Hi, When can I move my weaver ant colony to a new testube? How many workers should there be before I move them? Because their current testube is getting dirty because of leftover grasshopper leg and head.

africa has weaver ants there are only 2 weaver ant species in the whole word maybe more but so far these are the only one discovered africa houses one of those species: Oecophylla longinoda
Do I need an ant farm with cocoon made out of leaves inside for the weaver ant colony or just any ordinary ant farm will do trick? They are my first pick for ant pet since there are so many weaver ant colonies at my backyard and I’m also a beginner for this kind of hobby
I recommend a special weaver ant formicarium. Keep them in a testube until they have around 40 to 50 workers, and then upgrade to the special formicarium (which has to have substrate and a small tree of sorts) Oh, and a normal formicarium could theoretically work, but i wouldn't

Polygynous doesn't mean that they have more than one nest. It means they can have multiple queens
