Looking awesome! Glad you are being proactive about cutting back the tropical milkweed! You might want to check into planting Asclepias tuberosa, Asclepias incarnata (although oleander aphids hit it very hard), and Asclpeias asperula for native milkweeds that would do well in your area.

Very informative video. You packed a lot into 20 minutes. A few of those plants bring back childhood memories. I remember the flowers of yellow oleander having an odd fragrance- not bad, just odd. The seedpods were good for throwing. They weren't as good as chinaberries, but pretty good. We used to put dry seedpods of Ruellia in the palms of our hands and spit on them to make them explode. I remember seeing purple verbena in a lot of yards. I'm sure it wasn't that named variety, but it looked like it.

I don't recall the flowers having a smell, but I'll check the next time mine blooms. Agree that the green seed pods are perfect for throwing. China berries were my projectile of choice as a child. Had a big tree in my front yard in Beaumont and eventually developed an allergy to it so my folks cut it down. Thanks for watching and your comments.

Michelle and I decide to put blue salvias in the landscape after seeing your success. I’m trying to decide on which peppers and tomatoes for next year. I may need to sample your varieties! :)

Great to hear! Love salvia. As for tomatoes, there are a lot of great choices. I'll have a nice variety in the spring that you can't find at the local nursery or big box. Also, you can still plant tomatoes. Fall tomatoes do well here.

I love growing zinnias from seed! 🙌 Gorgeous
I’m excited for my charentais; I hope mine get as big as your volunteers 😲🤞
Such a cute little melon. I haven’t tried them before. My friend, who is married to a Frenchman, requested that I grow some for her. So fun that you got volunteers.
Your garden is really beautiful. Love all the variety and beneficials to wildlife and pollinators. Great work!
