Great to see the poor old T91 radar at Staxton Wold getting out and about. It wasn’t well liked and the RAF gradually stopped spending money on it and then it was retired from service in favour of the T93 and T92.
Nobody seems very enthusiastic going about their work and this production was made well before the current butchery of our armed forces. Nice to see the Tornado ADV back in the air, I don't suppose they will ever fly again other than in model form.
Not long after this was made there was a series of redundancies throughout the military, an old school friend of mine was in the RAF at this time and was made redundant. Maybe these guys were ready seeing the writing on the wall.

I reckon that they filmed the scripted bits on a Friday afternoon, after the rest of the station had hit the road at 12.
Q jets forgot their missiles. They're going to be mortified when they realise.
