You can still get IT which is having an average package of 14 lakhs. People from Electrical got placed in tech giants like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft. So even you're getting these branches you can still be a part of JU.

Reservation is not a big deal here.. here the cutoff will surely go down..as last year about 1 lakh students appeared for wbjee this year only 55000 and question was definately much much harder than last few years

Depends on your interest. You will get good jobs in any domain if you are a good student, that is not the main criterion for selecting branch.
