- Ron Sexton is best known for Donnie Baker but voiced many other characters for our show. If you look through the Donnie Baker playlist on TH-cam, you'll see dozens of videos on-air and behind the scenes at the BOB & TOM Show. Whether on stage, on the air, in a promo for a local radio station, in front of a band, or just in conversation, much of what Ron said was improvised. We'd prompt him, and he would come up with something fantastic, usually in one take. We wanted to give you a glimpse of the immense talent we have been privileged to watch for over 20 years, and one we will greatly miss as his friends and coworkers.

Unbelievable talent. You take for granted that all these guys will just be a part of your day forever. I know they're human, the entire cast, but with as much negative news that goes on in the world every day, we all need to laugh. And Ron helped us all get our days off to a good start! We're all devastated. He was a staple of the show, but much like Tim, I'm 100% sure Ron would want the show to go on.
I'm heartbroken, the world has lost a great dude..I have a picture of Ron and me on the wall in my art studio above my table, so as i work I can look up and laugh, remembering us hanging out after a show in redding, ca.... my drive to work will now be a lot more longer.

I didn't know that he had died until I saw this video. Ron Sexton made me laugh for two decades. That's longer than most of my real-life relationships.This news made me incredibly sad. Prayers to his family and friends.

I genuinely didn't realize he did more roles than just Donnie Baker. This man was supremely talented and I am deeply sad that I didn't realize how much until now.

I still can’t believe he’s gone. I met him when he came to our little town and did a show. Then went out at our local bar and shut it down with us clowns. Stayed in character, but I got him to crack a few times. Devastating loss, condolences to his family, and his comedy family.

I had the great pleasure of seeing Ron's comedy live and then met him after the show. He was so gracious with his time, giving autographs and pictures to everyone who wanted them. The Lord must've needed a good laugh that only Ron could give him. Much love and respect to his wife and children, and to his extended Bob & Tom family. Thanks for all the laughs

I feel like I lost a family member! There is so much enjoyment that Ron brought to millions of people and the hurt of his loss is deep for many many of us! Worst of all, Zubaz (who has been hanging on by a thread) will now undoubtedly go out business for good! Swear to God, man!

Wow, I am blown away. I have listened to Bob and Tom for over 10 years and never knew who he really was. It is a very sad day, I lost 3 people, Donny Baker, Floyd the Trucker and Kenny Tarmac that I never realized were the same person. What a talent, he really made me believe and I am mourning all 3, Wow

I basically canceled any work today as I'm self-employed. I just wasn't in the mood to continue my day. This man made my mornings so much better with the voices and jokes. What a tremendous loss and I give my condolences to the family and to the show.

It’s amazing how Ron was able to completely change his vocal range to make his impersonations. His natural voice sounded much lower and deeper than that of Donnie Baker. Ron was hilarious. I’ve enjoyed his humor and videos for several years. I can’t believe he’s gone.

Thanks Ron for all the great laughs through the years - my wife and I often carpool and while I really enjoy the Bob and Tom show, my wife claims I grinned wider and laughed harder at Ron’s segments during the morning commute. I love ya man, God bless and prayers to your family.

I could be having the worst day, week, whatever. Listening to Donnie's perspective on current events always made me feel better. The river confessions where he was at some random body of water, the Ronda Rousey bit, bowling the perfect game, the boat videos, letter to Kid Rock, the list goes on and on. What a huge void this man's death will leave in so many lives. RIP Ron Sexton. State Law.
He was even more popular here in Central Indiana (he graduated from Beech Grove) and everytime he was back in town he was always doing something postive. Always had time for the fans and had no problem staying in character if that's what people wanted. Seeing him in Zubaz talking in his normal voice always seemed like Donnie was doing another character!! I hope after some time passes that maybe Bob and Tom can do a "Donnie Baker from Heaven" call in bit. It was so awesome to have basically a tribute show all day today. And you guys are right... who's gonna step up and fill that void?!?! Looking at you to step it up, Chic!!!

This loss has really hurt! I never met Ron but what a talent and so much heart. I'm going to miss all his updates and regret never seeing him perform live.
I'm the same here. I'm too busy with work and trying to sustain my livelihood. I missed out too. But we have many, many hours of catching up on a lot. He made my day. I forever am thankful for his humor and wit. REST IN ETERNAL PARADISE RON.

I found Bob and Tom when I moved to Meridian ID. Sadly, I couldn't get the show when I moved to Carson City Nv. Now this. I'm very sad as I thought his real name was Donnie Baker. Ron Sexton, an underrated comedian.

Ron is gonna be sorely missed, huge blow to the show too. I would have to think all of his characters, including Donny Baker and Kenny Tarmac, are officially retired. They have to be because no one else on the staff can do his characters quite like he did. He's irreplaceable.

Very, very sad news. I could be in a funk and he would come on the show and I was smiling the rest of the day. He would say things that made you laugh out loud. I can’t tell you all how many times I would be sitting at a stoplight laughing and people would just stare at me like I was loosing my mind. RIP Ron you will never be forgotten or replaced.
