It wasn’t easy but watching you do it and show each step and tools, made me feel more confident that I could give it a shot! I did and was successful! I’m a single mom of 2 kids while FT living and this is a huge win for me. 🥳🍻🏆
I just want to thank you so much for your video!!! I'm a single mom of 3 (one grown living her own life, 2 still at home with me), that full times. We have a tight budget and when our generator went out the day of our big cross country road trip- I freaked out a bit. I paid $100 for a diagnostic and found out its the fuel pump, got a quote of 488.38 to fix it, which seriously cuts into our gas budget for the trip (that's basically one fill up!) My cousin and I watched your video, and he found the part on Amazon and ordered it for under $30. He is going to help me change it this weekend thanks to your video- you saved me $400!!! I am even tempted to try it myself, so I know how to do it in the future since its just me and the two littles when out on the road!

What's the lube you used to connect the fuel pump? (RTB?) Also, did you have to disconnect any wires to prevent from shock? Lastly, how much was the fuel pump
I am going to attempt this on my old RV because I cannot find help here. Will this method apply to a Collier pump? I have a 96 Georgie Boy Pursuit. Thanks!

Curious what the symptoms were That made you diagnose needing a new fuel pump? My fuel pump seems to work for 20 minutes and then stops. I've replaced them and the problem continues. Are these just bad fuel pumps? Is there something else?
Using a multimeter, check for power at the pump wires when you prime the system. If there is power but the pump isn't pumping, you need a pump. I can make another video for this if needed!

Bahhaha believe it or not I have replaced the head gaskets on an '87 Subaru wagon. In my apartment parking lot. It did not take 5 minutes. LOL

How did the find the comparable pump on Amazon? I searched my onan part number and don’t see an Exact replacement
Simply search "Onan QG5500 fuel pump". There will be several Chinese brands to choose from. I used Waterwich on the last one.
