Hopefully, you're not using Preseason as part of the 4 months. The Rank queue warps profoundly because the motivations of the players change, so it really undermines the challenge itself. The lessons are still useful, though.

Great content as always, but slight note: Viktor e is always on quick cast with indicator, because it needs a defined direction. You can always see its range, even in pure quick cast.
3:00 he was also right on top of him.. when ur right on top of them you don't really even need the slow, if u just click on top of them, it should land every time. like melee range anyways for sure.. they can dodge if they are about 300 yards out though.. that's about.. half the distance of a ranged champion, but they'd have to dodge it perfectly. it's really difficult to dodge skillshots the closer you are to someone..
If u are literally on top of them instead of close range, it becomes easier to dodge since your radial velocity increases the closer you get, implying that you are trying to dodge instead of auto-attacking. (You are probably aware of that. I just wanted to point that out for people reading the comments)

Finding this series extremely helpful! Been watching these on release and aced the "Do You Know the Basics of Mid Lane? (Skill Test)" the other day! I usually have the highest cs on my team now and feel confident deciding where to go after laning phase, which was always a struggle for me! Now I just need to handle my ranked anxiety so I can play and climb. xD Thanks, guys!

It would be nice to see a similar guide with Nama but with the current items. I think it would show how the pro's are adapting to the new item metas and also give users a taste of the coaching with the new items as we are all figuring out what works and what does not.

Refine your macro, review your build path, and itemization. Allow yourself the ability to carry through good decision making. You cannot do any of that if you're too busy typing how much you hate your teammates. And, if you're really struggling after all that; play a new role. But in all seriousness, have fun. Because it isnt worth doing if you're not enjoying it.

Have a few things in mind and repeat them in your head. Thing is, you can't implement everything all at once, but little by little, by focusing on a couple of aspects at one time you'll improve. e. g. You want to improve your map awarness, you take note, "Look at the map before you trade. Find out if it's save to trade. If it is you proceed if it's not you stop". What I'm is you find a lot of useful knowledge but you need time to internalize it, and you need to apply it in chunks.
Try to main jungle, it forces you to never stop thinking and making decisions, it's the most mental role, if you stop thinking for 10 seconds you can potentially make a really bad decision. Also it has no boring gameplay like last hitting that makes your brain go numb... I literally was like you, I could never make myself take good decisions because at some point I would stop thinking, but then I tried to main jungle, watched some high elo players like kingstix (his commentary helps a lot) and it kinda forced me to never stop thinking about every little decision I could make, and now I look like a smurf, I think my IQ increased and everything xD The most difficult thing is having a game plan and getting it ruined or twisted by the enemy's actions and then create a new solid game plan or adapt your game plan out of reaction, but that comes with practice really. Always remember this is a strategy game, if you don't like strategy games don't play ranked and have fun in normals.

@@zena2239 In that case that's no problem, rankeds are not for everyone, some people is ok with just playing normals with friends, but you are not watching this video and commenting on it because you are like that, are you?... I play since season 2 and I just got good at the game last season lol, by experience in gold elo I can tell you the only way to climb consistently is to know your advantages and be as aggressive as possible with it, if you are passive you can't unbalance the game unless your pick really counter theirs in late game (picks matter too, even challenger players can't pick what they want and win some times)... Climbing as support is the most difficult way I think, if you are low elo you will be supporting bad players most of the times and that makes no sense... That's kinda what forced me to go main jungle, I don't like having to concentrate to do something as boring as last hitting as mid/adc/top constantly, and playing supp was driving me crazy because I depended on my team. It took me like 5 months to adapt and fully understand jungle just by playing casually and trying to improve, but it was a fun process, I learned a lot of things I could bring to other roles and I was getting better and better... Also if you think about it, jungle is the ultimate support role, you gank and make people stronger, help in wave control, you have to track the enemy jungler and ping where they might be and what they might do, you counter gank, counter jungle, you secure the objectives, cover lanes, defend towers, help break enemy towers, help with map control... I played passive before but now I understand that was due to me not understanding the capabilities of the enemies and my champion, when you start spamming games and testing limits with the intention of improving, you will know how much damage and what every champion is capable of and you can exploit that knowledge and play aggressive with no doubts... if you never test limits, you won't know what you can and can't do... that's all I did, test limits, int, and learn what the right way of doing it is, eventually... What I'm trying to say is, it's not a matter of personality most of the times.
Focus on objectives and REASONS to fight rather than just fighting around wolves for no reason. The only time you should take a random fight is if you have a tremendous vision advantage and can hit an easy cc one shot on one or more.
I can say that the whole - don't think so much about it is HUGE. As someone who is still learning a lot, its actually hilarious for my friends to play with me because people miss their skillshots ON me because they think I'm going to move a certain way and I don't. Happens all the time, and I beat higher level players all the time because they're overthinking what I do.

So big take things to take from this are: 1. When you slowed your opponent via an item, or skill you can just literally click on them with your skill shot it should lane 2. People will always go in the opposite direction that you are coming from, obviously, naturally, so for that example in the baron pit, if Nama just ult and moved in front of the Syndra, the Syndra would've went the other way to a more tighter location 3. The more you click and the closer to your character, the more control you have, mostly used when your in an intense situation so that you don't get hit by skill shots and etc 4. Think ahead about what can happen and react accordingly, ex. Ahri & Lee Sin vs WW ult, he should've seen the WW ult coming and charm as soon as he saw the ww ult animation
these are so helpful, mainly cause they're teaching me what i really need to improve. ive always thought i couldnt be very good cause im just not a mechanical god like faker, but most of this stuff is just game info and experience which i have a lot of, i just need to apply it more

I always feel like yellow trinket gets me to close to the danger and the blue trinket has to long of a cooldown while pinks/vision wards only get me in to a gold disadvantage.
I actually use Quick Casts with indicators for basicly everything. Its not much slower than standard quick casts and lets you aim spells much more accurate (especially like this example when you cast something out of range)

Si is probably why, even if I can answer right almost everyone of your tests, I'm still in silver II. I lack in general game knowledge and only playing a lot and find myself in different situations like one of these can help me improve. There is no marco/micro mistake here

You and I may be making very different mistakes and would therefore require different tips. All that aside, I just thought it was funny and therefore pointed it out, the videos are very helpful nonetheless.

You can get personnal coaching or reviewing a game with a challenger on their site (at least it's advertised this way), but they insist that if Nama does, it will be shown in the guide, proving that their method works as they told it should.

But it _will_ cancel the ult channel. What they're saying is that Nama should've been prepared, and then as soon as WW latched on to Lee, just press E. That cancels his ult, and saves Lee.

Not a mid laner so im still very skeptical towards this. Haven't been playing to much(started 7 months ago), and im stuck at bronze 1 for at least two months, so i wonder how much time Nama is playing each day to achieve this goal. Sounds to me that hes playing at least 8 hours a day which means for most people its impossible to achieve diamond in 4 months. Still nice series. Waiting for a top and bot one.
I play sine the start of the year and I reached Plat 2! Played in climbing burst In my Hollidays covid won't allow travel anyway! It took me roughly 100 hrs to get to gold and another 600 to get to Plat! Which is prob smht like 3hrs daily

Like, as soon a WW latched onto Lee Sin, he should've just pressed E to cancel his ult, saving Lee. I actually noticed that mistake as well, but I recognize that I wouldn't have done it any better due to my reaction times being a tad slow.
My thought was him dashing inwards taking a huge chunk of damage I make that mistake as My main with flash by flashing in the wrong direction getting myself caught in huge damage
Thing i feel is bad of a tip was to use indicators... it's only good if you are not necessary good at learning a champ i feel like... not alwayse the case but like ori need to have indicators off like otherwise it's just madness trying to combo
Many challenger players use quick cast with indicator, the delay is minimal once you get some practice. You can even bind it using a modifier key if you still want normal quickcast.

Is2g I watch so many videos and learn all these strats but then when it comes to actually playing brain switches off and I make mistake after mistake 😂 how does one stay cool in a stressful fight... I always feel like yellow trinket gets me to close to the danger and the blue trinket has to long of a cooldown while pinks/vision wards only get me in to a gold disadvantage.

I actually use Quick Casts with indicators for basicly everything. Its not much slower than standard quick casts and lets you aim spells much more accurate (especially like this example when you cast something out of range)
Y'all when they say they dont personally coach him they just mean that they show us every coaching video. They're not saying they don't give him personal tips, just that they're tips anyone can use

Si is probably why, even if I can answer right almost everyone of your tests, I'm still in silver II. I lack in general game knowledge and only playing a lot and find myself in different situations like one of these can help me improve. There is no marco/micro mistake here

@@whyper_rubeus I believe the goal of the series is to demonstrate how effective their product is by showing someone climbing using only the services available on their website. This coaching session by McBaze, however, is clearly not available to all who are subscribed to skillcapped, even though personal coaching is of much higher value bc he's actually giving tips that apply specifically to Nama's gameplay. You and I may be making very different mistakes and would therefore require different tips.
All that aside, I just thought it was funny and therefore pointed it out, the videos are very helpful nonetheless.
@@Jns908 I really believe that by "privately" they mean "not available on the guide". You can get personnal coaching or reviewing a game with a challenger on their site (at least it's advertised this way), but they insist that if Nama does, it will be shown in the guide, proving that their method works as they told it should.
@@valentintran6763 If they do, in fact, provide private coaching sessions by challenger players similar to what Nama gets in this video, then you are absolutely right. However, I doubt they are able to provide this kind of service to all of their 221,840 subscribers, but I could be wrong.

If your enemy is isn't in lane then yes, otherwise they can crash their wave and cause you to lose a lot of cs.

At 8:20, Warwicks ult makes him unstoppable so the charm won't do shit
But it _will_ cancel the ult channel. What they're saying is that Nama should've been prepared, and then as soon as WW latched on to Lee, just press E. That cancels his ult, and saves Lee.

@@MrJOSHLIGHT All forms of CC cancel all channels. The only exception is Irelia's W because it's supposed to reduce damage.
You can see it in action, Nama reacts late, but still uses his charm, and that completely halts the WW ult.

I disagree with some things can’t be learned unless you watch them. It came Intuitive to me to bring someone back with utility and it’s especially obvious with ori’s ult

Not a mid laner so im still very skeptical towards this.
Haven't been playing to much(started 7 months ago), and im stuck at bronze 1 for at least two months, so i wonder how much time Nama is playing each day to achieve this goal.
Sounds to me that hes playing at least 8 hours a day which means for most people its impossible to achieve diamond in 4 months.

I play sine the start of the year and I reached Plat 2! Played in climbing burst In my Hollidays covid won't allow travel anyway! It took me roughly 100 hrs to get to gold and another 600 to get to Plat! Which is prob smht like 3hrs daily

I think he's talking about cancelling the ult after ww latches on
if you throw your charm at him while he jumps, the jump will go through but the rest of the ult will cancel immediately after the jump ends

Like, as soon a WW latched onto Lee Sin, he should've just pressed E to cancel his ult, saving Lee. I actually noticed that mistake as well, but I recognize that I wouldn't have done it any better due to my reaction times being a tad slow.
My thought was him dashing inwards taking a huge chunk of damage I make that mistake as My main with flash by flashing in the wrong direction getting myself caught in huge damage

Thing i feel is bad of a tip was to use indicators... it's only good if you are not necessary good at learning a champ i feel like... not alwayse the case but like ori need to have indicators off like otherwise it's just madness trying to combo
Many challenger players use quick cast with indicator, the delay is minimal once you get some practice. You can even bind it using a modifier key if you still want normal quickcast.

Is2g I watch so many videos and learn all these strats but then when it comes to actually playing brain switches off and I make mistake after mistake 😂 how does one stay cool in a stressful fight... I'm sure it comes with experience and what not but its frustrating me when I get frustrated as a new player
