The fact you’ve cooked a new deck everyday for almost a month has opened my eyes to the depth it can have. Good stuff Mog can’t wait for the expansion to see you keep cooking more decks to play with.
I initially ran 2 Red Cards in my deck because I remember a role in the TCG where if you don’t draw a basic Pokémon to play, you have to reshuffle your deck and draw a new hand. Each time you have to redraw your opponent gets to draw an extra card before the match starts. Then I heard Pocket is programmed where you always draw at least one basic card.

Also regarding the yugioh player: I think many of us are TERRIBLE at deckbuilding, since it's not super intuitive in yugioh, which defaults a bit to think about card advantage. Hand ripping for a -1 in card advantage is not a great effect, but if you did that in a duel when going first, building a board and taking resources away from the opponent, it looks pretty decent because the starting board creates a lot of interaction and that effectively lowers the opponent's chance at winning. Sadly all this info transfers TERRIBLY into this game because decks aren't as consistent, and in this game you can get BAD hands, whereas in yugioh a -1 is usually a -1 of a good/decent card because they're basically all good, so the risk is waaay lower. In this game you just usually fix people's hands when you do that, and accumulating cards in hand usually means the opponent is fully bricked or they have the best tools in hand, but the risk of fixing the hand feels way higher than the reward of giving the opponent a worse hand.
