I needed to make something like this for a SW: Legion board and i remembered you made this video. But when watching this it suddenly hit me that this video is like 2 years old and i can't help but think how fast time flies. 2 Years! It feels like i've watched this like just months ago, but apparently it has been years... I love the video, great craftsmanship as Always. But man where does the time go :-)
@@theDMsCraft yeah, it's crazy. I keep coming back to alot of your video's, even if i am not crafting, i just enjoy watching them 😉. You rule dm scotty!
Hey! I just found your channel! I'm a former DM looking to get into craftmaking, and your channel is absolutely amazing! Crazy informative, and surprisingly easy to learn. I'm excited to get started. Thanks!
@@theDMsCraft I've been taking a trip down memory land since YT has started popping your old vids in my recommended list, and boy has it been great to revisit all these old crafts!
This just makes me hope my players get through the current campaign quick so i can create a new one featuring this in a glorious boss fight! Really impressed with your work. I just recently found your channal and i am addicted to it! Very inspiring work sir. I only recently started creating tiles and props and couldn't have found a better sensei!
Great demonstration as to how game masters can utilize the textures and attachments on the tree to explain or accent the skill rolls. Well thought out Scotty!
Great job Scotty. The moss and vines really set it off. I spray most of my projects with a flat clear coat. it really helps hold all the flocking on and also keeps the paint from getting damages.
Just subscribed, I recently got back into D&D and I've raided the dollar store for stuff to make a whole bunch of custom props, I'm looking forward to checking out more of your material and so far I really think this is awesome. You have talent my friend
Hi Dm Scotty! Huge fan of all of your videos! I tried the paper towel techniques on a rock face I am making. It's taking forever to dry (more than a day.) Is there a way to speed up the drying process? Thank you in advance and keep on !
Thank you! :) Yeah I made the mistake of trying to use the hair drier and... well, that was dumb because it started flinging all of the towels away. LOL we learn from mistakes I guess XD. Thanks again!!!! And keep crafting! :)

Great idea. I really like how the piece is practical for gameplay and highly detailed.
Thanks, I have seen some really cool setups but then think...how are they ever going to get minis in/on that.
Great demonstration as to how game masters can utilize the textures and attachments on the tree to explain or accent the skill rolls. Well thought out Scotty!
Thanks so much.
Very cool craft sir! King Kong is one of my old time favorite movies back when i was a little kid :-). Love it.
A groundbreaking movie that opened the gate for many of our modern fantasy/sci-fi movies.
very true indeed :-)
Great job Scotty. The moss and vines really set it off.

Most of my stuff doesn't need spray....I am always looking for cost saving short cuts.
That looked great!
I remember in one of the fighting fantasy game books had a giant spider hiding in a log bridge
Perfect!

Add a touch of paint in to your glue to color the moss or what ever you need to color.
Dude you are awesome! I like so much your work. :D

I think you enjoy playing with your toys too much :p

@@theDMsCraft A little cork board and a bit of foam and i will make one up for him. It will just be a small service. Hahaha! Could not resist. ;)
@@JohnSmith-un9fy heh heh, awesome!
what paint you recommend for crafting??
Whatever you can get hold of easily and cheaply...I use acrylic craft paint.
What's the name of the lighter green you always use?
Leaf green
Where did you get that many pencil shavings
Just empty a electric pencil sharpener...I empty mine at work.
TheDMsCraft ok thx
if you don't have access to that many pencil shavings, I've seen other crafters use pet bedding.
Awesome man. Haven't watched all of your videos yet, but how did you do the ends of the chasm? The rocky parts I mean.

Put it in front of a fan or a heating vent in your house...will really speed up drying time.
