Rest In Peace Mr. Kormendy,, you'll definitely be missed! I thank you much for all the wisdom you gave, my 1st pellet rifle a Benjamin Prowler .22 incredible accuracy!!. Thank You!.
I like this guy. Shame to see by the comments that he has passed on. Here’s my 2p, no one ever started in this hobby with a $2500 PCP custom air rifle being their first airgun. Most started out with a Red Rider, crossman combo bb/pellet, or some other inexspensive unit from Sears, Kmart, Walmart, or the local General Store. Don’t sleep on the Walmart guns. Some of them are very fine and reliable shooters. Big money doesn’t always mean “must buy.” I love that Kenny told it like it is and wasn’t one of these airsnobs. RIP Brother.

Great job Sir! I bought this rifle about a year ago for pest control on my dock. I installed a BSA 30 mm red dot. The gun has performed flawlessly. I too enjoy shooting it a lot. Thank You!
@@jeremyblackwater439 Checking out air gun vids to make a first time air gun purchase. I didn't realize the year this vid was posted, but heard him mention his cancer. That sucks to hear. I thank him for the informative and helpful air gun videos he posted. May he rest in peace and his soul and spirit live on through his videos and the people whose hearts he touched.
I have had a Prowler.22 for three years. And Kenny you are right about this air rifle it's the best it make some $200 riles look bad. Mine shoots only crosman .22 pellets the best. At 25 yards 5 shots dime to quarter size shots. At 60 yards hit tin cans with it at right conditions. It really is a great rifle for the cost. Thanks for a review about it.
I am so sorry to hear the bad news I hope the family is doing good and I will still enjoy all his videos if they keep them up on TH-cam for him so he could keep living on through his videos thank you for all the videos that you made rest in peace

I bought the $98.00 Prowler at Walmart last Christmas. Changed out the scope with a Tasco 3-9x40 and did the bearing trigger job. This inexpensive air rifle feels like a well made air rifle and is a pleasure to shoot.
Thank you Kenny!! Was getting ready to order the Crosman Phantom when I saw your review of the Prowler. Saw it at Wal-Mart for $67.99. 😨 I went and got it and mounted my Barska 3x9x40 scope. Holy smokes this rifle is deadly accurate. So, thank you SO much for saving me money and getting me a kick butt rifle. God bless you. I'm praying for you buddy. 🙏 Take care! Your friend Paul.
I concur! I have this very same set up, except in .177 and with BARSKA 3-12x40 AO Airgun, Black Matte, Mil-Dot which is $60 on Amazon. This combo is the best pellet rifle for the money. I have Hatsans, Weihrauch, Stoegers, Daisy, Crosmans, and Remington airguns and still take this set up in the field for squirrel hunting probably more than the others. One airgun I bought that gives the combo a run for the money is a Xisico XS-25 SFB in .22 I purchased from Flyingdragonairrifles.org. It was $70 even shipped and no tax and not "tuned". It shoots great too. Thanks for the review Kenny!

Thanks Kenny! I have this rifle myself. Picked it up from Airgundepot for 80$ and I can split walnuts off a fence post pretty consistently at 35-40 yards with this rifle. Great review sir!
Just got my Prowler at Walmart about 4 hours ago per your recommendation. We have several Walmarts to choose from within a 20 mile radius, but I got the last one in the store I went to. Looking forward to using it now that spring is here. We have an abundance of ground squirrels (pot guts) in our woods, fields and sagebrush, plus the racoons are plentiful and obnoxious. I love getting good results from very little cost. Thanks and best wishes.
I understand Walmart will match prices with the online site, eliminating shipping time. You'll want to double check with your local Walmarts to ensure they do. I hope that will add more convenience for everyone.
Excellent review Kenny. I've been researching to purchase a .22 rifle and this rifle was on my short list. Thanks to this review, I'll be picking one up at Walmart tomorrow.
Hi I hope you're well it's funny the last two rifles you review I purchased at the same time and I'm getting the same results though I only use Crosman pellets I'm both the One-77 and the 22 I also upgraded the scope on the Crosman but I follow your recommendations and purchase the cvlife scope and I'm very happy with your recommendations so far the 2 rifles I'll be shooting great the Gamo seems a little loud but other than that more than I thought I could ever get for around $100 each

I like your matter of fact, knowledgeable approach to a favorite hobby of mine. Finding large caliber guns here is difficult so I made my own .311 caliber and it shoots a 5/16 ball bearing or home made bullet quite hard on just one pump. I am having leaking issues so I cannot test it accurately but it is similar in penetration to a 22 breakdown with the first pump. It is meant to deliver 1,000 psi per pump and max out probably at 3 pumps due to the limitations of the hammer and brass parts. A 30 caliber hole, however is much more impressive than a 22 cal. so I am happy. If you have been looking up cures for cancer I hope you have come accross Vitamin D3, the body's natural tool, then B17, mega doses of C and the best suppliment I have heard of for fighting it off is cannibis oil. Legal to buy in health food stores. I hope you come through okay. I think your spread readings may be due to dieseling in the back of the pellet due to the natural amount of oil and grease that the new guns are packed with. Once the gun is kind of dry it will even out to shoot more consistent. Dieseling increases the velocity quite a bit and these heavy guns can take it okay. A man used vaseline or Vicks Vapor rub to speed his pellets up and the amount put in the back can thus be measured out consistently, and so perhaps they can shoot consistently as well.
I'm glad you review this rifle I don't have a crony and I knew it was something special for the money I paid I didn't like the scope either only scope they had at Walmart was the Simmons 22 Mag 4 by 32 it's better than the center point fired about 1,000 pellets through it so far it's just getting better great review thank you
Cancer is a disease Yahoshua bore stripes on his back to heal. Please seek praying elders who will lay hands on you to pray the prayer of faith. Great gun review. I may have to get one of these .22 pellet rifles if the groundhogs come back unless there is a better one for groundhogs.
hey i went ahead and ordered two of,,them,,,,,thanks for the video,,,,and the reply the other day,,,,last time i shot one i was a kid,,,,but i think ill have fun with it,,
Fish & Liquior yes you will.. I find it funner now a days too hunt rabbit's with my benjamin prowler rather than a 22lr or 12gauge.. its more exciting when you take one down with an air rifle! I hope you enjoy it!
TH-cam in all around this have to have something to grave about all legal rates and anything to do with a gun enjoy your show very much I really learned a lot from mount ball to Aragon world from you I want to things firstly for that
I just tried to buy one after watching your Video. The Benjamin Prowler 22cal pellet rifle is no longer available at Walmart. I guess the deal was too good. I am bummed out.
Dick's has a Remington Express Hunter Pellet Gun .22 cal. Nitro Mag gas piston system that I'm thinking of buying. Walmart has the Crosman CPNP22SX Phantom NP Nitro Piston .22-Caliber. Witch one should I get.?
Now my Walmart in Sierra Vista, Arizona has two Prowlers in stock as of 5-23-18. They also have two of the new F-4's in .177 and I'm getting one of them, $79. What's new about them! They have a new pistol grip stock that looks really comfy. We'll see if the trigger is a little better also.
Hell yeah that's a good scope I got one on my Marlin Model 60 what's 18 shot 22 inch barrel and I love that damn scope for how cheap it was on my 177 air rifle I got a 2 by 7 by 20 mm Tasco scope on it and that thing is deadly
After watching your tape last night I went to shop for a pellet rifle. I ended up buying a Crossman Slayer the total bill $78. I brought it home zero it in and it shoots @ 30 yd nickle size groups.
I do not run an add blocker on your channel. I hope that helps. I notices some channels are asking their subscribers to turn off You tube add blockers.

I watched your and Bret's reviews on this air gun and tried to order one only to find Walmart seems to be under the impression that Michigan has some restrictions on air guns even though they SELL them in my local store... Wally Worlds Idiots cannot figure out that Michigan amended the restrictions on air guns in 2015! and Pyramidair, AirGun Depot and others ship to me no problem... Went ahead and ordered one to pick up in a Toledo, Ohio store rather a drive but WTF! Here's hoping I get a good one !!
Sorry to hear that Kenny has passed on. I trusted his opinion on this gun but found the gun to be not very accurate at all with the include scope. I realize he said to buy the Barska scope. But, I thought it would be ok for a little while. Very disappointing. The thing kicks like a mule and it tore the heck out of my sheets of plywood my targets were on. So, he wasn't kidding about the power. I guess I'll have to try his advice on the scope.
Hey Mr. Kormendy. First off, I hope your health improves and that you have a swift and complete recovery. Secondly, thanks for the channel and this review. Love learning more about airguns, etc.. and enjoy your thorough and objective reviews. If you don't mind, I have a few questions. Regarding this particular review, how do you feel the Hatsan Edge Vortex holds up against the Prowler? My primary reason for liking the Hatsan is the open sights, shorter length and lighter weight. I see that you refer a lot of people to the Umarex Octane in the low cost ultra magnum range. Given that the Hatsan Sniper 125 (spring version) can be had for around $250 on Amazon, do you still stand by that recommendation? Thanks!
Is it possible to post the part and model number of the scope, Walmart lists several different 3-9X32 Barska models. Thank you for your awesome videos!
I am taking your word for it and ordered the Prowler .22 from Amazon. Did not see any discount on Walmarts site. $98.00 from Amazon. Got the gun and the H&N pellets. Set a target at about 11yards. Bulls eye. Great gun and scope(Barska that is).
myairgunreviews that's awesome especially for a gun that low priced!!!! Keep up the amazing work Kenny, proud to have you in the air gun community. I'm just starting out making my videos/channel and hope TH-cam figures out airguns are not the enemy! Thank you Kenny!
Great video. What do you recommend me using against large backyard pests? no pump action, CO2 or PCP would be my first option and the type of pellets to use? Thanks
Long as it not a hog nor deer >> coyotes rabbits squirrels, coon YES The F4 is very heavy, long, single shot, and hard to cock. Other than that A GREAT RIFLE,, I think the 1077 is more fun, ITs Light, Short, very powerful and accurate . In the 12 SHOT REPEATER , NO COCKING, NOR PUMPING! A must to get away from the weak 12g. Co2 cartridges Go a bigger Co2 Tank or HPA Tanks to cut the cost of filling Co2
Hello, great info and video. You explain things very well. I'm wanting to get back into hunting small game and I was wondering if you can point me to an air rifle and pellet type for beginners. Thank you
my walmart didn't have any, i went with a benjamin prowler. looking at the box they're probably the same, mine says it also shoots 1100 fps, and is 3x quiter
Everybody complains about the accuracy of this rifle. Most springers have some barrel droop. You have to shim the scope or get a compensating scope mout.
Kenny, can you tell me if there is anything holding the action to the stock at the rear ? Someone posted a review saying that the only thing holding the action to the stock was the two forward screws, and that the action began to pivot during cocking. I can't imagine them not having a screw behind the trigger but figured I'd ask to be sure. Thanks
I am buying this set up. Thank You sir. Does anyone know what is the effective killing range (rabbit) with a lead free pellet?. I will be hunting small game with jack rabbits being the biggest. Thank you. ***I'm so sorry..I did not know this man passed. Condolences to the family.
Taco, takes only 2 fpe to kill a rabbit. You'll need to weight the pellets and chronograph them, then use an fpe calculator (Google them) to figure the fpe. Then shoot thru the chronograph at 50 amd 100 yards, do thr math again. It tskes 2 fpe on the rabbit. Thats why i say shoot at distance.
would love to know how you ordered it for 69.99 when i checked it was 98 dollars darn did i miss the sale? but it still says its on clearance but its much more than 69.99.
Just found your site. Nice review. Do you ever measure sound levels? I'm wondering what the diff in noise is between this and the RedTail (I have neighbors). thx
Is the Benjamin Prowler consider a magnum and one thing I didn't seen your review on the prowler is it has a place where you could add a sling adapter on the stock if you look very close it's removable
I noticed on your rifle rack behind you all those air rifles. Is the middle one a hatsan 155 torpedo? If so can you make a review on that under lever? It would be nice to see if it is as accurate and able to produce 31 fpe as advertised.
After watching this i jumped on the gun and will upgrade the scope after trying it out. I'm waiting for it to show up but i cant help but to wonder if the trigger group is the same as the one you have a video on and modded it to be nice and light/easy.... So for my question have you since this video gone in and modded this trigger? If so is it the same or close to it?

RIP Kenny
💗
hey i went ahead and ordered two of,,them,,,,,thanks for the video,,,,and the reply the other day,,,,last time i shot one i was a kid,,,,but i think ill have fun with it,,
Fish & Liquior yes you will.. I find it funner now a days too hunt rabbit's with my benjamin prowler rather than a 22lr or 12gauge.. its more exciting when you take one down with an air rifle! I hope you enjoy it!
TH-cam in all around this have to have something to grave about all legal rates and anything to do with a gun enjoy your show very much I really learned a lot from mount ball to Aragon world from you I want to things firstly for that
Thank you, keep it clean
I just tried to buy one after watching your Video. The Benjamin Prowler 22cal pellet rifle is no longer available at Walmart. I guess the deal was too good. I am bummed out.
Ken Lamp go to dicks sporting goods they have all varieties of air rifles
Thanks, I'll check them out.
Dick's has a Remington Express Hunter Pellet Gun .22 cal. Nitro Mag gas piston system that I'm thinking of buying. Walmart has the Crosman CPNP22SX Phantom NP Nitro Piston .22-Caliber. Witch one should I get.?
My Walmart here in Sierra Vista, Arizona still has three on the shelf. If you want one I'm sure they can ship it to you. Call them.
That scope is awesome, i agree. Tasco impressed me. 17 bucks i think it cost me
RIP bro
After watching your tape last night I went to shop for a pellet rifle. I ended up buying a Crossman Slayer the total bill $78. I brought it home zero it in and it shoots @ 30 yd nickle size groups.
I do not run an add blocker on your channel. I hope that helps. I notices some channels are asking their subscribers to turn off You tube add blockers.
yet another good video sir. i just found your channel, commented on another earlier video. i am sad to hear your cancer diagnosis...i hope you are doing well. i may have cancer myself, won't know until next week (from this posting) what all the tests have to say about me. i have subscribed to your channel, and will follow along. good luck to you and yours.
carry on.
Kenny good vidoes my pall one day i'll plink with you to. Thank you my friend and teacher
Donald Goldsmith Pennsylvania also. I think Wal-Mart is scared so they aren't shipping anywhere.
Great job sir
This was a very informational video thanks!
Thanks!
The Edge is a good rifle. $250 is too much for the Octane. It's $199.99 at Pyramyd Air. (Free Shipping)
Is it possible to get your pellet test data on this gun? Thanks Kenny
Just pause the video at that point of the video and copy it.
I lucked out, clearance $30 Walmart Buckeye, AZ...
Right on, man!
That's my store, I live in buckeye. That was a helluva deal you got! How do you like it so far?
I hope TH-cam stops deleting and striking in the other channels and yours
Is it possible to post the part and model number of the scope, Walmart lists several different 3-9X32 Barska models. Thank you for your awesome videos!

Kenny, thank you for the wonderful video and scope information. At (61) sixty one years old, this will be my first air rifle!
I am taking your word for it and ordered the Prowler .22 from Amazon. Did not see any discount on Walmarts site. $98.00 from Amazon. Got the gun and the H&N pellets. Set a target at about 11yards. Bulls eye. Great gun and scope(Barska that is).
Hey Kenny is the gun hold sensitive?
I just held it tight to my shoulder with my trigger hand and a medium grip grip with the other.
myairgunreviews that's awesome especially for a gun that low priced!!!! Keep up the amazing work Kenny, proud to have you in the air gun community. I'm just starting out making my videos/channel and hope TH-cam figures out airguns are not the enemy! Thank you Kenny!
Walmart in my state hasn't sold guns since the 90's
what state is that?
RIP Kenny, I know your Shooting your air-guns in HEAVEN,!!!!!!..
Thank you for your kind reply.......
Thank you
I'm sorry my Dad Kenny gas passed away from Cancer Aug. 30th.
Its $104 now
my walmart didn't have any, i went with a benjamin prowler. looking at the box they're probably the same, mine says it also shoots 1100 fps, and is 3x quiter
@@schlomoshekelstein908 How do you like it? Are you happy with the purchase?
Everybody complains about the accuracy of this rifle. Most springers have some barrel droop. You have to shim the scope or get a compensating scope mout.
Kenny, can you tell me if there is anything holding the action to the stock at the rear ?
Someone posted a review saying that the only thing holding the action to the stock was the two forward screws, and that the action began to pivot during cocking. I can't imagine them not having a screw behind the trigger but figured I'd ask to be sure. Thanks
Big Screw Behind The Trigger.
Thanks, I figured there was.
I put lock tight on my set screws and eliminated the problem of the screws coming loose while shooting.
I am buying this set up. Thank You sir. Does anyone know what is the effective killing range (rabbit) with a lead free pellet?. I will be hunting small game with jack rabbits being the biggest.
Thank you.
***I'm so sorry..I did not know this man passed. Condolences to the family.
Thank you 💗
Taco, takes only 2 fpe to kill a rabbit. You'll need to weight the pellets and chronograph them, then use an fpe calculator (Google them) to figure the fpe. Then shoot thru the chronograph at 50 amd 100 yards, do thr math again. It tskes 2 fpe on the rabbit. Thats why i say shoot at distance.
what are your thoughts on the umarex gauntlet ?? have their issues gotten any better in your opinion
I have not tested this one yet.
You should put descriptions and links of what you’re talking about in the video information so we don’t have rewind
would love to know how you ordered it for 69.99 when i checked it was 98 dollars darn did i miss the sale? but it still says its on clearance but its much more than 69.99.
He passed away in sorry
Just found your site. Nice review. Do you ever measure sound levels? I'm wondering what the diff in noise is between
this and the RedTail (I have neighbors). thx
Both guns about 89 db.
God bless you!
That will be coming up in the not too distant future. I've only shot a couple over the chrony but 1st round produced 28FPE.
There was no need to mod this one.
myairgunreviews cool thank you Kenny
just got it today and your right that trigger is good the way it is, i find that it feels odd but its easy to learn it.
