I stayed in pai for a month training my legs to cycle the mae Hong son loop. Lovely place. I got my passport photos done in the little shop you went to. There is a cool art gallery called baan pittalew up the road from the earth tone restaurant. I stayed there with a famous Thai artist who lives there called saard nilkong His work is brilliant. Worth a visit.

Great video. Thank you Ryan. Your friends are nice and creative too. The sign turned out great. The crooked road and scenery was awesome. Such a beautiful way of life in Thailand. I agree too with couples should keep balance and not lose their individuality. Time apart to touch base with self. Helps the relationship grow stronger and healthier without stifling the love.🙏🏻 Your travels are interesting.🤗 Enjoyed the music!

Great video Ryan. Lovely to see Pai again, it's been a long time since I've been there too! About 8 years ago i think. I'm not surprised it's changed a lot. Tourism has it's good and bad effects, doesn't it. I remember the twisty road to get there from Chiang Mai too. The people i was travelling with were all travel sick because of it!!! Apart from me. Luckily i don't get travel sick at all. But i love Pai, and it's great to see it's still full of character and natural beauty.

Thank you so much for this vlog Ryan. I am sure that Pai has changed a lot in 12 years. Great to see that you can still live in Bamboo even away from your house 🙂 Loved the fact that you could team up and play your saxophone, which is one of my favourite instruments. Also interested to meet that couple who have started their own little business and help them design their sign. I hope that their business will flourish especially as tourism picks up, although I must admit that I prefer Thailand without the mayhem caused by tourism. God bless you and keep you safe on you travels 🙏🙂

I was in Pai for the first time at the end of 2009 and the last time I was back was in 2018. I did visit a few times between those two times and I saw the place change gradually. I don't know how it is now after the pandemic. I imagine it's more aimed towards Thai tourists now? Lovely to see you help that lovely couple out with the sign and promoting their beautiful little shop . Both Alex and I used to volunteer as English teachers in a little village near Mae Hong Son and our students were from many of the different ethnic groups from Myanmar and Thailand. Thanks for sharing 😀 / Malin

That was just beautiful. I honestly look forward to your vlogs and I always enjoy the music you play. It is a must in any relationship to spend time apart and be your own person. If a couple spends all of their time with each other no matter how much they love each other they will run out of things to share and talk about.
Also being away from Otis gives him and you a chance to think about each other. When I was a kid in Ireland my Dad used to go to Manchester every now and again for a few weeks at a time for work. To this day I can see him plain as day with his head stuck out the train window when arriving home and it was and still is the best feeling in the world. Be well.

Gas water heater just like the one in "your" bathroom in most UK kitchens in the 40 / 50's and used in caravans everywhere made by the Nagoya Co (I think). Liked the sign for your friends shop definitely "in keeping". Only ever been to Chiang Mai and that road up to the mountain temple nearly had me spending the rest of my days there even though my friend warned me about the really bad curve! Gas shower is very common in other countries, saw it alot more 20-25 years ago in thai. In north india much more common hehe.... It's very effective though warms superfast. Less risk of electric shock to.... And bigger risk of explosion haha

I think there should be no problem at all in doing our own thing infact like you always say being apart makes the heart grow fonder. Giving n respecting space to each other is important in marriage
