  • On my second day in New Orleans, I have a breakfast of coffee and beignets at Café Du Monde next to Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Then I tour the historic St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, which has the grave of the voodoo queen Marie Laveau. After that, I have lunch at the award-winning Cajun restaurant, Cochon. Then I get coffee at Revelator Coffee Company. Next, I walk along the shore of the Mississippi River before exploring the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum. During the evening, I get a beer from the historic Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. Finally, I get a massive sandwich from Verti Marte, a popular market and deli.

    With those powdered sugared beignets and that saucy sandwich, it's a good thing you always take so many napkins!

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed! But that sandwich was so messy I needed a heavy-duty towel rather than napkins.

    Was in New Orleans with fam last week. We enjoyed Jackson Square, cathedral, and zoo. Walked down Bourbon and it’s nasty.

      Nice! Yeah, Bourbon Street is definitely not the best looking part of the city.

    The cemetery reminds me of my trip to Buenos Aires in Argentina. They also had a really beautiful cemetery that I visited with ticket purchase. Good video :)

    I think the Ghost Adventures team explored that VooDoo museum. Very haunted. Haha
    Anyway, love the review James. Brings me back to when I went there. I didn't like Cafe Du Monde but that Cochon looks like an amazing place to visit next time I go. Cheers :)
    PS: The only place I didn't feel guilty about going into a bar and grabbing a beer at 9 in the morning.

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! Well as far as I'm concerned a beer can qualify as breakfast. I mean it has calories and people sometimes call it liquid bread.
      Yeah, I wish I would've done a ghost tour or something of that nature during my stay. And yes, Cochon was a really nice restaurant. I would really like to go there again someday.

    How much was the voodoo museum?

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it was $10. It was pretty small and doesn't take long to go through, but for what it was, I thought it was a good museum.
