Idk if you heard it, but they said this game is a prequel to DOOM 2016, and DOOM Eternal, he was fast really fast in DOOM eternal and pretty fast in 2016 so DOOM guy got faster as the games went on I find that pretty cool and I wonder if this game will end right where DOOM 2016 begins
Still kinda floating on this given their treatment of Mick Gordon and they way they took absolutely no responsibility or even acknowledgment of it. Sure it'll be a good game, but there are more important things in life. And honestly, the frenetic coke-addled movement mechanics of DOOM: Eternal felt like the apex of what made it so intense, i don't know how slowing things down intentionally after that is a progression of gameplay, feels like retracting.
I'm glad they changed the gameplay up. It won't feel like a Doom Eternal DLC this way. I'm more of a fan of the old school grounded feel anyways. Eternal will always be there for the less flexible people.
this game feels like they took all the cool visual aspects of eternal and upgraded them, but at the cost of the actual gameplay being less interesting. more frosting, less cake
Separate the asshole from the project buddy.. it was Marty that was responsible for that shit, don't blame Hugo and the rest of the crew for that, Mick doesn't.

Fun fact: Doom 2016 released on May 13th 2016, (it's really close to the release date for the dark ages by 2 days, so I'm counting it. Lol) 9 years later we finally get to see what happens between the events of Doom 64 (which is cannon) and 2016 when Doom guy turns into Doom slayer, I'm HYPED! :D
Day 5 of asking Ken and Bethany to react to the indie, fanmade animated shorts for Donkey Kong Country called "Pirate's Scorn" and "Tip the Scale" by Alex Henderson Animation. These musicals are genuinely some of the best fanmade content that I've seen on TH-cam, with full voice acting mostly by the former cast of an old Donkey Kong Country cartoon, and one could say animation amazing enough to rival studio-production. So many people poured their heart and soul into these animated shorts, and you can definitely feel the love and passion in this project, even if one is not entirely well-versed on the games. I think it would be right up your alley.

I know GTA 6 drops this year, but doom the dark ages is definitely my most anticipated game for this year. Eternal was a masterpiece. Literally one of the best games I’ve ever played

I just recently started playing Doom 2016 again after playing it in like 2019 or something and rage quitting, did the same thing with eternal, but now that I consider myself a better gamer I’m gonna try to beat both before Dark ages releases.
I did not like the feel or gameplay of Eternal where you had to stop and be precise to kill enemies as one of the big rules of doom is "if you stop moving you are gonna die" So I hope this game being a prequel to 2016 means it plays like 2016 as that is my fav FPS of the last decade. Oh and having the ability to play with one gun for the whole game would be nice too hated how little ammo you could have in Eternal and how I was constantly running out of it edit: 11:25 The guy who did both game's soundtrack from before was fired/screwed over by the devs so this new "finishing move" team has a lot to prove

Doom: The Dark Ages might be the only game I actually preorder this year. I’ve been waiting five years for this game. Also, new Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer for y’all to watch, I’m sure you’re gonna like it.
My one problem with doom the dark ages is it seems like it has raytracing by default and my pc is not built for it without it sounding like a jet engine, so i really hope this games optimized cause i really want to get it. im very exciting to see how it turns out either way

Honestly wish more games did those accessibility options. I only really see it in indie games and CRPGs. Sucks no Mick though but really I wouldn't except him to come back after the whole Eternal thing.
I don’t know if you guys are gonna ever get to DOOM Eternal before this game comes out, but in case you do, I’d advise you to not read any of the History of the Sentinels lore entries as that’s when the new game takes place (making it a prequel to DOOM (2016) and a sequel to DOOM 64).
Everything looks amazing and i believe this game might get game of the year but one thing that bothers me to this day is how they treated the original creator of the DOOM 2016 and Eternal’s soundtrack Mick Gordon. The fact they didn’t bring him back but they never paid him for doom eternal. And to this day we don’t have an official soundtrack of Doom Eternal to download or have on vinyl record. Very disappointed with id and Bethesda on that part.
@@clarkestomps There isn’t exactly a “they” in this situation as it was just Marty Stratton that was being a dick to him. Unfortunately, Marty is so integral to ID Software that I just don’t think they’d be able to get rid of him without seriously fucking up their game development process.
What? Doom 3 wasn't Doom. Its a good game but lets not kid ourselves and say that its an actual Doom game. Also, the last two didn't flop and neither will this one.
I really like that they made the pacing a bit slower I personally couldn’t keep up with eternals speed but I still enjoyed it and I can’t wait to feel like a iron tank eating attacks
