that the Django wanted to go faster when you cut it loose and the rear end felt soo much bigger than 120. However, I do like the support of the DELTA when you stand up and mash on the pedals. I would have to flip the swtich on the rear shock to get the same feeling on the Django.
Great reviews, thank you. Between the Spartan Range Spire Wreckoning For half whistler bike park and half peddal to decend, emphasis on decend what would be your pick? Flow, jumps and tech.
I'm starting to lose my frame of reference with so many long travel bikes with massive wheelbases and slack HTA being called playful, nimble and agile. Can we have some objective competitive comparisons between different style bikes? For example: which bike you can bunnyhop highest on, crush a rockgarden fastest on, make it through a tight slalom section fastest on, manages to get furthest on a slight uphill rhythm section without a chain installed, which is the highest drop/huck you're willing to take per bike etc? All things you can actually measure. Take bikes out of different categories or, if you wanna go radical, make this a standard part of every bike review. I'm lost.
I find that the shorter chainstay bikes give you more of a pivoting around the hips feeling. It's almost easier to keep tabs on where your rear wheel is. The spartan - even with the growing chainstay feels pretty lively in the rear end!
Hi mate would it be possible for you to review the 2021 transition patrol Mullet bike? I really think you are the best bike reviewer on TH-cam and I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Cheers Oliver 🙂
how is the Spartan compared to the Spire? Is one more playful, or more smashy? Also if this one is playfu,l which bike would you called more a straight liner?
Good review as always ! This new Spartan has a same geo than the Evil Wreckoning. Nice bike! Change of topic...Why do you never review Ibis bikes, like the Ripmo V2, for example? They are however very good bikes, and very popular...
Ok. I hadn't seen it! Thanks! On the other hand, it miss the Ripley af, the Ripmo V2, etc... In short, this is just a suggestion. Keep up your good work!😉
A high pivot should have an advantage on larger square edge hits, the trail in the vid was pretty smooth, looks fun but not exactly a demanding trail for today's enduro bikes.
Best bike reviewer on TH-cam, thanks again for another great review.
Even if I don't care about the specific bike, you know ya boy is watching every review! They're just so good
🙌
That intro music is haunting, and I never tire of it.
Holy Moly, look who finally woke up from their slumber!
Welcome back!
I bought this bike last week. I can't wait to shred some trails on it in the Spring! 🤟
Which version? I am also interested for this bike and I am between the Spartan and the Firebird.
@@ioannisparaskevopoulos1120 I got the GX 12S, the same one they showed in this video.
@@MisterCrazeyMonkey Great! Please give some feedback on how the bike rides, especially on the climbs, as soon as you get on the bike! Cheers!
@@ioannisparaskevopoulos1120 sure thing!
@@MisterCrazeyMonkey hey you should give him the feedback!
Man this video made me want to go ride. Thanks for the stoke.

You have posed of ton of these amazing reviews, but i have always wondered which one was YOUR fav > Following V2 ?
Great reviews, thank you.

Excellent review and riding. Thank you!
Once again great review. I will let you reviewers play with the high pivots...im going to stick w/ dw link :)
This bike features a split pivot also developed by Dave Weagle!
Which trail is this? Is beautiful.
Curious how you think this compares to other long travel 170mm bikes with short chainstays, like the Evil Wreckoning?
From the implications 'poppy, playful, easier to maneuver but maybe harder going on the up because it's so supple and heavy'.

Wat?
Does the short chainstay length make the bike playful? or is it just to make sure when the high pivot compresses the chainstay doesn’t grow too long?

How would you conspired the rear with say the slash 8? Different bike for sure. In two years everything hill be high pivot

Standard Grip damper in the chunky 38 and a Code RSC. Well spec'ed DeVinci. Rather have it that way than shiny suspension with a Guide R.
Geo seems extremely similar to the new Kona process 153, wonder how they compare.
Good review as always !

We have reviewed a Ibis in the past: th-cam.com/video/PWuMy25fHUQ/w-d-xo.html

Not sure if you were riding the Evil Insurgent MX, but if it was you, you seemed quicker and more playful on that bike, plus it was quieter
cause Evil's are sick!
Pivot Firebird maybe? Not that I can buy one anyway 😅.

If this is a large then the reach number(485mm) are wrong. Reach for large size is 465. 485 for XL.
465mm reach is on the medium. 485 is the reach for a Large frame in the LO setting.
@@freehubmag oh. my bad. I was looking at the aluminum version. The reach for a large in aluminum are 465.
@@paalbog Yeah the alu versions are still the older design(2018-2021) with different geo #'s
What's your LEAST favorite mountain bike you've ever ridden?
Apollo gradient. Its one of those cheap shitty halfords/walmart bikes
That's what tickles me. A futuristic look with a-lot of pivot points. Which calculates to a-lot of potential problems, beyond the TH-cam world.
omg
bike weighs 36+ pounds...would only buy it as a dh alternative or lived next to a bike park
Im a bmw headlight
Sounds pretty noisy to me
