I have the kit for the picture that you have on your wall. The lady with the green dress. I've had it for about 20 years and i still haven't done it, but I love it!
This made me think....do I really need more patterns and more fabric? Don't I have enough? I don't want anyone to have to sort through it all. I will remember this when the urge to buy more stuff tells me I need to buy this or that or the other. There is a point where you have to say to yourself. Enough is enough already. I'm glad there are dear patient people like you, who will go though my old stuff someday and find some of it useful. Hope you make a lot from selling this stuff on EBay. God Bless you dear lady. Awesome collection of cross stitch projects, so many of old. I'm 74 yrs old and I remember many of these designs. Stitched some but now would like to stitch more. They remind me of better, simpler days. I am interested in the hopscotch material and any nativity and religious designs and or pattern sets. Enjoy the next step in the sorting journey. First time i came across your youtube channel. I think you found a hit. I laughed because i can see my kids selling my stash like someone did this ladies. Mine just has a lot more stamped quilting and less cross stitch as i only started cross stitching about 3 years ago. I have collected a lot of the vintage one piece quilts like you found close to the end. Actually am working on the one you showed. Live about 85 miles south of St Louis. Have half inch of ice from last weekend and now 6 inches of snow from yesterday.
I like what treasures you came across. Great video. Some of the different fabrics and kits are beautiful. My mom and girls always say that I have more than enough, lol. I just say I need a bigger house, lol. I love what I do and I do what I love. After I’m gone it can be someone else’s treasure like it is for me.
Oh my gosh, it reminds me of my house all my junk that I have which could be someone’s treasure. I have a lot of stuff boxed up that I keep saying I’m gonna try to sell and haven’t done it yet. Now it makes me wanna even get rid of more my family would die if they had to do this They’re all the time saying you have too much stuff but yet I keep on buying it. Have a great weekend not far from you. I’m down in the boot Hill.
@lauralei143 we should get together for lunch or thrift shopping sometime if your not to far. My driving is limited since a couple of small strokes but I still love to eat and thrift and chat about sewing 😊
Hi! I have stitched the Victorian house! The little ornament are finished using fabric stiffener and carefully cut out. Then put a magnet on the back. Also put a magnet behind the door of the house when finishing. Then you put the ornaments on the door as appropriate for the holiday!
Wow. Just the floss and fabric makes the buy worthwhile, moneywise. There are lots of kits that I am sure someone will like, though many are not my personal style. I wonder if there are folks still doing stamped cross stitch. I'm sure you will more than make your money back on e-bay, though I am not sure that I have the patience and organization skills to sell stuff on e-bay--I'd rather be cross-stitching!
@lisanevins3605 yes...I volunteer at my local food pantry and they have 3 shelves for donations ...so will enjoy seeing who gets my donations...especially some of the small kits
@lauralei143 I heard you mention that you volunteer at your food bank. That's wonderful! I know at my local food bank they sometimes have craft classes. I got my first cross stich for free when a friend gave it to me. It was Peter Rabbit one of my favorites! Thankyou for helping at your local food bank.
Most of the kits are not my style. I did stitch one of the Bucilla stocking kits in 1990. Those are great quality. The wood box is probably Sudbury House - those are nice for finishing.

@MichaelQPowell yes ...I am sorting floss now...at least 7 of the gallon totes are dmc! Haven't look closer at fabric yet
I'd be donating a bunch of that to local schools & let the kids use it.
